Re: Save $10.00 off Toy Story & Toy Story 2 Blu-rays when you upgrade from DVD or VHS

I can't get any of these coupons to print. I am trying to print the $10.00 coupons for each one using the UPC codes, which I do actually own both The Ultimate Toy Box and each of the 2-Disc DVD re-releases. I got the DMR site to accept the codes for the 2-Disc Editions, but, when I go to print them, it won't allow me to, because the SonicWall software says it is adware and won't allow it. This is at work, and I can't get around it. I asked my Sister if I could use her printer, but, her computer is not working. I asked a friend if I could use his printer, but, the black ink is out, so, it won't allow him to print, even though he has color ink. So, needless to say, I was wondering if there was a way someone could actually post the $10.00 coupons for each one in a format that I could just print at work without having to go through the actual site? If anyone can do that, I would be extremely grateful!

Just spent waaaaay too long fighting with the web site/browser/printer trying to get these Disney coupons to print. I finally got them to print with Safari rather than Firefox.

They are individually coded and can only be used once.

Although I guess if someone here doesn't plan to use them and figures out a way to print to file or create a pdf they could help.

Crap! I didn't think about that. Well, I guess I would be eternally grateful to someone who isn't planning on using them, if they would scan them so that I can use them. If not, I guess I am destined to pay retail for these two. Ironically, two of my MOST wanted Blu-Ray's, since the format was first announced!

Doh! Yeah, I forgot about that newfangled scanner technology.

You sure you don't have any other printer access? Sister's printer on your computer? Or your friends?

The main Target I go to had TS1 in a blu case, but TS2 in a dvd case. When I asked if they had more behind the electronic counter (since there wasn't a single copy of either TS movie on the shelf all behind that area) they kept telling me it was the same and thought I was crazy I wanted the cases to match. Thankfully we have a ton of Targets here and I could exchange the dvd case I bought for the blu case.

Well, I guess I could take my laptop over to my Sister's, and user her printer. Although, she did say the computer has a virus. That won't get onto my laptop, by using her printer, would it? My friend would let me use his computer and printer, but, his black ink is out, and apparently it won't print, even though he still has color ink. However, if someone can scan their coupons, if they aren't planning to use them, let me know.

No, you can't catch a virus from a printer.

Just use her printer on your laptop, or your friend's computer.

I ran into this twice! Once at TRU and once at Target. When I was at TRU I asked for the blu-rays (that were sold out), and the clerk said, "they're the same thing".

Then at Target it was hard to get the clerk to even ADMIT there WAS such a thing as a "blu-ray version" of Toy Story 2. I literally had to show him the difference in case sizes with my TS1. Then he went on to explain that the dvd version is all they carry. I said, "you mean you sold out of the blu-ray version" and he reluctantly said, "yeah." Im pretty sure he thought I was crazy for insisting.

Yeah, this is a commonly reported problem. On the one hand, I don't think it's a major issue that an employee in an electronics department at a big retail chain would be oblivious to something like differences in cases. On the other hand, I do think it's a sign that employees aren't being made to be as aware of the products they sell as they should. It becomes frustrating when we, the consumer, are well-informed and they, the uninformed employee, find ourselves arguing. In a perfect world, the people behind the counter would be kept abreast as well as those of us seeking the transaction.

Also, I'd love to know just what was up with Toy Story 2 in such apparently very short supply in the Blu-ray case. It seems everyone could find both movies in DVD cases, but only the first movie in a Blu-ray case. The woman stocking at Walmart when we went to get ours didn't understand the difference until I showed her the different SKU tags for the two different case versions of Toy Story. When I made it clear that I was only interested in buying them in Blu-ray cases, she looked and couldn't even find a SKU tag on the shelf for Toy Story 2 in a Blu-ray case.

My Target only had the DVD cases out. I asked the electronics clerk and she said they checked with someone and this is the only one they got in (for TS1 and TS2). So I bought them. Had to go back to the store later that day, and lo and behold, they had plenty of both DVD and Blu-ray cases out. Not worth the hassle to make yet a third trip to the store.

Re: Save $10.00 off Toy Story & Toy Story 2 Blu-rays when you upgrade from DVD or VHS

I went to my West Huntsville Target yesterday afternoon. All they had was the DVD version of TS2. Didn't want to waste time going to TRU.

Best Buy had a fair number of each, so I got the BR versions of TS1 and TS2. The cashier manually rang up the two $10 coupons, and I decided not to hassle with trying to use the two $5 coupons.

So I got both movies at $10 each (plus tax), plus movie cash to see TS3.

Good deal, thanks to all for posting the info and the details on the various stores. Maybe next time I'll do the TRU pre-order thing.

Thanks again,
David

I struck out at 2 Targets and 1 TRU. TRU had no BD copies at all and Target only had TS1 in blu and TS2 in DVD. I guess I'll try and go back later this week to see if they get more in.

Re: Save $10.00 off Toy Story & Toy Story 2 Blu-rays when you upgrade from DVD or VHS

I visited the Toys 'R Us in Downers Grove yesterday with both sets of coupons in hand. After grabbing TS1 blu ray (in BR case) and TS2 blu ray (in DVD case) I proceeded to the cashier. I also grabbed 2 candy bars so at least I had 4 items for my 4 coupons. Amazingly, the cashier was more interested in signing me up for the Rewards card rather than how many coupons I had. So here's what I ended up paying (less the candy):
TS1 $21.99
TS2 $21.99
less ($10.00) bundle discount
less ($10.00) upgrade coupon
less ($10.00) upgrade coupon
less ($5.00) rewards coupon
less ($5.00) rewards coupon
$3.98 for both or $1.99 each!

This is by far the best deal I've ever gotten on a blu ray that was marked $29.99! Thanks everyone!

I kind figured this would be the case. It can be assumed that nearly everyone that is buying TS2 is also buying TS1, but not necessarily the inverse. I think, in the absence of these killer deals, that it would be reasonable to assume the sequel would sell fewer units than the original.

What does the movie ticket look like inside the bluray packages? Did I fly right past them or does mine not have any? I didn't see anything that looked like the usual movie cash....unless it is something like Quantum of Solace tickets where you type in a code online to get it?

There's a code on the insert that you type in online to redeem the ticket.

It's against Targets policies and also against the coupon rules which are written on the coupon! What would you call it?

Haven't done it yet, but you apparently enter the "magic code" into your Disney Movie Rewards account.

My deal was a little different as I didn't get a chance to preorder until Sunday. They had no Princess and the Frogs blu-ray so I had to get DVD (bleh)... Preorder was $10.42.

I went in yesterday and there were two blu-rays of each Toy Story. Silly me, I forgot my preorder voucher, so I hid one of each. When I went back (hours later), they had more sitting out. I'm wondering if they had some set aside but were frustrated with people asking so they just put them out?

Anyways, got Toy Story 1 and 2 on blu (total was $5.66).... and Princess and the Frog DVD for about $16 total with taxes. Not bad at all. Didn't get the best deal but I'm happy with it!

Apologies if this has already been covered, but has anyone been able to print (2) movie tickets out? I assumed I would get one for purchasing each film (TS1 & TS2), but I only see one banner when logged into my account on the DMR site.

In anycase, thanks for the heads up on this great deal. I was able to use both $10 coupons and two $3 disney blu-ray coupons from DMR for a total of $9.xx for both films.

Re: Save $10.00 off Toy Story & Toy Story 2 Blu-rays when you upgrade from DVD or VHS

I had a real fiasco but it ended in me getting everything cheaper than expected. Originally I had thought I only got $15 off a Blu-ray instead of $20 with the preorder. Turns out I was charged $5 more than the BR was tagged at. When I returned to pick up the preorders I got that adjusted.

On to getting my preorders. The young lady who had checked me out the day before had scanned TS1 Blu-ray and TS1 DVD instead of TS2 BR! To her credit, the woman checking me out realized this wasn't correct and got the BR. I handed her the two $10 coupons and two $5 coupons. She handed me back the $5 coupons and told me I couldn't use both. Was ok with that until the total came up of around $25. I said that doesn't sound correct. After some discussion of what discounts had or had not been applied and her punching a lot of buttons, she finally said your balance due is $1.22. Said ok, swiped my card, CONFIRMED IT on my receipt and left.

Total for all 3 Blu-rays was $16.69. Just my story...

Coupon abuse, maybe, but it certainly isn't fraud. Fraud would be creating fake coupons, modifying the existing coupons, or copying the coupons (since they have one-time use codes). THAT would be fraud. Using multiple legitimate coupons isn't against the law. It may be against the company's rules, but no laws are broken. You couldn't be arrested for doing it...

I suggest you look up the meaning of fraud.

Using legitimate coupons is not it.
