Hi Decker,
You should most definitely be in WT1 if you are trying to finish the campaign solo. The aggravation and extra time it is taking you is definitely not worth the extra XP and gold. Drop down to WT1 and don't look back. Also, a fire build sorc is very viable when leveling albeit a tad slower than an arc lash build. Check out Icy Veins and Maxroll for builds if interested. Ice is very good too but VERY mana dependent early on.

How so? Pretty sure you get the same gear (item power and rng% to drop) on WT1 and WT2. The in-game difficulty explanations state WT2 has "enemies provide more of a challenge" and "enemies give 20% more xp and drop 15% more gold)". Only Rare and Legendary items drop on WT1 and 2, Sacred items drop on WT3+, and Ancestral on WT4+ (I'm not sure about Uniques).

Where do I sell stuff to make room to pick up more stuff?
I finally put armor on myself and when I restarted the game I didn't recognize myself and I thought I was the guy following me
I'm just going around killing stuff until a higher level.

I've done 3 events so far and am level 12. I'm starting to enjoy it more. Next time I'm in a town I'll try again.

Make sure that you turn on the Advanced tooltip under Options/Gameplay to see if your gear are worth it or not. I can’t believe that I didn’t have this on.

It's rough early on especially solo till you start opening your Skill Tree some...It's highly advisable in fact to just do Tier 1 until you feel a bit comfortable. The Tier 2 XP Boost is 20% but the enemy difficulty early on can be frustrating with not dealing enough damage and taking too much. At level 15 you need to try the Class Quest...each class has a sort of specific quest that opens up a ability boost...and they can be a bit tough early on; Sorc has aa Dungeon, Druid has theirs way over west and it's a Stronghold, Rouge has a few quests and final is a another Rouge Elite
.....we got a bit sidetracked trying to do quests, events, dungeons, cellars, etc...and should've tried to tackle campaign more...but solo, it's no joke....I helped Decker on two last night which he said he died a lot . .on those Events that pop up, the Orange Circle, when you collect those blue loot items...Murmuring Obols....you do know where to go and advice is buy The Keys (very bottom of list) and not spend if you can help it on items. Keys are 20 of the Obuls whereas items on the list are 40 to 75. And at Tier 1 & 2 the odds are not good getting decent stuff. The keys give you a better chance at the Special Chests you can come across.
...and if you can find someone to run some of that campaign stuff or even some Dungeons which are good source of XP and loot, for every member it's 10% XP boost...so if you can then run Tier 2 that's another 20%...and at the Alcamist in town where you upgrade your healing Potions, you can get some Elixers that help with some extra Armor and give another 5% XP boost....

I'm T1. I found out I had a chest
Put everything there until I find the store. But now it won't let me take it back, I hold A like it says and it makes a full circle but doesn't put it back into what I'm holding.
Just found side quests!

I think I'm almost finished with the main story, I think I'm just going to finish this out on WT1 and then move up to WT2 to work on the side quests. Once you get leveled up and better gear the challenge goes down quite a bit in WT1. I beat the boss at the end of Act IV without having to use a health potion.

Curious as to your thoughts on how Diablo handles seasons and the battle pass. You have to create a new seasonal character to advance the battle pass. So every 3 months or so, assuming you want to participate in seasons, you have to create a new character. Your launch character you just poured tons of hours in to has to sit on the sideline. Absolutely no point to level an alt now either as you might as well wait till the season starts. I knew this is how it worked in Diablo 3 (creating a new character each season) but I seem to remember it was way faster to level in D3 and didn't bug me as much as this is for D4.

As far as I could tell. I played about halfway in Tier 2 on first character, then decided to change to Tier 1. Went much faster, and I still got drops that kept me going (and at this point, are mostly better than what I've gotten in Nightmare although I'm sure that will change). Only part that was really hard was the last boss in the dungeon to go to Nightmare (everything else was hard but doable) but I got through with a bit of leveling and adjusting my play a bit (more exploding corpses).

There's a known bug with the side quest on "destroying the ring(?)" mission. The box with the ring is there but it won't let you open it. On the PS5 there's a portal right by it and you'll get beamed out of there if you step to close to it.
EDIT - it's the side quest called "treasure or trash." Objective: Retrieve Deactivated Ring." That's the buggy one.
