And speaking of confusing naming, apparently the Xbox One X, not Series X, sales shot up 747% on Amazon today. Think anyone bought the wrong Xbox?
The One X was the first listed thing when I did a Series X search before it got listed.

Of all those, just AC is what I want. Maybe Madden and Watch Dogs if it gets good reviews.

Hmmm. It currently looks like a PS3 game so my hopes are not very high. Still it's welcome news that it will look at least somewhat better.

Isn't NBA 2k21 also day one?

It looks like they haven't set a precise day but it'll be around then. playstation.com still says "PS5 date to be confirmed"'; xbox.com sez "Product does not yet have a firm release date. If pre-ordered, you will be notified when the release date is set".

@XboxGamePass: Melissa said not to drop hints so we're not dropping hints. there are absolutely no hints in this screenshot. don't bother looking for them. there are none https://t.co/0PQ41B260S

Hidden text says "The Slayer is Coming." Speculation is that Doom Eternal will be Game Pass launch.

Speaking of NBA 2K, how is it that we are 7 weeks out and haven’t even seen anything from these next gen sports games?

Probably because they won't be any different than current gen and they don't want use to see that yet. I have no hope that either EA or 2K put any real work into next gen versions this year.

Considering how botched the current gen NBA 2K21 seems to be, I really hope they put all their eggs in the next gen basket and that's why it sucks.

I'm really wondering what their sales are like. With the NBA season being delayed, nobody is even thinking about next season yet, which means that the new game doesn't even have rosters any different from 2k20.

2K claims NBA 2K21 is built from the ground up for next gen, but I trust them as far as I can throw them so I bet you are right.

Right, the first letter of every sentence, and then in the blank space below there's a message that only shows up when manipulating brightness on the image.

I just want to know whether or not Flight Simulator will come to at least the Series X or not since hopefully it will be powerful enough to handle it.

It will, but there isn't a timeline yet. I assume sometime next year.

It definitely is. There was an interview from the developers of Flight Simulator a couple weeks ago and they stated they're currently working on an XSX version.

Flight Simulator is using DirectX 11, and the developers stated they'll be updating it to use DirectX 12 to take advantage of the newer CPUs... and XSX supports DirectX 12U - so it's possible they're doing this at the same time.

Thanks, yeah hopefully sooner than later. But plenty to play until then. That's for sure. As far as actually purchasing will probably get CoD prior to year-end hopefully at a slight discount. Otherwise will have plenty with GamePass(Gears Tactics/Tetris) already and now EA Access(Star Wars Squadrons and the newer Jedi game that I did not get) joining it to hold me over.

You forget how EA Access works. There will be some sort of timed trial for SW Squadrons but not the whole game for at least 9 months.

Oh. I guess not a Buffy game. Anyway....Granted, I'm following MS more than Sony, but I think MS is doing some really cool things this and next gen. My last two consoles were MS, but before that I was Sony (and before that I was Sega), so I'm not a total MS fanboy. I will grant that Sony has got a few big name exclusives, but many of them are franchises I'm not really interested in. But GP really offers a lot of variety, and a lot of people including myself are probably okay having access to 200+ games for the price of 3 games a year.
The naming of the consoles is about the main thing Sony has done clearly better.

I'd say outselling the competition 2:1 is up there.

Re: Xbox Series X - 11/10/20

For first party games available for launch at no cost, Game Pass is mind blowing. For third party games, I am not thrilled because they can be pulled with little warning and losing a game I have put hours into but haven't finished is to me worse than never playing it in the first place.
