Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)
Target wouldn't let me pricematch the combo because the manager considered the Target exclusive version of UP with the stupid book a different product than what everyone else carries - which I'm sure is what Target had in mind all along with that. I'll have to hit Fry's during lunch.

Just grabbed them from Target. Up did scan at $19.99 for me. So with coupons and all I walked out with both and Up journal for $20.55 including tax. No $10 sticker coupon or I would have tried for that as well. Only a couple of copies left of Monster's Inc at the location I went to.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)
I go because it's the closest Fry's to me. I accept that Fry's has horrible customer service.
BTW, they had the price for Monsters, Inc. posted as $27.99. When I pointed out to them that the price listed in the OCRegister ad was $23.77, they tried to tell me that the Orange County prices don't apply to their store. I pretty much said, "The OC ad includes Manhattan Beach on its list of stores." And their reply was "No, that's not the case." But one nice associate doublechecked the price in the computer and was like..."You're right...they must have printed the wrong price."

I really wish we did have a closer Frys, the closest one after this is either Burbank or OC.

Well, now that I'm reading about everyone having problems getting Fry's to take the mfr coupons, I may just go back and take Target's combo deal without a pricematch. Guess they showed me.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)
If you have a SUPER generous cashier at Target, then you might get them to take that one along with the others (as a few lucky souls have), but technically it is against their policy to do so....Target allows one manufacturers coupon to be used along with one Target coupon per item...that is why you can stack the Target $10 off coupon for buying both with both Disney $8 and $10 off coupons....the Disney $10 off for buying both would then be an additional manufacturers coupon, which would then be more than one of those per item (which is why the computer raised a red flag for Murmur).....

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)
Just got back from Target, I can't believe this deal got even better, but:
Got the coupon stuck to Monsters Inc. for $10 off if you buy both. Plus, they wouldn't let me match the Best Buy online price of $19.99 for Up, so I thought I would only get the pricematch for the Best Buy store price of $23.99. But then he scanned Up and it rang up at $19.99 anyway!
So, $19.99 for Up Blu-ray, $18.99 for Monsters Inc. Blu-ray (pricematch of Best Buy's ad price), -$10 Target web coupon, -$10 coupon stuck to the Monsters Inc. box, -$10 Disney coupon for Up, -$8 Disney coupon for Monsters Inc.
Grand total, with tax: $3.30
(Note: When he scanned the fourth coupon, the register beeped at him, and he looked at it and said "Too Many Coupons". So I was all ready for him to say they couldn't accept one of them, and I wouldn't have argued about it, but he just hit a button and said "$3.30". I swiped my card as fast as I could, grabbed my receipt, and hightailed it out of there!)
Deal of the year, good luck everyone!
I'm so glad I cancelled my Amazon order!!

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)
Just went to Target.
Up rings up as $19.99( but is marked $26.99 on the shelf), Monsters Inc. rings up as $26.99. I couldn't price-match because they wouldn't take my printed ad, they want the paper ad but I don't get that and BB is too far to pick one up. I hand her all my coupons, and the only one that doesn't work is the $8 off Monsters, the register doesn't except it. That's ok because Monster had a $10 off coupon attached to it and the register took that one.
Up $19.99
Monsters Inc. 26.99
-$10 Off Up Disney Coupon
-$10 Off Monsters Inc on package coupon
-$10 Off Target by both coupon
16.98
+ 2.96 tax
19.94 is fine with me.

My Target has Monster's Inc in a security case so the slip cover is not on it. I asked the cashier about it and he said they didn't have it anywhere...

Target has pulled that crap before - no slipcovers on their BDs - which, to me, is another reason not to buy there. (Yeah, I'm a purist!)

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)
Wow! Great deals from Target. Of course it's YMMV.
I wasn't that lucky, but I can confirm, again, that Up is $19.99 the one with the journal. In my case they only accepted two coupons, but that was in a normal cash register. So, I guess for the ones who hasn't bough the movies the lesson is to go to Customer Service.
Oh, and yeah, I got the last copy of Monsters BD.

Well, swung by Target at lunch. They had one UP! Blu-ray left and were already out of Monsters, Inc (rep said they only received TWO!).
... thought about swinging by another Target, but wasn't worth the time and gas, considering my Amazon order already shipped.

Well I went shipping soon with my $15 Amazon order. I hadn't planned to write any more emails even though the last one had this odd instruction.
If the Disney*Pixar says that coupon can be redeemed in Amazon, write back to us and we'll apply the promotion for you.
So I just wrote and told them Target was accepting it in store. Maybe I'll get an $8 credit or something.

Yeah, that's what I did all right. I should have bought them in the first place, not realizing UP was 19.99 at Target. Good thing Monsters Inc was still in a cart at customer service to be reshelved because it was the last copy in the store.

I got the same response. I wonder if sending an email back asking how I return my order would prompt a better response.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)
I went to Target to PM Monsters Inc with the Best Buy ad in hand. I had all 3 coupons as well. After 30 minutes of bustling around trying to find their Price Match guide, I was denied the PM saying they couldn't match Monsters Inc since it was a combo deal, and Up since they were offering the book.
But... I took my sets over to the regular checkout lines, nabbed some gum. Handed the cashier the 3 printed coupons followed by the sticker coupon. The computer took all 4 coupons. 11.57 for both out the door.

My total came to $11.94 after the slew of coupons I had and used at Target.
![Smilie](/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Just went back to Best Buy tomorrow to get my $8.10 deposit back and my total overall is $3.84 for these two 4 disc sets!!! Amazing!!!
EDIT: My Target also rang up Up! for $19.99 without having me needing to price match.

Re: Up and Monsters, Inc. deals (Part 2)
Ended up getting them at Best Buy for ~$21 before tax, no hassle at all. Could have tried at Target, but I had a $20 GC at Best Buy, so that works for me.
Now, my Amazon order at $32.98...they will be delivered by UPS later today - can I just tell the UPS guy to take it back? Or what's the easiest way to return them to Amazon?
