I believe they match competitors coupons, but I'm not positive.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

Quick question... Can we still get a steelbook for free w/ purchase of UP from Best Buy if we didn't pre-order it? My Best Buy has quite a few...

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

After being denied my requests to have the $8 off MI coupon and the DSNEYBD coupon applied to my order at Amazon, I just sent them an e-mail laying my cards out on the table. I politely asked them if they would issue a refund for $10 for the Up coupon. They most likely would reject this request like they did the others, but I told them about the Target deal and that I would be compelled to return the order if they refused to accept this coupon. Hopefully they will issue a refund because I don't feel like jumping through the hoops at Target today.

Price Matching BestBuy.com Purchases with Our Stores
Our price matching policy also ensures you pay the lowest price for a product available at both BestBuy.com and Best Buy stores. (Best Buy stores in Puerto Rico do not price match BestBuy.com prices.) Price adjustments can be made both before and after purchase, according to these conditions:

Exclusions: The Price Match Guarantee does not apply to our or our competitors' free offers, limited-quantity items, items for sale November 28th & 29th, 2008, open-box items, clearance items, Outlet Center items, mail-in offers, financing, bundle offers or pricing errors.
That's the closest thing I can find in their policy that says they may not take it.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

I am going to order up and Monsters from BB website at $38.98 plus tax and when I go pick up, I will give them the manufacturer's coupons for monster and up totaling $18 ($10 plus $8 coupon )bringing my final to $23.71 tax included. $12 a movie from Pixar is not too shabby. No pricematch needed here.

GAH!

I don't know if I should hit Target first and try to PM Best Buy as much as I can and then go to Best Buy and get my $7.50 back, or just go to Best Buy and pay the few extra dollars.

Yes, Bestbuy.com still have the free steel book. Just add both to the cart and the steel book is free. Choose in store pick up to save shipping.

One question for the price match in Target. Do you do it in the customer service dept? I just bring both movies and the ad there to do the price match and pay right there right? Sorry for this dumb question, I never do a price match in Target before.

Thanks,

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

Yesterday when I said my order shipped, I sorta jumped the gun. I came to that conclusion just because I noticed the pending charge on my card.

I got the official "shipped" email today though.

Ask them to apply the Up coupon. You should be receiving a check in the mail for $9.54 in the next 6 to 8 weeks.

When I saw that the Up coupon was real this morning I was actually tempted to send one single email just to see what they would say, but I think I'm done pushing my luck.

Nope, when added to your cart, the steelbook is priced out at $14.99, with the Blu Ray at $19.99. The Steelbook is no longer free online.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

Keep your eyes open for $10 manufacturer coupons on the Monsters Inc packages if you buy both at Target. I didn't see them on the packages at Best Buy. They accepted them as well as the other coupons and, in fact, alerted me to them on there. I wasn't going to even try with all of the other coupons. For some reason, one coupon wouldn't be accepted - the register complained - but others were okay.

BTW, that Target (Hagerstown MD) only had one copy of Monsters Inc left out on the shelf when I left. Maybe they had more, but they had way more copies of Up.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

so i went to best buy today.

$18.99 UP +18.99 Monsters Inc = $37.98 - $10 UP coupon - $8 Monsters Inc Coupon - $10 GC from Modern Warfare 2 =

$9.98 for both movies

and they threw in the steel book case for UP because they were "throwing them out"

TY disney for making bluray purchases so much more affordable haha

You can try using many, many emails until you get lucky.

This morning my final total is $6.48

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

Guess I'm the only one that couldn't make this work.

I went to Best Buy with a printout of the Online $19.99 price for Up. I showed it to the girl at Customer Service and she said she couldn't modify the price. I explained to her she could and she did, reluctantly.

When I told her Monsters, Inc. should then ring up at $18.99 and showed her the in-store ad, she rang it up and it didn't work. I explained to her that when you buy Up Monsters, Inc. is reduced by $10 thus making it $18.99. She didn't believe this and instead told me that what it did was make Up $18.99 and Monsters, Inc. $23.99. Obviously it is the same price, but the logic she used in reaching that conclusion given that the ad says "Buy Up and get Monsters, Inc. for $10 cheaper" blows my mind.

So when she finally called a manager over and the manager said, "Yes. He is right. Adjust the price," I am already feeling very frustrated. This is THIRTY minutes I've been standing at Customer Service. I show her the coupons and tell her they are Manufacturer Coupons and there will be no problem, she reads the fine print and says "They can't be used in conjunction with any other offer. This thing in the ad is an offer so it won't work." I politely say forget the whole thing then and leave the store.

I'm going to go back in a few days and see if I can't get a cashier that usually has no problem applying price matches, offers, and coupons. Needless to say I am very frustrated and angry that I spent 30 minutes there for nothing. And to boot, it seems I'm the only one to run into this problem. What makes matters worse is I used the Snow White + Disney Blu-ray + $15 Giftcard Offer AND the manufacturer's coupon just a few weeks back.

Just go into the store and buy it. They will not be able to make any changes, price reductions, price matches, etc on your order you made on their website. Just go into the store and get both of them and apply all your coupons to it then.

Amazon originally had Nov 16 as shipping date but received shipment notification last night. Not bad.

Exact same thing happened to me - right after I emailed them asking to cancel my order. I'm still returning it, I prefer on using the coupons we can use at Target.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

HELP.

Can someone explain to me the SNOWHITETHANKS promotion? I'm on the phone right now with Amazon CS leader and they claim that the promotion was for customers who had bought the Platinum edition from 2001:

http://www.amazon.com/White-Dwarfs-D...7870130&sr=8-4

Is there any documentation anywhere that says who this promotion should apply to? I did indeed order SW Blu-ray DVD combo pack from them and they claim I'm not eligible for the discount.

They also refused to apply any other coupons.

The way I understood it it was for those who ordered Snow White blu-ray/DVD combo or DVD/blu-ray combo pack from Amazon when it was released about a month ago.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)

Great. The one morning my printer decides to break down is this morning while trying to print all the coupons.

Headed to work early to print them all out. There's both a Target and Best Buy near my office; so I'll probably venture there on my lunch break unless someone has success using the coupons at Fry's. Then I'll journey there.
