Again, Diablo was never known to have an “easy” mode. That’s the reason why I’m saying that this is not the right game franchise for you.

Diablo III was the exception not the norm.

I'm saying something different. I'm saying they shouldn't change whatever difficulty the game started with when it was released, because you made your choice to buy it based on that difficulty level. Optional, sure, but not random.

I pretty much gave up on my season character and am just playing Helltides and the world bosses.

Respec-ing is such a slong that I just won't do it.
the grind from 50+ is unbearable
Dungeons are boring in a way that rifts never were. Tilesets are WAY too repetitive.
Getting back to town and having to go through inventory is such an ordeal, double so when playing couch co-op
The season mechanic is complete dogshit.

I have no desire to play a game I've been jonesing for for 10 years. We're so desperate from Couch CoOP ARPGs on the PS5 my partner is forcing me to keep playing

As I've told others who have basically complained and ripped D4 from day one, you can still go back to D2 and D3...they're still playable...there's PoE, Grim Dawn (on XBox), Warhammer; Inquisitor for that style gameplay. But as I've also noted, there's been Knives Out for D4 since the betas period and will stay out no matter what changes, updates, patches.....because a lot of players and critics basically wanted a Upgraded, Updated D3 Version. I saw the same comments during the Beta; world boring, dungeons boring, classes boring blah, blah, blah...then suggest go back to D2 and D3 and it was silence...

I wish they'd do an offline mode you could use cheats on.

But at least don't make it harder, I don't think games should have their difficulty upped after they're bought.
I admit for solo it can get tough especially early on, with certain classes and builds but with the Tier System one can choose what difficulty during play and as they level up change it. It's wider steps vs the Torment System in D3 with smaller increments.....and of course getting the right gear but you do have the choices there to change one aspect that can help. Understanding the "Damage Buckets" are key along with Damage Reduction is also vital...we have a friend in our group that's always dying and he gets upset and doesn't understand...his Resistance, Armor, Life, Damage Reduction Perks are almost non-existence; he kept putting points and trying to add more damage here and there....higher you, the more important those matter and striking a balance...as it's know; "You Can't Deal Damage If You Are Dead"...

As to 'Gopd Modes"...cheating online or offline...to each their own but to me they ruin the game and experience along with not really accomplishing anything except to showoff and brag...but when going back to reality of playing legit, it's a safe bet that frustration will still be there...I just can never understand the lure of cheating & modding (to cheat)...there's zero skill and a Child of Five can do it...

"If you aren't enjoying this game you've been salivating to play for 5+ years, just go back to that game you've already been playing for 10+ years" isn't that great of an argument. In my view, D3 is the standard, and D4 failed to live up to that standard in so many metrics. It's OK to admit that they dropped the ball significantly, but also I understand people enjoy things I don't, and I'm super fine with that. None of those games you mentioned have couch co-op (with exception of Inquisitor, but you don't actually get to keep the second character, he's just going on for the ride, so that game doesn't count). D4 is literally the LAST BIG HOPE for couch co-op on ps5. And they fucked it up. So yeah, a lot of us are disappointed. I'll still play it, sure, but I'll be keeping my playtime to when I'm high as fuck and my partner is forcing me to. And yeah, I probably will go back to playing D3. I imagine after D4 it will be like sliding into a nice cozy pair of slippers

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

God mode sucks. Cheats are fun to mess around with before you reload and play right (I’m looking at you GTA) but otherwise it’s not the way the game is meant to be played. If I’m frustrated with a game, I’ll get better. Or put it on story mode. Or just stop playing it (only happened once or twice in my life).

But let me tell you that I recently jumped up to WT4 in Diablo and it’s tough. But I’ll be damned if it’s not fun and exciting knowing that every battle could kill you. The rewards are worth it. It’s a rush.

Lol! There are some things that I hate about Diablo 4 but calling the game “f-ed” and broken is not it.

Or calling D3 better. It’s not.

I think that's pretty subjective. I played the last season of D3 WAY longer than this first season of D4.

Re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC - 6/5/23

Playing BG3 right now. G-d mode, unlimited movement, dice roll always max, items don't decrease. Put in 3 hours in 2 days. Although due to just life that's gonna go down. But I'm loving that game, and I can assure you it's going to be played and played through 10x+ more than D4. Why can't I have a game with a single player campaign that I can play my way? Why can't they have D4 have an offline mode like it was either D2 or D3 or both where you can't take that character online? Let me play the game the way I want it and like it.

So my original argument is valid that Diablo 4 is not for you…

But I like EVERYTHING about Diablo IV except the difficulty, I WANT to play it, but I can't get through it.

That’s because is not conducive to how you play a game. You have to play it legit by putting a lot of hours by yourself or a group, leveling up and finding good gear.

No cheat code for you (at least in this game).

Ugh. Such a waste. Did you even try before you made yourself invincible? If every roll is a crit what’s the point?

And D4 has easy mode too. I’m not sure why she’s yammering on about cheats not being available.

GatorDeb mentioned earlier in the thread that T1 was still hard and their character was dying often. This is the reason why they are asking for God/Cheat mode

25% XP and Gold boost this weekend. They're calling it Mother's Blessing. That sounds better than please don't abandon us for Starfield.

I abandoned it when they nerfed the characters and buffed the enemies but I may play some this weekend.

A few of us are even thinking trying a Hardcore Character but then again the five days with XP Boost would come in handy for the Season...One friend is 92, I'm at 88, another is 74 and one is at 70. It's been a bit of up and downs but overall been fun...but taken awhile and still some things could be tweaked...like the cost of re-rolling gear...it's a lot at our level. Next season there more ....positive patches...in quality-of-life parts and still some questions on it; like we were talking about in the video trailer, other classes like a Druid, Rogue, Sorc get converted to a Vampire so are we going to fight them?...be interesting....

It’s really not that hard. I play a necro on WT4 with all minions and golem sacrificed and I can cut through enemies like butter.

Just did a tier 49 nightmare dungeon.

Amen...It's been a struggle with my Sorc this season trying to find the right build.....I started out with a Firewall that worked to an extent but Fire is a DOT, much like Barb's Bleed but I couldn't find another Damage type to help. So I re-did build and tree for Chain Lighting that felt like all I was doing was tingling enemies...then reworked again for a Ball Lighting Build.....it worked to an extent and mechanics were in place but again lacking real damage....so now I'm back with Chain Lighting and feel I found the sweet spot still needing to find certain gear pcs with certain stats....

I guess the moral story here is, I've seen way too many on YouTube Comments to Forums basically throw in the towel, throw a temper-tantrum, get pissed because of a few nerfs...But we saw them plenty in D3 over the years and what did players do, reworked, redid, tried out different builds or classes...didn't stop anyone. In my case I literally found 1-3 YouTubers on Diablo that knows their stuff when they explain the mechanics of how everything works together. I looked at every pc of gear, stats they used and aspects and saw what I was missing......Before reworks I wasn't getting but 10k-15K Damage Ticks at around Level 67.....I'm at 88 now and have seen numbers from 22K to as high as 1.5 Million...generally the avg is between 25K to 120K....one can get better if they want to actually learn and change...instead they want the GAME TO CHANGE around them....

If I die it’s usually because I got stunned or frozen or let poison explode on me or something dumb. It rarely happens. I tried a higher level nightmare dungeon (tier 50 something) and couldn’t quite finish it.

But other than that it’s been a breeze. I mean I use potions and keep an eye on my health so it’s not a total walk in the park but it’s definitely not hard.

We talked some last night and still unsure how to use the Bonus:....on Mains when we started out since we didn't hit 100....use on Seasonal which would help, I'm sitting at 88...or try Hardcore which is 50/50....oh, by the way we need to sendyou a invite to join our Group Chat. And three of us were running ND's last week and one mentioned that they see you on doing T3 stuff but mainly solo. Anytime you see me on or someone in the Clan...Kanjji, Lumpy, Me....send a request to join or ask for some help...like if you need to unlock T4....more than happy...we sort of have a motto...No One Left Behind....

Yea, with us those pits that shoots out Fireballs are the pain....what's worse; getting stunned or frozen in or near one of those Fireball Pits. At higher ND's that can almost one-shot.....and if you're on and need company to run ND's can hollar at me or others; that's what I'm running along with finishing one area to get the Four Paragon Points. Since I re-did my build some of the Glyphs I invested in early don't match or work so having to run ND's to level them up...and ususally 2-3 I play with are on Eastern Time...I'm central...and they leave early. So I just piddle around doing Legion, Whispers, Side Quests, etc...

I've just pretty much been doing world boss and Helltides to level up. I was going to try the capstone dungeon to get to tier 4 this weekend with the XP boost, I'll let you guys know if I need any help.

I have a bunch of Tier 1 nightmare dungeons to do and I didn't realize the bosses and everything in there top out at lvl 54 so I can kill a Tomb Lord in about 15 seconds in there now

Yea...hollar on that Capstone...we all chipped in and helped each other getting that done to where at least it's open at any time you feel like jumping in...but it was tough at 60 up to around 65...but you really need to run T4 for the Ancestral Stuff since Sacred stops at Level 60 which is still good to a point but getting gear at your level vs lower is far better. Plus the XP boost in T4 from t3 is better....I'll be on later tonight and either a bit in the mornings but far sure at night..
