Probably. On my receipt, it actually says "refund price 0.00"

With your math, wouldn't you have to give them a penny rather than getting one, if you were to return the movie? I don't think the DMR coupon or the $10 pre-order deposit figure into this because each are like $10 cash to TRU.
The way I can explain the refund price of $0.00 on my receipt is:
$29.99 tink movie
- $9.99 watch
- $10 gift card
- $10 BatB pre-order discount

not sure why that poster's receipt shows a penny refund value.

Re: Tinkerbell + B&tB + Toy Story 3 = $30 total at Toys R Us

Deal with both coupons works at Target!

receipt shows blu rays at $17.99 and then MFR coupon $10.00- so final price at $7.99

Coupons (both the Disney DMR coupon and the Target coupon) worked on the standard dvd and the Target Jewelry Box BD Exclusive too!

So for 4 blu rays, 1 standard and 1 Target BD - out the door with tax $56.21

Done with my Christmas shopping!!

thanks to DVDTalk!

I'm assuming people are just printing out that $5 TARGET coupon?

Re: Tinkerbell + B&tB + Toy Story 3 = $30 total at Toys R Us

My earlier post with all of the details did not work. Their system wouldn't credit the "Save $10 Today" from the B&TB pre-order, as the DMR coupon brought the price below the $19.99 threshold. I had three red-shirts staring at the cards/coupons/computer for almost 20 min., and irate customers beginning to build up behind me.

In the end, my total today was $10 + tax for the movie, watch, and gift card, plus $10 for the deposit last week. As the the total would have been the same with or without the B&TB pre-order, I took it out of the mix.

Re: Tinkerbell + B&tB + Toy Story 3 = $30 total at Toys R Us

As others reported, I had issues as well, but my guy re-rang things at least 10 times, and found out exactly where the issue lies. The system will not let the final balance go below the value of any gift card. With all discounts applied, the final balance must be at least $10, because you are getting a $10 gift card. I know it is technically free, but the system requires at least a $10 final balance. Those that got everything for zero, or a penny refund, must have had some sort of override done, which my manager was not willing to do (he claimed it couldn't be done). Also of note, the $5 coupon kept getting reduced to $2.48 because the total balance was too low. I had to add $10 worth of other items in order for the full $5 coupon to be removed. I ended up buying something that cost $15. So my total ended up being $15 plus tax. Thus, TB and my BATB deposit ended up being free in the long run (yes, I know I paid $10 for the deposit, but I got a $10 GC, so I consider that a wash)

Re: Tinkerbell + B&tB + Toy Story 3 = $30 total at Toys R Us

My TRU actually pulled all the pre-order cards for both B&THB and TS3 because of this glitch. It turns out I knew the manager and he confirmed that the problem is with the gift cards. He excepts them to have the issue fixed by tomorrow and the deal will still stack through all 3 movies. If they don't have it fixed by the morning, he told me he'll just take care of it manually.

You could have added something else for $10, and your total would have been the same. My store mgr experimented with that, and proved it to be true.

What are you talking about? This has to do with buying the movie not returning it.

Ok, you got the paranoid in me going. Here's an updated pic:

Mine evidently knew the gift card was an issue because the lady rang up everything, then I handed her the coupons and she told me that she'll need to get the manager because she has to do the coupons before the giftcard transaction. The manager just took me off to the side on the CS register, rang up the DMR coupon somehow and handed me $10 cash.

Perhaps this would all work if the cashier rang up TB, then the TB preorder card, then B&tB preorder, then tried to give the gift card out.

Yea, I think $5 would have worked, as with the B&TB pre-order, it was the same as without.

I don't think they are supposed to ring up TB, as you are not technically buying TB, just the balance from the card.

If she handed you $10 cash, then you are lucky by getting a cool manager willing to work "outside the system". The GC definitely kinks up the whole works. Yes, the GC must be scanned last, after all discounts are scanned.

Well, at least we shouldn't have any problems during the BATB phase of the bargain, since there isn't a $10 GC involved there...

I love these deals. Makes me feel like I'm getting away with something even though it's all legit.

When I saw that the clerk who was ringing me up was actually the Asst. Manager, I immediately thought he'd shut me down on some of the deals. Instead, he was trying his best to make sure I got all of them. The only one he couldn't get to work in the end was the TS3 pre-order deal in combination with the BATB one, but I'm fine with that. I'll just pre-order TS3 and use that deal when I pick-up BATB...

The best part I love about it are the employees, at least at my local one they don't bat an eye with all these offers and coupons and even when something goes wrong they actually try to work it out instead of making up rules on the spot. I can't say the same about some other local stores that are ready to tell you to fuck off just for bringing the coupon.

Anyone have a picture of the watch? Just wondering how cheap looking it is.

Well, maybe somebody else has a better understanding of this. But I took "refund price" to mean that this is what they will actually refund you if you were to return the movie.

What a clusterfuck this is. I had to call corporate to have them "mail" me my gift card since the store basically told me that the other promotions basically nullified it despite supposedly not having anything to do with one another. Aside from that I do believe that I paid an extra few bucks for the movie along with Prince of Persia and this is despite sneaking in the 5 off 25 coupon with both movies.

Re: Tinkerbell + B&tB + Toy Story 3 = $30 total at Toys R Us

So basically if I use the 10 disney rewards coupon and the $10 preorder that I already pre-paid for, the 9.99 isn't enough to get them to print out a 10.00 gift card? But if I pick up something extra to bring the total up (a toy, candy, whatever) it'll go through without a hitch? Or is there some other problem?

I actually bought another movie as well and despite that they said that using other promotions (coupons and 10.00 off with pre-order) negates the 10 dollar gift card although it shouldn't. They are exclusive to one another as the 10 dollar gift card is tied to the pre-order and pickup and not how much (or little) you actually spend on the movie itself.

Did anyone notice that TRU removed all other Blu-rays except Toy Story 1 & 2 and Prince of Persia?

Same thing happened to me as others so I was just coming here to ask for a number to call. Got it handy?

I also totally forgot about the watch. I guess I could call tomorrow to get them to hold one but TRU isn't really a hop, skip and jump for me.

Oh, and to get around the $5 off $25, I bought a couple of the $3 Lego minifigs, which are actually B2G1F. So I basically just got those next to free.

I picked up at Target for $7.99. BTW, I saw Hilary Duff @ Best Buy. She look pretty in person!
