I played for about an hour. Going with a firewall sorc and I’m enjoying it much more than the necro. Leveling seems to go faster like they said it would. I’m at level 12 on Tier 2 after about an hour. Legion events definitely pop up faster.

Tried to play a little more tonight and what a mess. It was pretty much unplayable. Massive lag and rubber banding issues. You couldn't interact with vendors.

The vendor where you spend orbs wasn't even where his spot on the map is.

I checked Twitter and a lot of people were experiencing the same thing.

We had that issue and probably everyone else the first day/night (Tuesday)...there was even some notice they put out along with crossplay being disabled. my friend got kicked and I didn't and then went to town and noticed...no-one was around. Tried to interact with anyone and nothing so I got out...rebooted entire system and then got back in but it was late so called it. They had a patch yesterday when I started out, we played 9PS5) for about two hours last night and not a single issue; Dungeons, Legion Event, World Boss, Quests...it was all normal....sure some might be having issues but there was plenty when game was released, some with season 1 and now with season 2 but Blizzard has responded prettty good and fast with each time.

We haven't messed with new powers but I have seen some at work with events. We're not doing mega XP Farming and it seems leveling is a bit quicker and better. the new Season Theme with Powers, Packs, Resources has you thinking a bit more than the sort of "Cookie-Cutter Builds" you see with Diablo to Path of Exile and others. We can't wait to try them out....

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

This season is a massive improvement over season 1. Even the Reddit Diablo4 board has been pretty positive about it

Between frequent legion events and the Blood Harvest leveling up is much easier in the early game. Your speed buff to the horse actually feels like you’re moving faster.

If anyone wants to run the tier 2 capstone dungeon next week let me know.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

Blizzcon started yesterday and below is the Diablo 4 segment.....a lot of good stuff of all the changes for Season 2 along with new stuff coming for Season 2, a small add-on for Season 3 but nothing else but the announcement of the 1st D4 Expansion coming late next year...Vessel of Hatred with a small CGI trailer along with a promised New Class coming that's never ever been seen before....

I don't know if anyone is still playing season 2, but Blizzard has reportedly buffed Uber drops from Duriel temporarily . I tried once last night solo and didn't get anything special.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

I got this game for Christmas and so far like the gameplay and story better than D3. (Not very far into the game though.) My main char is a lvl 10 Barbarian and I've got level 2 everything else.
Couple questions:
- Seasons - what are they? Since I haven't finished the campaign yet, I don't get full access until I do, or unless I Skip Campaign? I want to do the campaign at least once, but what happens if I Skip Campaign with one of new characters?
- The Blightwhatever - There's a side quest to defeat creatures in the Blightlands or something and trade in their essence or whatever. I assume I get XP for defeating the creatures, but is the reward for the collectathon just cosmetic stuff?
- Barbarian - I have a sword, a hammer, and two one handed weapons equipped. Does he automatically use whichever weapon applies to the skill I'm using? So I can use a slashing skill, then a bludgeoning skill, and he'll switch weapons on the fly and increase my Expertise for each?
- Is it generally better to sell, or Salvage, junk? Again, just a few hours in, but so far I haven't seen anything worth buying.
- Comment, not a question - I'm not a fan of the always online thing. More and more games are going there, I guess.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

Seasons are just new content and you have to start a new character at the start of the season. There’s only about a month left of season 2 so you can probably finish the campaign before season 3 starts. Most of the players still playing season 2 are in world tier 4 which is the highest difficulty so there might not be many people around in the lower levels.

Midwinter Blight is just an event that ends Tuesday. Most of the rewards are just cosmetics. You’ll still get XP but it’s not something and if you find frostbitten villagers, they’ll drop some high level items,

Early on it’s probably best to sell stuff since you’re not really getting anything useful by salvaging,

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

My first playthrough as a Barbarian solo on Tier 2. Last night I was at level 49.5 while just 100% the Fractured Peaks map and only completing Act I. Today so far have gotten a couple of Paragon points, doing the 2nd map exploring and side stuff as before. Game is fun killing stuff quickly and progressing and also a drag when getting your ass kicked, trying to find the best built. But I am loving it.

Good to hear...I haven't played much since hitting 100 in Season...but there's a few things we didn't do like to but we are playing Warframe now....however if you need...help and company...I have no problem jumping in, in fact came close the other day just to play around. There's several good builds for Barb, however most will show builds at around Level70 and up with some specific gear. I have two Barbs for normal play....he was my starting one. I can say no matter what, The Shouts are your friend.....and in group play everyone's friend. Since Barbs are in the thick of things and up front, Armor, Health, Resist are important....I preferred Slash weapons BUT remember the fact you carry three and the 3rd Heavy Weapon acts like a "Stat Stick"...the stats on it play a role in overall damage. I used a Legendary...there's 2-3 you look for....Two Hand but the 3rd was a Two Hand Hammer.....I did use both Dash and Leap as a sort of "Get out of the mix when it got tough" ability. Berserker for the ultimate or you can use Call of Ancients. But if you stagger you Shouts you can always have one going that Buffs and De-Buffs and when in Berserker form you really are Killing and Surviving.....

My other Barb is straight a Thorn Tank for agro in group play and she can take about anything....it's due to the Special Chest pc and gear I re-rolled for that purpose....

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

There's supposed to be some news on season 3 that drops today and then the notes on Thursday.

I haven't played in a few weeks either. I tried Uber-Lilith solo a few times, got her health down to as low as it can go in stage 1, but could never get past the part with the spikes. I got bored farming Duriel for nothing special. I could have filled up entire chest with Godslayer Crowns.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

Just released.

Diablo IV Season 3: Season of The Construct Announced

Evil Looms

Blizzard has announced the third season of Diablo IV, Season of The Construct!

Season of The Construct, with the Seneschal Companion as central theme, starts on Tuesday, January 23. There will be no delay between Season of Blood ending and the third Seasson starting.

Season of The Construct brings many new mechanics and Quality of Life features to Diablo 4.

Seasonal Mechanic

Article in progress...
  • Zoltun Kulle’s Loom
  • new Dungeon type called Vaults
  • a seasonal robotic Seneschal Companion

Zoltun Kulle's Legacy Seasonal Questline and Vaults

Season 3's questline will investigate an ancient device, The Loom, designed by Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan of Caldeum. Ayuzhan leads you through the Vaults to stop The Demon Malphas' corruption.

Seneschal Companion

With the power of the Loom you will be able to control your very own Companion. The Seneschal Companion will act like a kind of mercenary that will aide you in combat.
the Seneschal CompanionGoverning and Tuning Stones will be the main resource to control this companion. Governing Stones determine which attacks your Seneschal can perform, while Tuning Stones will augment those skills and provide greater utility.

You can equip your Seneschal with 2 Governing Stones and 6 Tuning Stones, one Governing stone for each attack and three Tuning Stones to augment the ability. There are 12 Governing Stones and 27 different Tuning Stones of different rarities to seek out in the Vaults to unlock the full power of the Seneschal construct.

Governing and Turning Stone UI

Vaults

The Vaults are specialized dungeons that house elemental Hazards devised by Zoltun Kulle and Ayuzhan themselves. Amongst the Hazards lay The Constructs, an entirely new monster family.
new Mechanical Monster FamilyAt World Tier III, Nightmare Vaults unlock. Vault Sigils will drop alongside typical Nightmare Dungeon Sigils, or they can be crafted which will require Pearls of Warding to create. These Vaults function similar to Nightmare Dungeons.

The Gauntlet: Weekly Challenge Dungeon

The Gauntlet, a Seasonal Realm challenge, offers a competitive yet flexible Dungeon experience. Players must skillfully combine strategy and expertise to achieve high scores.

To increase their scores, players must gather Proofs of Might. These can be acquired by defeating Monsters and destroying objects within the Gauntlet.

Leaderboards

  • One leaderboard will track our Ladder/Seasonal progress, which they've called "Trials" here.
  • Another leaderboard will track the Weekly Gauntlet champions
  • The final leaderboard is a historical leaderboard, and will display the top 10 player performances in the Gauntlet of all time. This leaderboard is called Hall of the Ancients.

Quality of Life Updates

  • Helltides now last for 55 minutes, with a 5 minute break between each rotation.
  • PC players can now navigate by using the W-A-S-D keys on your keyboard, instead of your mouse.
  • An extra Stash Tab is now available
Wait and see what the patch notes look like, but may try as a barb or a druid this season.

After completing Act 2 and going back to find Lilith statues and doing dungeons and such, I started to get bored walking back & forth. I decided to skip that and finish Act 3, so I could get my Horse . Oh yeah doing side stuff is much better. So I went back to finish up Act II stuff and now I'm finishing up Act 3 stuff.

Patch notes for season 3

https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/diab...iv-patch-notes

Glad they are making distilled fear easier to collect.

Helltides basically running constantly should make it easier to level up once you pass lvl 50.

Forgot to mention:

Oh yeah had forgotten about the Treasure Goblins from part 3 Ultimate Edition (That was my first time playing a diablo game) until they stared showing up around when I was level 45-47. I love beating their ass up.

Season 3 starts today.

Going to start with a Lightning Storm Druid and see how it goes.

Had a blast playing BL Sorc last season, but they nerfed it.

Well, you picked one of the Top Builds to go with. I've watched both Wudijo and now Rhyker's Top Tier List for Season 3 and both almost had the same lists and reasons.....Barbs are Top with several build choices. Hammer of Ancients got slight nerf but Rend and Charge got some buffs. Also they've fine tuned/re-worked Shout. Sounds like you really don't need Three Shouts to maintain and survive like before....I had Three Shouts in both my builds basically staggering them so to keep one up all the time.

Druids still the slowest from 1 to 50 but End Game...uper strong....Pulverize got Nerf but Storm Lighting is looking to be the best with Tornado and Wolf right behind..... Necro has a few options with Bone Spear and Bone Spirit which might be the sleeper build to watch. Still super fast leveling from 1 to 50 with Blood Surge. The Summoner Build the Weakest......Sadly Rogues fell to bottom...they Nerfed Twisting Blades and Poison however Range Rogue looks to be the Best Build option and still strong.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

I changed my mind last minute and went with a Barb. I'm going with a HotA build and see what others are saying about the other options.

Played for a few hours last night and leveled up to 21 but so far this season seems like it could be dull. I read the team that did season 1 did this one and it shows.

The Blood Harvest last season added a lot and this one is missing that.

I'm not going to hit the "Panic Button" right away...it'll probably be more patches and updates down the road just like with past seasons and normal game mode. Plus early on it's sort of ...too early to pass judgement. My fear is with everyone calling & crying for More Buffs, More Easier this & that, one step backwards or any slight of..."This is too tough, to hard, I can't do %$#@! damage, I'm getting my rear kicked, this is frustrating...I give up" moments...because DEVs caved to all that and many got spoiled. And with some recent Nerfs on the OP Builds from last season, I see those who cried about NOT having OP Builds and basically mopping the floor doing solo are going to be right back crying they can'tjust cakewalk thru with broken builds....

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

Few days ago found my first WORLD BOSS event. I was the only one there, died with the quickness multiple times. Anyway missed a couple along the days. Last nigh/morning 12:30AM found another and their was one other random there. I was like great we gonna get are ass handed, but wthell I'll swing way. Then other randoms started appearing, so we ended up being like 6-7, and we beat it with 3-5 seconds left on timer . Got my achievement and 4 legendaries.

This morning joined another World Boss and had like 5-6 peeps' and we beat it with like 3 minutes left. Later on in the day finally defeated LILITH and got my first UNIQUE, which was a ring and before signing off found a World event with 20 seconds left to find. Beat that also, had like 5 minutes left on timer.

Just need some after campaign side missions to do. I'm currently @ level 60.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

There's websites that have timers for world boss events.

Those events are a lot better in WT 3 & 4 because you won't have players showing up that are severely under leveled and die repeatedly.

Last season if you had a few BL sorcs in the group you could take it down in 10 secs
