That Amazon Prime release day delivery doesn't exist up here. We have Prime, but it's pretty much worthless.

Ah, that's a shame. Guess Microsoft has you hook, line, and sinker then!

Nah, I'm fine waiting for most games to drop. To date, I've only bought two games at $60. Everything else has been much cheaper, but only because I owned previous versions already or the MSRP is lower. I'll wait for the full $60 games like AC4 to drop to $30 or $20, no matter how long that takes.

I think the blu ray patch helped the 24 htz problem but I only tried one disc.

Also decided to play my second game on the system. Opened and put in dead rising. After seeing it had to install and download a massive update, went back to my PS4 to play a game of nba 2k14. Went back, still loading. Played another game, still waiting. Went to sleep and I assume it finished, but now I can't load past the splash screen. Held down the power button for 10 seconds, same thing. Do I have to unplug this thing or delete and reinstall and wait again? Ridiculous.

Where's up here? I've never had an issue with Prime in all the years I've had it. In fact I've gotten more stuff a day earlier than quoted than a day late.

Presumably he means Canada? amazon.ca has release date shipping, according to their site, but it does sound more hit or miss than it is in the U.S. (maybe because their infrastructure isn't as built out north of the border?).

Release-Date Delivery is available for selected pre-order items we know we can deliver on the date the item releases to select postal codes within Canada. Some carriers make deliveries to residential addresses as late as 8 p.m., so please allow sufficient time for the delivery.

Yup. I live in a major city, so it's not that bad, I guess. I just find that the promise of "release day delivery" isn't that great, living in a major city not called Toronto. I'm on the West side of the country (not the coast, but more west than central), and all of my deliveries have always come from the Toronto-area warehouse.
For me, Prime isn't worth it unless we get all of the same features as the US, but we still don't have Amazon Instant Video up here, and I don't think we have the Kindle Library thing either. Amazon.ca HAS gotten better over the last few years, but I feel like it still has a way to go.

Anyway, none of that matters for next-gen gaming, because I buy my games digitally.

Ah ok, that's what I was figuring. I actually just got back from Whistler/Vancouver last night. Absolutely amazing time.

Looks like we get a new game announcement today. Phil Spencer tweeted last night and Major Nelson followed up saying it was going to be a busy day. Too add even more speculations, the Crackdown developer jumped in the mix.

Crackdown 3 finally?? Halo 2 Anniversary??

If it's anything like Crackdown 2, they can go ahead and not ever release part 3

I'd love a Crackdown 3 that was like Crackdown. That was a fun game despite glitches and dated graphics. Yeah, I don't know why they fucked up Crackedown 2 so bad, but moving studios certainly didn't help. I think that game sold really poorly -- it deserved to.

You mean besides Gears of War?

I will love them to do Gears 1 remake, with pretty graphics. Just so the team gets used to the brand. They can release it in 2014, and then a new game in 2016.

The Crackdown 3 game has been rumored for a long time, specially because Microsoft has hinted about it a lot.

A 2014 re-release of Gears with updated graphics isn't enough time to make the graphics a worthwhile update. IMHO at least. They could up the resolution and textures a bit, but they need to totally redo the in-game models.

Yeah, I guess you are right.

I still think a remake should be a good idea.

One of the eBay daily deals is an Xbox One for $480 sold by NewEgg. Not sure if there are any eBay coupons floating around to sweeten the deal.

Gears never did it for me... I'd love to see these studios try something new like Respawn is with Titanfall.

I saw FOUR Xbox Ones at Wal-mart the other day. FOUR.
I think we can all agree that this console war is over.

Since launch, I've seen 3 ps4 in stock at stores, all a same location in one day, and countless xbox ones. Microsoft probably just did a much better job of meeting demand.

Does that mean Microsoft is winning since they can actually produce enough to put on shelves?

No. No one's really buying them at the moment.

Microsft sold more X1s in the USA (than Sony PS4s) in December because of this. I expect January to be the same.

Yes, if you look really hard you can find a PS4. X1s are easier to find.

Microsoft's working on something similar to 1 vs 100

One of the most well-received experiments of the Xbox 360 era was the interactive adaption of popular gameshow 1 vs. 100. The social trivia experience is fondly remembered by most, and fans have expressed their interest in its return. While that'll likely never happen, Microsoft looks to have something similar up its sleeve.

Speaking with Polygon, Microsoft Studios' Dave McCarthy said "We will do something in the future for Xbox One that is like [1 vs. 100], because spiritually we thought it was a pretty cool experience, ourselves." He also added "It has a good image here. The approach is something we really enjoyed." Phil Spencer originally hinted last May at this style of game returning to the Xbox service, but McCarthy's words seem to be a bit more concrete.

Judging by the fact that 1 vs. 100 had more than 114,000 concurrent players at it's peak, the game appears to have a good image among Xbox Live users, as well. A new title along the same lines could go a long way toward swaying people to the Xbox platform. It may not necessarily be a system seller, but it might be a damn fine reason to keep coming back to the Xbox One.

-I remember playing this with my Dad every live show. We had so much fun. I can see something like The Weakest Link working in this format.

Yeah, 1 vs 100 was a lot of fun. I'd love to see something similar come up.

Unrelated, but Crimson Dragon is now $5 off. Has anyone played it?
