I'm 61...and T4 Enemies are rated at 70+...I tried a few Whisper Tree Quests in T4 klast night and just not quite there. It didn't take much to get my health down. I'll have to wait and run with someone else in T4 to do that....and in Helltide I guess the 175 Chest is only T4...we did T3 Helltide...Tim is back...and never saw it, just 125

We've mentioned the "Damage Buckets" before and this is pretty good read explaining them and the need to expand the various damage types over focusing on 1-2...

175 chest is in T3 Helltides, it's what I always go for. Have to use Helltides.com to find it, though.

I was taking over strongholds last night. The only one I can't seem to nail is the one by the light tower -- that part of the map reminds of John Carpenter's The Fog. That fucking boss is still way too strong for me.

Also been discovering some more side quests in spots that I had gone through.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

It's kind of stupid of me because you need to be at least in Nightmare to get good drops, but I was finding Necro kind of boring, so tried all other types up to 20, settled on Sorcerer for now (Rogue was good too but too many healing potions, the others my build was too slow). Anyway, finished campaign at 44, so leveling up a bit to try to move to Nightmare. I didn't die whole time except at like level 5 and then on Lilith because I was cocky and stood right next to her on second phase which is apparently instant death. Then I immediately after died from just not paying attention on a stupid event. Hopefully doesn't slow down too much when I get to Nightmare, because so far I'm liking this character.

I do have a whopping 1 Unique on the Necro (not counting the Ring everyone gets), I was riding around and some barbarian killed something next to me and there was Bloodless Scream, which is not my build at all, but I might try it. My build now I don't die, but it's just slow and I get bored playing it, especially after Sorcerer.

First time playing last night that I was on when a world boss popped up. It was Avarice.

There were about 9 of us that showed up and almost all of them were barbarians. We took it down with about a minute left.

Are you trying the Shadowmancer? I’m running a Sever Shadowmancer. I ditched the Bloodless Scream and went with Wand for a faster hit. I have the unique Howl from Below that gives me the exploding ghosts which I just spam nonstop. It’s very hard to see playing with me.

Diablo 4 Update 1.0.3 Patch Notes For Today (June 27) (dualshockers.com)

I hooked up with N9 last night, he's come a long way with his Rogue and we ran T4 Everything....two Nightmare Dungeons (Level 21), Three Strongholds, Helltide, A Legion Event and one Whisper....I still died a few times but far, far less than that Real Hell T4 Level 30 Nightmare Dungeon.....it wasn't bad but still, no-way I can run T4 Stuff Solo.....On that legion Even, I've never seen anything like the destruction and elimination of enemies that fast ever...it might as well been Level 70 Players against Level 20 enemies....everything was literally falling over, evaporating as we ran....it was more of a running marathon none stop....some players out there have some serious damage dealing builds....grab Tim tonight when he gets on...start out small at least.....he doesn't take it well dying a lot no matter what...

Got to the 50s and WT 3 with my Druid/companion build. Lots of playing and leveling and I wasn't really getting any good gear for the build. I switched to a pulverize werebear since I have the Vasilys Prayer helmet in my stash. Boy is smashing things fun. Hit level 62 and just got my Umbral ring (4) in a recent helltide. It is making higher level nightmare dungeons much easier since I can pulverize a whole lot more now.

I had been running a Pulverize all the way to 54 but then got some very specific gear for...Shred...which Shred and Rabies got huge buffs with latest patch....I'm trying it just to mix it up. We have one in our clan group who is 85 and runs a All Wearbear Pulverize and able to do T4 level 30 Nightmare Dungeons solo...but he's been the most lucky on getting the right gear at the right time....I'm getting Storm, Werewolf, Earth Skill Gear left and right

Haha, it's like the game knows. Very soon after I left my companion build I finally got the aspect that gives me an extra wolf.

Does that work with the creeper? My partner tried it, and he only uses the creeper for companion, and he didn’t notice anything different.

Also, there’s a affix that’s something like “your companions get the bonuses from this skill”. …
but it isn’t clear if you actually have to have a point in that skill for your companions to get it or not. Did some googling, and some people said yes, some said no. LOL

Adjusted my jewels for the Barbarian. All of my armor has full rubies. My weapons and jewelry have skulls.

I think Shadowmancer is one of the things I tried, it wasn't good for me at this point. Went to bloodmancer, I survive well but it feels slow (especially after sorcerer) so not sure what I'll do next. At least the amount respecs cost is basically nothing (considering how much you actually get). I'd really like to find a minion build that works (I did find one online specially for the Bloodless Scream) because Minions is why I wanted to play a necromancer in the first place!

Sorcerer got to Nightmare just fine at 50 (Curator went down quick and easy), then I started getting one-shot a bunch. Replacing my pretty good for Tier 1/Tier 2 equipment (Legendary stuff) with mediocre (but higher base stats) Nightmare equipment seems to help a lot. Not really modding any of it because hopefully it will all be replaced soon once I get a rhythm going.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

Well, I did end up buying this, deciding on PS5 because of the clan chat here.

I install the game and get prompted to buy PS+, which I canceled last year because I didn’t play enough to justify paying for both it and Game Pass. So now I can’t do online interactions unless I re-up, but do I really want to do that, and if so, how long do I expect to play the game? I could buy a month, or pay proportionally less if I do longer. So I haven’t done anything about it.

I choose a barbarian and go skulking down into some ruins. I’m fighting what appears to be the final boss…when I get kicked off battlenet and end up back at the surface. I did get through that, though, and am now in a town where there seems to be way too much to do, so I put it away for a few days. I like the game, but there’s definitely a learning curve.

Early on the Barb is probably the hardest to level up.....they don't have a lot of AOE Skills, are usually right up front all the time and don't have many points to work with on various Skills and Passives that help with Damage and Survivability. Best bet is just run Tier 1 to level up some...be longer than Tier 2...and hope to get some better gear....2HD weapons deal the most damage and it's a personal preference on what you want to use...I go with 2HD swords 1st...2HD Axes 2nd.....be sure to load the strong weapons in the other slots as those act as 'Stat Sticks'....you get the perks off of them added in to damage even if you don't use them....Armor and Strength are your friends just as much as The Shouts are...War Cry is a staple of The barb and Rally is just as good...keep those staggered

I'm starting to have more issues just going around the map, I almost died and I saved myself by exiting the game and then went ahead and dien died anyway when I started playing again, the regular overworld monsters just walking around are plowing through me.

Yeah, I find I get swarmed a lot, which is not fun. It was probably a bad choice because in, say, Assassin’s Creed I heavily rely on the bow to keep my distance, but for starting out, I thought simpler might be better. I did enjoy the increased damage with the two-handlers, though.

Got to Act 6 after beating Elias? I'm at the Imperial Library checkpoint, but was wrapping up some more Barbarian dungeons and misc side-quests. My armor status is pretty strong, so I can definitely take a hit or two without getting killed right away. My armor is over 4,000 points. That jewel switch really paid off.

I do with you could have actually made choices in the story. I would have joined forces with Lilith.

Played it some more in Veteran Tier II mode and it looks to be just more grinding and miscellaneous side-quests. I may set it aside and start up FFXVI.
