Is this correct?

Yes, there is a printable $10 coupon for EACH film.

You could try using the $5 coupons with them, but if you pre-ordered at TRU, it's gonna end up with them owing you money, which probably won't fly.

I didn't preorder. But are these $10 ones not also manufacturer's coupons?

So let's set this straight (because no one has at this point):

The best deal so far between Target and TRU is to pre-order both discs at TRU by Mon (getting you a $15 discount) and applying both $10 manufacturers discount coupons on the movies at time of purchase?

Yes, you got 2 Blu-Rays for -$5, but only if you then cosider that you will be paying $7 for each Toy Story So I guess it is up to you how you want to interpert it. There's 2 other ways actually. You could not even buy the 2 Toy Story blu's and say you got Astro Boy and TPAF for $2.5 each or in the end that you got all 4 for $3.5 each. Man I love this deal we got

BTW Trevor, did you break this down somewhere on how you got the 2 Blu's at that price and the deposits. I can't figure it out in my end, thx.

So it would seem.

The only caveat is that the $15 discount can't be applied to the Toy Story movies, but only to a third Disney title of your choosing. This will increase your overall total spend, but it may be worth it if you do want another Disney film. If not, your $15 discount could be wasted, or you'll be forced to use it on an undesirable title.

Incidentally, if you want to apply the $15 discount to TPATF, there is also a $10 off printable coupon from Disney that expires at the close of business today (Sunday):

They are, and as such, probably shouldn't be combined, but people have had success combining the $5 and $10 manufacturer coupons for PATF at TRU.

Ahh, thx Trevor, see that you had an extra $5 TRU coupon that I assume was what some sort of $5 off 25 or more purchase and then the Redplum $16. Gotcha, I was just thinking perhaps that you got more of a discount on Astro Boy that I was not aware of that came from the Toy Story deal itself and was wondering if you had found some loophole of getting multiple titles on just 1 preorder. Thx and good score like everyone else.

Actually, If you're not intested in applying the "15" (actually 20) dollar discount to another Disney title, your best bet might be to NOT pre-order, and on Tuesday, try to combine the the $10 and $5 manufacturer's coupons (as people had success doing at TRU for PATF)

So:
16.99 TS1
16.99 TS2
-10 TS1 Coupon
-5 TS1 Coupon
-10 TS2 Coupon
-5 TS2 Coupon
= 3.98 + Tax

So basically the same price out the door on the day of release, but without paying any pre-order deposit or buying another movie.

I also had a $3 coupon for Astro boy, but figured that $1 total was pushing it.

Good point, but if you're near a TRU you might as well pick up a free DVD by pre-ordering. I got Oliver and Company yesterday for free, just for putting $10 down on the Toy Stories (extra copies for a friend).

Re: Save $10.00 off Toy Story & Toy Story 2 Blu-rays when you upgrade from DVD or VHS

I'm planning on going to Target this Tuesday (I couldn't be bothered with the whole pre-ordering business at Toys R Us). But I noticed in K-mart's circular that they are also doing the whole $10 off when you buy Toy Story 1 & 2 together. However, they didn't list the individual price.

I've never really been to K-mart. I'm not sure what to expect of their DVD prices. Anyone have any insight? As of now, Target has the better price of $22.99 each. (Best Buy was $24.99. I don't have a Wal-mart near me-- thankfully-- so I'm not considering them.)

I've always found KMart's prices to be several dollars more than every other chain every week on all dvds & blu rays (& they don't pricematch).

Thanks. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to factor in K-mart for this anyway. Something about that place doesn't sit well with me!

Re: Save $10.00 off Toy Story & Toy Story 2 Blu-rays when you upgrade from DVD or VHS

i have two questions. The best deal is toys r us correct? because its 16.99 each if you buy toy story 1 and 2. target its 22.99 each if you buy both correct?

so i am planning on using only the 2 $10 dollar coupons, so i think if i went to toys r us i would get the most money off, but what is everyone talking about 15 dollar preorder. i can't find that preorder for toys r us. someone please help.

You have to go the the store and pick up a pre order card by monday, and then when you pre-order both (with at $10 deposit) you can get an advertised $15 discount (which is currently ringing up as a $20 discount) on off of another Disney DVD or Blu which you buy at the same time.

Re: Save $10.00 off Toy Story & Toy Story 2 Blu-rays when you upgrade from DVD or VHS

Just printed out the 2 upgrade coupons. Thanks for the UPC's BTW.. On disney's site it says you can use the coupon for either TS or TS2.. but it doesn't say that on the coupons at all..

so

ts1 22.99
ts2 22.99
-10 for buying both.
-10 for coupon TS1
-10 for coupon TS2
Movie cash for both TS1 and 2 for TS3.. value 18$.. not bad!

+profit! =)

Re: Save $10.00 off Toy Story & Toy Story 2 Blu-rays when you upgrade from DVD or VHS

Okay, I know this is confusing but if this is correct I'm going out to TRU right now.

If I preorder them for $5 down each ($10 total) then they will still give me the prices as $16.99 each on Tuesday?

Then it seems they take more than 1 coupon, so I can use both of the TS $10 coupons on the total?

So it would break down as such:

+$16.99 TS
+$16.99 TS2
-$5 TS preorder
-$5 TS2 preoder

Subtotal: $23.98

-$10 TS coupon
-$10 TS2 coupon

Grand Total: $3.98

Is this correct? It seems like Trevor had no problem whatsoever using more than one manufacturer's coupon, I just want to use 2 so I don't know.

Anything at any retail store will always be YMMV of course, but yes, that should work fine. In fact, you'll be screwing yourself by not using any of the other coupons.

But one manufacturer's coupon per item should not be a problem at any store. TRU is just better than most at taking more than one per item.

your preorders are out of Pocket so it would be +10 towards the purchace. So your total would be 13.98 ish.

I need to sit down with paper, pencil, and a calculator and figure out what it would it might cost me to get A Bug's Life, Ratatouille, and Wall-E on Blu with the $8 upgrade coupons and assuming TRU will accept the 10/8/5 coupons for TS 1 and 2. There's got to be a deal here using those $8 coupons. Or is there a better deal placing another TS pre-order? My head is already hurting.

You're right, I forgot about that. But $14 is great for 2 Blus!

But they will honor the $16.99 prices on Tuesday if I preorder right?

Are they still offering the $15 towards another Disney title if I preorder?
