Why So Blu?

I've yet to find a skull, so I figure I have to buy it from the occultist or something? The only thing I've ever bought from him were some whispering keys.

I did beat that level with the burning church and took the wood axe back to the woman in the town that wanted it.

I would think so, though your enjoyment level is directly tied to which spells you choose. Choose wrong and the gameplay will feel pretty clunky. I'd recommend a leveling guide.

Oh, another thing I found super annoying! I don't know if any of you play couch co-op, but diablo 3 was great for that, in that if one person had to put down their controller for something, their character would get dragged along by the other character. D4 does that, but not nearly as well, and there's tons of spots where the person just gets stuck and won't move on. Also, there's a ton of quests where you can't skip past the dialog. After you've done that once or twice, you really don't need to hear someone moan on and on about their dead wife or whatever. Just give me the thingamajabob I need and shut up! LOL. Seems like there's a lot of nit-picky things like that in D4 that hopefully will get resolved in patches. I remember d3 was a total mess on release, so I'm not too worried.

Out of all the jewels, skulls are usually harder to find. However, they do drop.

Diablo 3 was the exception. The franchise is well known for its darkness and bleakness.

I, on the other hand, I’m happy for its return to its roots. There’s no happy ending here.

I’m at WT3 and the Dungeons kicked my butt. However, it’s worth it because of the XP I’m getting.

Yeah, I found two this morning. One was a chipped skull and the other was a crude skull.

Also got a legendary helmet, legendary ring, and legendary "pants." All from random drops. I also ran into a Legion Event - I think that's what it was called and it was fun as hell.

What I need to figure out is how to get more of the materials needed to make holes in some of the equipment. I've got the money but not the material thingy, I can't really tell what it is or where to source it from.

I haven’t looked into what material is needed to create a socket but I hope you are thinking of adding it to Legendary and not a Rare or Magic. Are you salvaging your gear?

Why So Blu?

I do salvage the gear to upgrade my armor and weapons since all of my gear and weapons is legendary and rare at this point. Rare is the orange color, right? Legendary is like a dark red, I think. Yeah, I want to add sockets to 3 pieces of gear. I seem to have the money for it, but not the materials for it.

EDIT - Scattered Prisms are what I need and according to google they are hard to farm.

I believe that’s the rank for all of the gear that can drop for you.

If you are a necromancer that chose to sacrifice your minions for the bonus, do you still need to keep your minion skill on your skill bar to get the sacrifice bonus?
I'm tryng to make a Shadow/darkness necromancer, and am annoyed there's no shadow ultimate skill. Cmon blizzard!

I’m using a Bloodmancer build and I sacrificed all of my minions and I didn’t place the summon skills on my action bar. You only have space for 6 so space is very limited in terms of what skills you can set.

Yeah, I have 3 legendary items and the rest are rare items. I tend to salvage weaker rare, magic and common items.

I forgot that I had two stackable coupons in my GameFly account. It was $20 worth, which brought down my total (if I want to keep the game it $58.49) to $42 and some change shipped with sales tax. I went for it, so looks like I'm in this shit for the long haul.

You need to plan out on how to spend your Paragon points in order to maximize your Magic nodes along with the Magic Glyph spot. The damage percentage and Armour that can give you makes your character really strong. I’m able to handle myself on T3 now. Plus all of the opportunities to get great gear.

I think it's after you finish Act 1. I 've been running around doing side quests and dungeons and just finished Act 1 yesterday, at lvl 40 , and had one pop up on the map right after that.

though I was looking at a guide for Act 2 and I had done some of those quests before finishing Act 1.

Yeah, I finished the side missions, that I finally went back to work on Act I. I'm sure more side missions will populate, but I don't see anymore, and I also don't see anymore exclamation marks. I checked my log and it says that I have already spent 25hrs playing the game and I just got it a week ago.

I got to a point in the game where this really strong monster called "Seething Abomination." I killed him by myself but it took forever. There were these three columns nearby that were activated by some sort of seeds in the area. I didn't get anything from them, though, It's part of the PVP portion of the game.

2 things I'm already seeing as over used:
1). a mini boss that's "locked" until you kill 3/4 mobs that are tethered to him by a squiggly line. Lost track of how many times I've done this now.
2). dungeon design where the is a locked door, and you must go left to get a thing/hit a switch, come back to the door, and then go right and get a thing/hit a switch, then the door opens. Is this really peak dungeon design in 2023??

I'm actually getting kind of bummed that this game isn't hitting me quite like I'd expected.

I’m having lots of fun doing the Tree of Whispers favours as well as leveling up and getting the rewards in T3. I’m currently at Lv. 59 with my Bloodmancer but going to T4 is not a good idea yet. The litmus test for me will be clearing a dungeon solo on T3 which I can’t really do yet.

I beat 2 out of the 3 World Bosses. Ashava and Avarice. I really don’t know who the third one is.

I’m also currently 2/10 for the cache of chaos for the trophy.
