But I think any of you thinking poorly of any of us using or trying to use multiple coupons need to relax a bit.
I'm not trying to accuse people of being thieves. But I also don't think Disney intended on people buying these Toy Story Blu-rays for $1.99.

I was only able to use the 10 dollar one at Target today. Still for 8 bucks a movie and the free movie ticked a heck of a deal.

Disney continues to impress me with the coupons they offer. The only studio I feel that really pushes the format to double dip on all these titles due to the tremendous pricing that we receive. These turn out to be basically free with the movie cash. Incredible value. I have so many disney movies in my collection due to the deals that they offer. I do not double dip unless I get them cheap and Disney allows me to do that.

If Disney/Pixar didn't want this to happen, they would not have provided so many possibilities - $5, $8, $10, individual store promos, etc. They are doing a slick marketing campaign here - allbeit a little expensive one on the front-side - all for their upcoming release of TS3 (in 3D I thought?). Hell, if you worked all of the coupons & promos right, you could walk out of the store with snacks to boot - w/out paying hardly anything.

I for one am all for this deal - no matter how people work it.

I happened to miss the $5 PatF coupon, so I ended up paying $4.99 for it on Sunday (missed the sale price also - so that cost me $3 as well).

You only mentioned the $1.99 price @ TRU - what about the possibility of $-0- @ Fry's? That's even pushing the deal further. I say possibility because of their promo price of $14.97 for each when purchasing 2. The $5 & $10 coupons would put that result in the negative, throw in the $8 one(x2) & you have enough for another BR.

Well then they shouldn't have released all those coupons. I had $40 in different coupons, and they just gave me another $20 off on top of it. Oh well, good for me, I got 3 Blu-rays for cheap.

This place is for bargain hunters - I doubt if you're going to get far whining about legitimate, albeit overly-persistent, ways to get the best deal.

When I presented my receipt I was given the first 2 copies at the top of the pile which luckily were on blu-ray box. So I dunno if they specifically reserve blu-ray boxes or not. But either way they seem to carry only a handful of those.
Just got home and noticed that I got the DVD of TS1...arghhhh. Guess I'm making a trip back tomorrow. Anyhow, TS1+TS2=$10(reserve)+2.40(today, got an extra $5 so only had to pay tax)=$12.40/$6.20ea. Not a bad deal.

I went to TRU, then Target (Bloomingdale, IL) and neither had the Blu-ray version. TRU had a few DVD versions, and I know they are really the same thing, but it's the principle of the thing. The manager was really nice and said they'd get more in tomorrow morning. I'm hoping to get a break in between jobs tomorrow when I can stop and pick these up. Hopefully, by then they will not have received a memo from corporate that they are not to accept more than one coupon per disc or something like that.

I agree, besides, they won't look right next to each other.

I thought it was odd when they rolled out the $10 upgrade coupons after they had promoted the $8 upgrade coupons. I wonder if different departments are at work on this back at HQ.

However, I was happy they did, as I sold off my SE DVD sets last month in anticipation of the Blu-rays, leaving me sans UPC'S.

Did anybody have any luck at Best Buy? I went there because I had a gift card and I got very excited as she started scanning all four coupons without question, but their system would not take them.

She then asked another cashier about it and that cashier said that they've gotten a few people trying to use the coupons throughout the day and all were rejected by their system. I wonder if Best Buy caught wind of the coupons early and worked it out so they are automatically rejected.

Coupons seem to never scan at Best Buy. They always input them manually for me. Didn't try today, as Target and TRU were much better options due to the lower prices at both and exclusives at Target.

I'm definitely clipping the Proof of Purchase tabs for my Finding Nemo and The Incredibles before selling them. Oh, and Beauty and the Beast and Tron too.

Is it because you're trying to use too many coupons? I had no trouble at 4 pm using the two $10 off Upgrade Coupons from Disney. System took them without question. It cost me $20 out the door for both Blu-Ray + DVD sets + 2 movie tickets. I figured that was good enough for this deal, to not have to deal with manager overrides, etc.

My store was also out of Blu-ray combo versions, but today was the only day I could get in ... so I purchased the DVD combo versions for $5.xx (after preorder and $10 coupons).

I did ask customer service if I could exchange the DVD versions for the Blu-ray versions when they were available, and they said sure, as long as I did not open them yet and I kept my receipt.

Re: Save $10.00 off Toy Story & Toy Story 2 Blu-rays when you upgrade from DVD or VHS

I have a question I haven't seen addressed. Disney (via the coupon printer software) allows a person to print 2 coupons per title (each with a unique code). I take that as meaning Disney is OK with a person buying TS 1 & 2 for himself and another TS 1 & 2 for a friend/family member using the 2 pairs of coupons they allow you to print. Is that correct?

I just want to make sure because theoretically Disney might be able to track coupons back to your Disney Rewards account from which the coupons were printed given that each coupon has your unique machine ID printed into it, and I wouldn't want them getting mad or denying future coupons because you used both coupons they allow you to print.

3 Targets and 1 TRU were all sold out of the bluray packaging by the time I went there today (Around 6). 2 of the targets had copies of Toy Story 2 in bluray packaging but not 1. Oh well. I have the rest of the week to try and find them.

I also had a problem at my Target. They had the Blu packaging of TS1 and the DVD packaging of TS2. They said that was all they got in today.

Heh. I have the last post in that thread. I remember thinking I got a good deal on the DVD. What a sucker I was.....

I paid a total of about $12 for TS, TS2 and Cars on BD.

I'm hoping for a similar scenario this winter with TS3 and if they're released, Finding Nemo and The Incredibles.

I saw that someone had gotten the blu rays for 14.95 each at Walmart... my Walmart has them for 24.95, did they lower the prices?

Don't think so, as the first coupon the cashier scanned came up as invalid. I just eventually went the same route and went to Target. They would only take the $10 off coupons but I figured 2 Blu-Rays + 2 movie tickets for $20 was good enough for me. Plus, I'm selling my Ultimate Toy Box set so that will offset the cost and make these pretty much free.

Watch the extras one last time maybe. Many of them are not on the BDs.

You do realize that disney has info telling j6p about the 10.00 rebate coupons plastered all over the place, even on the disney movie reward face book page. in fact i would say the coupons for these ones are being pushed more than any of the past coupons.

Relatively common knowledge that Walmarts have regional pricing, so one walmart could be priced differently from another only a few miles away.

Yeah, I know but thanks for the heads up. I've watched them once before and haven't felt the need to revisit them. I very rarely watch extra features more than once and anymore hardly have time for the movie.

After striking out at TRU I just went to Best Buy, sure they were $3 more but still a killer deal with the coupons. Unless they had more somewhere in the store there were just a few left.

Imagine if Disney had just done the Blu-Ray case versions for these... so much easier.
