If you only have the $8 coupons for a specific title, then pre-ordering TS1/2 before Tuesday would be cheaper, as you'll save $20. Even if you eat that $10 spent on the pre-orders, you're saving $20, netting $10 off whatever disney title you want.

That's $18 off with the coupon. Unfortunately, they aren't on sale so it's $18 off $30. That's not bad but it will require 3 transactions because I doubt they give you $20 off on more than 1 on a single transaction. Walmart.com is listing the prices at 19.96 but I don't know if they stock them locally and if they do at that price.

There seems to be a difference in what people are saying about upgrade coupons on this thread - some say $8, some say $10. I just printed two $10 coupons, so whats the $8?

Hmm. Not sure what other stores you have near you, but you can check most chain stores prices and local inventory online.

There are three different coupons, $5, $8 you mail-in for, and $10. I've put easy to use links to them all in like 6 different threads here, maybe not this one though, but it's in the weekly comparison thread for sure.

Here are the coupons avaialable out there:

$10 coupon - obtained from Disney Movie Rewards site if you owned DVD/VHS or just so happen to get the UPC code from here to enter

$8 coupon - this is from the Disney Upgrade to BluRay program that began in December. You go to the ugradetoBlu website and print out a form and attatch either 1 of the stock# tabs or UPC from the back of your DVD slipcover and then Disney sends youa link by e-mail for this coupon

$5 coupon - general coupon from Disney that has been avaialable through them and requires nothing except just printing it out

Here are DVDTalk threads about the Toy Story $5 coupons, $10 coupons, and $8 coupons. Also pre-order both Toy Story combo packs at Toys-R-Us in-store before Tuesday and get $20 (supposed to be $15, but glitching to $20) off any other Disney title, and TRU will be the best place to buy them anyway.

TRU seems to win almost every time when it comes to Disney BDs. Months before I even thought about buying a BD player, I was collecting $5 Disney BDs thanks to TRU.

I just got back from TRU. I preordered both movies for $10 together. I picked up Bolt on BD because I've been wanting to buy that forever and just never wanted to pay the high price on it. It was marked $29.99 so I figured with the $15 savings I'd get it for $15. I got up there and the total came out to be a little over $21. I didn't question it and paid. When I looked at my receipt to make sure she scanned both TS I noticed that Bolt was listed as $9.99, originally $29.99 minus $15 and then an additional "Disney Promo" of $5, so I'm not sure what that was but I'm glad I stopped in there. Best Buy wants $35 for Bolt most of the time and I just picked it up brand new for $10! I may have to start buying my Disney BDs at TRU!

I don't have Toy Story on DVD or VHS. Sounds like the best deal I can get on the Blu-Rays is to pre-order at Toys R Us tomorrow night and use the two $5 coupons. Is that correct?

No! Use the $10 off "upgrade" coupons. You just need to enter the UPC from the TS DVDs to print these out. The $8 mail-away coupons with clipped UPCs are a PITA, and won't arrive in time.

Check post 132 for how to get the $10 coupons. Only you have to do is sign up on Disney Movie Rewards website and enter the UPC codes listed and then you can print off the $10 coupons for both TS1 & TS 2.

The $10 coupons are upgrade coupons. The $8 coupons are also upgrade coupons. Whether or not you can use both is very YMMV.
