I hope Blizz gets a lot of feedback like this and changes something. I don't know what, but damn ... maybe we need more people per server shard or something? Considering this is the server slam, I saw VERY few other people running around in the overworld this weekend.

*edit*
Well tried again, and only 10 people showed up that time. Gave up, complete lost cause. Bummer.

re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC -6/5/23

Looking forward to game day release and still wondering about which class, what type of build....below are two links to .....The Skill Trees....so you can at least take a look, maybe plan a bit on what to aim for. I'm sure and in fact already have seen ..."D4 Build for______" sites and videos. One site below has with Gear Slots in account which is pretty cool....

Diablo 4 Skill Tree Calculator · D4 Builds

Barbarian Diablo 4 Character Skill Tree Calculator & Build Planner (d4planner.io)

I wanted to add this video from Rhykker from yesterday that really goes into the details of the buffs & nerfs...changes made after the first Betas.....for each class. A worth look since it comapres the before and after. There's a lot in there I didn't know about....

re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC -6/5/23

I was busy on Friday so I did most of my playing on Saturday. I played the Necromancer up to Level 20 and the character has been nerfed a bit compared to the first Beta. However, once you start adding the skeleton mastery to the warriors and sage, they are not as soft anymore. It’s too bad I couldn’t test out the Golem though.

Today I played the Rogue and got the character to Level 13. I did Asheava at 12pm EST and our group managed to defeat it. It was only 12-14 of us. I might use the Rogue for the Hardcore playthrough but it’s really soft early on so I’m not sure. The character gets better after Level 10.

June 1st can’t come soon enough!

Never been remotely interested in Diablo before, but I played the last hour of the server slam this weekend and was having a lot of fun with it and find myself jonesing to play it again. Guess I'll be getting it.

I know of several getting the game and we've talked about starting a Clan.....my gut feeling is, starting out solo (if you go veteran), one will struggle early on until you can unlock more skills later say around 15. And though doable, I'd suggest running dungeons with a coop buddy. D4 is just going to be way different than D3 which was a insane Loot Fest and didn't take much effort to get solid gear for your characters....this past weeks Beta showed me what I think is how loot drops are as I got far fewer Rares, zero Legendary...and in fact very few Rares that were made for my character. As when I was a Necromancer I kept getting Rares with "Dexterity"...which is for Rogue....I've already seen boards and comments in YouTube Videos of complainers crying there character is "Not OP and Like it was in D3".....

Good Video from Blizz Devs on the Lore of Sanctuary and what it is....

Commentary on the Updates & Changes after Weekend beta...

Any idea if the PS5 server slam install will work for the actual game install when it comes out? Or should I just go ahead and delete it?

Just delete it. Nothing will carry over except some ornament if you were able to defeat the World Boss Ashava.

re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC -6/5/23

The Paragon Board will open after hitting Level 50 and not much has been out there explain and showing it...this will be a huge part of how one wants their character to go and be. A pretty decent video below showing some of it and how it works. This is a huge, huge change from Diablo III version. It's far above the amount of possibilities one will have to fine tune their characters....

I hate reading about this game because I'm going to play it, going to get stuck on the second boss, and never be able to play the season pass or more than four hours in the game

After the game eleases I have no doubt several here and elsewhere will be more that open and welcome to having "Welcome to Hell Buddy"...I still say early on for a majority especially those like me who plan on veteran, it's going to be a slight challenge. ...which is why we've talked about getting a Clan up...some on this board I have on my friends list and several aren't but they all are getting D4....which will have cross-play. This game while solo can be fun, it's far better with 2-4 especially with Dungeons...not to mention you can drop items you might not need for someone else.

And speaking of items, I will probably run two characters early on for that reason. While playing Necro in the Beta, for some reason I kept getting Gear with Dexterity...which is the trait for The Rogue...it was the same with Barb who needs items with Strength I kept getting others...so either can sell or drop for someone running a character that needs it...hence another benefit for a Clan....

For those who not only don't know which class but which tier to start on....this is a pretty good video on pros and cons of each.....

Same person, Wudijo....has a great video on The Blacksmith. He is one I view as one of those...Diablo Numbers Wiz....who peels apart line-by-line of any and every part looking at numbers & percentages.....Everyone was focused on Core Skill Numbers...people like him look at the entire picture of Gear, Paragon, Core Skills and now The Blacksmith....a lot of players have hit the panic button on Nerfs; players like him brush it off and find other ways...these are the ones who clear 150 Level Rifts in D3 without breaking a sweat....

If someone finds a good "Diablo IV Season Pass Explanation For Dummies" video, can you post it here? I'm still kind of confused as to whether I want one, if I can get to it in time, is it worth the Level 20 boost if I buy it, etc.

I can explain it to you. Takes about 80 hours to go 80 tiers and you have 3 months to do it. The paid is ALL cosmetic. It just saves you about 20 hours time. And each tier is the same in difficulty it's just a time crunch.

You need to have completed the campaign to even be able to do the season. It's about 35 hours.

So the skip doesn't unlock all the goodies in the Season Pass, just a quarter of it? And the rewards aren't better equipment, just basically skins?
And does the Season Pass included in the Deluxe Edition just apply to the first season, or is it any one season?

re: DIABLO IV: Xbox Consoles, PS Consoles & PC -6/5/23

I feel like if I buy a season pass (at least the ones with DLC) it always goes unused. Far Cry 4 I didn’t play a single part of the DLC. Same with Metro Exodus. Also with Borderlands 3 (although I still have to finish the main campaign). Ironically I didn’t buy the season pass for Midnight Suns and still bought the Deadpool pack. Go figure.

Thanks GatorDeb!

@Decker,
FYI, the first season doesn't start until July (most likely mid-month) so you'll have time to first complete the campaign. And I think you have to complete the campaign before the season pass is even available. The tier skips are included in the Premium version of the pass which on it's own costs $24.99. So, you're "saving" $14.99 if you get the Ultimate Edition, assuming you find value with the tier skips. Blizzard also confirmed that players will get a special cosmetic (not the Wings of Creator emote as that is part of the Ultimate Edition) with the Premium Pass and tier skips can be saved for future seasons (
).
