I gave up on it and I'm doing Diablo 2 offline character with cheats instead Loving it so far and am going to play it to the end, probably multiple endings. I don't want to work at not getting killed, I want to grind for 100 hours and then go kill everything if you're not going to give me cheats. I would totally do that. I wish there was a setting to where monsters were a set level and didn't level with you.

I just read that enemies cap out at level 100. May grind a year or two and get to 100 so I can finally start leveling up. Try to stay close to town so that I don't die.


Wait... Max level for your character is 100 also yep I'm out. Off to Diablo 2 and 3.

Just play with a Necro. That way you have minions doing a lot of the work. How are you dying so much? Cheats suck. That’s no way to play. What’s the point?

I think I’d actually pay to watch you play Elden Ring for a few hours.

The monsters, just the regular ones, are just plowing right over me, killing my minions first then me. I mean I've died twice and the first time I went underpowered. But I've had to bail 2-3 times to keep from dying. On places that showed my current level (33 I think).

Leveling up to say around 30, Necro is by far the easiest character....Barb is by far the hardest since you don't get much in terms of offense and defense till later on.....The Necro Minion Builds should be the first choice, as no different here than in D2 or D3 as they do all the work....it's basically Skeletons, a couple of Mages and your Golem...all you have to do is add support via curses, points in Passives that help them and Basic/Core Attacks...I personally like the Blighted Corpse Explosion or Corpse Tendrils added in...

....and for the record, I'm 100% against cheats of any kind in Diablo....it basically ruined D3 leaderboards to the point it's who can out-cheat each other and players with Modded 4 Socket Armor and 3 Sockets Weapons popping in all over the place...it was a disease that ruined a good game...

I never use cheats online, only single player campaigns. I hate multiplayer anyway.

I don't have a golem 5 skeletons and 2 of the other thingies.

Two more levels for a golem if I remember. Maybe respec your guy. Bone spears are good. Tendrils. Make sure the Mages and warriors are strengthened. Corpse explosion is useful.

Yeah so apparently you have to assign your new skills I had the exploding corpses which I love from Diablo III and I knew I had it but I didn't have it with me, so I investigated and I assigned it now along with that reaping wide weapon. Also saw I could get another skeleton for free so now I have five + 3. I'm actually 60% into level 34, going to try to go for 35 to get the Golem. I still get down to 4/6 potions but we'll see.

Ok so I'm level 35 now and I see Golems but how do I make mine come out? I only have 3 mages and 5 skeletons. I want it to come out and play! Just did a hard dungeon and I was down to one life potion I almost bailed, it had killed all my minions and it was coming for me.


Oh I'm so ticked off, I did a random event and I accomplished it but I had like no life potions left and my minion were dead and 3 elites had a lot of life and I bailed without able to get my rewards, I was piiiiiiissed I went to town got my minion and life back went back and everything was gone.

It's been a while since I did necromancer, but I believe if you want the golem, there's a separate golem button you have to put on your skill bar. Having the raise skeleton button isn't enough.

Btw, if you are in a dungeon and almost out of potions, there's no penalty to teleport back to town and talk to the healer to fill up your potions and then teleport back. I'm not sure I'd do it in the middle of a battle, but I've had to do that a time or 2 when I was low, and there were no life cauldrons around. As you've seen though, doing this during random events in the overworld isn't always a great idea.

I'm still confused about post 50 level stuff. It seems like only nightmare sigils are giving me higher level loot, so why should I be doing all the other stuff?

Yeah ok the Golem is a gamechanger I can play this game again You just made me realize I could back into town! That wouldn't give me back minions but still. I was almost done with a dungeon and I got disconnected I'll log in again later and see how much progress I lost. I was powerful, I just had to equip everything. Almost 18 hours in and loving in (for the most part )

The golem has a quest you have to do. To put it on the action bar makes him do something (in my case slam the ground).

Don’t be afraid to die. Sometimes it happens. There’s no penalty other than 10% durability but that’s nothing. Just go back and try again. If your minions die try and raise more. Move around. Use dash to escape enemies after you.

If there’s one change since D3 that I truly hate, it’s that dashing is limited to once every 10 seconds. I get that people spammed it in D3 and it made you close to immortal, but here it’s so limited as to be semi-useless. Strolling casually around when homing fire bolts are on your tail is something I will never get used to or enjoy. My God, Alan Wake appears to be in better shape than my sorceress.

I lost that whole dungeon and couldn't find it again. Tmobile has been horrendous, going to try Verizon, modem here Thursday, then if that doesn't work, Cox. It's just unusable from 6p-10p.

I suggest to check this site which has several that pretty much know their stuff with Diablo in general.....I like their Build Presentation because they explain the skills and passives and how they all work....plus they'll have a 'Leveling & Endgame Guide" for the builds....and in most of these no matter the class, one has to change some skills and passives around for more defense while also looking for more defense stats on gear. I'm finding that out with my Barb (Level 68)....and don't be afraid of experimenting and dying....happens to all.... It’s only 5 seconds I think? I think you’re right though. In D3 you could do it twice in 5-7 seconds IIRC.

You can get +Dash charges on gear ... my partner has 4 dash charges, he's always zipping around.

What's a realistic expectation level-wise to complete the capstone dungeon to move on to world tier 4 for a barbarian?
I'm at level 65, but have been stuck in a rut for a while now because I never get any useable loot any more. Doesn't matter if it is world boss, Legion evens, whisper tree...all I ever get is shit to salvage because nothing is ever as good as the gear I already have equipped. I assume I need to move on to Tier 4 asap to start seeing better stuff.

I think I’m level 46 and I have yet to get to act 2. I just keep exploring and doing side quests. I’m on World Tier 2 I think.

The capstone to go to T4 is a bit of a challenge solo...BUT....I will say once in T4 and start seeing...Ancestral Items...Rares and Legendary...it's no going back. The stats on the Ancestral items are in line or in some cases even better than legensary and thy're right there with your Level. In fact, some just slap a Aspect on one if the stats and attributes are that good. I'm 71 and have already done it a few times. They also sell at higher prices and you will need to sell...alot....as gem upgrades and adding aspects to gear costs a lot....but a lot of power is in the Paragon Tree....need help running it, send me a message...I'll be on somewhere....

I attempted the final boss of Act I the mother when I was level 9 and died and someone told me to be preferably late teens well now I'm like level 38 and the freaking act I is level 38 too
