I've played both Mass Effect and Geometry Wars so far on my One, no issues.

I've been staring at my neglected 360 for months now and this just inspired me to put it on CL. Can't wait to hopefully finish my unplayed pile on the One.

I'll also jump on the preview invite train!

Next big question, will they be able to add Kinect games of the 360 onto the BC list down the road? My small not well lit room was not great on the 360, but with the new Kinect it has done a much better job. Would love to be able to play those 360 games with the better Kinect.

Doesn't sound like Kinect games will happen. There's a Major Nelson video on the dash where they talk about the BC, and they basically dismiss bringing anything over that needs 360 specific peripherals.

Crap, yeah heard it listening to the video for a 2nd time this morning. MAYBE down the road they can overcome that somehow, who knows.

From the video Deftones posted, they say that they can't use "the original Kinect," but what'd be interesting is if they could somehow use the Kinect 2 in conjunction with the emulated 360 games. Something like downrezzing the camera image to what the 360 game expects, etc. The downside to this method would be that the Kinect 2 would likely lose the technical advantages over the original Kinect, so 360 Kinect games wouldn't necessarily play any better on an Xbox One as far as Kinect sensitivity and accuracy go.

Another interesting thing from the video is the change in the Xbox 360 guide, seen at about the 30 second mark.
https://youtu.be/lPQuDyWULNU?t=30s

Instead of the "Xbox Home" option, you now have the "Leave Game" option. Also, the bottom option to deal with the disc tray is gone. Finally, it looks like the "Leave Game" option pulls you out to the Xbox One Dashboard.

At least this emulation means that the 360 Xbox Live servers will need to be left on indefinitely now.

This and RARE Replay (so long as Bad Fur Day is live enabled) is the best news I've heard in a while for games.

re: Xbox One: S $249 Now / X $499 November 7 2017

Played some Super Meat Boy last night, using the new emulation feature.
Loading the game took longer than expected, as it needed to load the 360 VM, THEN the game.
Only Cloud Saves are an option. No local saves. I figured they'd find a way to make those work but whatever.
Game played fine. Fast and responsive. I died a lot, though, so I blame that on inaccuracy, and totally not on my fading twitch-gaming skills.
I look forward to bigger titles to play.

Like Deadly Premonition. You know you can vote for games, right?

I've played several games now and it only did that the first time, almost like it's a one-time setup of the emulation software.

Guess i'll play the first episode of Game of Thrones since it's free while I wait for a bigger discount on Steam for all of it.
