Dropped by my local B&N to pick up a few unrelated things, and tripped into this sale. Ended up getting The Killing, The Life & Death of Colonel Blimp, and Kiss Me Deadly. I was so very pleased with my myself, I

Did anyone get City Lights ? How's the IQ on it ? I have the earlier DVD Special Edition and would like to know if it merits an upgrade ? I believe the special features are the same. TIA

I don't know..but...I'm not getting shit in the mail. For a long while now. I thought I was getting paranoid but.... yeah. How the fuck do I sign up for mailers?
I'm a member and they've only got my one address.
EDIT: alright...I just checked it out. I only get shit via email. So I now added it to also do by snail mail.

If anyone missed it there is a new 30% printable store coupon on the first page of the B&N coupon thread. However the one requirement is a Mastercard is needed for payment, but otherwise all customers can use it before it expires this weekend.
Also I have been giving away extra coupons I received today. I have a limited supply and can only give one per person to be fair to everyone. Coupons are valid online or at stores for 20% off plus an extra 10% with a Mastercard. Will not work with the Criterion sale online because of coupon restrictions, but you may have better luck at stores.

Re: B&N 50% Criterion blu-ray sale November 5 through December 2
So part of my initial order seems to be stuck in limbo.
I'll try to be brief: I initially placed it when coupon codes still worked, so I managed to get $3 off. Paid with the gift cards I got as part of the promotion. While the order was waiting for the last 2 items to be released (City Lights and Frances Ha), the coupon seems to have 'mysteriously' disappeared from the order. So it's showing an order total $3+ higher than what's been taken from the gift cards. I chatted with customer service 2 days ago to try and see why the rest wouldn't ship (I made sure not to point out the price difference) but I have yet to hear back.
I'm probably going to have to bite the bullet and forget about the promo code, aren't I?

If I want to pre-order It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World utilizing one of the 30% coupons, how do I do that in store? If I get a cooperative cashier, do I just tell them I want to pre-order it and then they do ship to home through their system or what?

Basically yes. I just say I want to order something, shipped to my home. But you likely won't get the 50% off price. Whatever their online price is currently is what you'll pay, minus the 30% off of course...

That's what I figured, but also why I was confused. Some have been successful pre-ordering the Zatoichi set with the 50% discount.. but I'm guessing that's because it fell in the sale window.

That's right. It's been listed at $112.49 since the sale started. FWIW, Mad World and Throne of Blood are currently 27% off. If you don't want to wait until the next sale in July, it might be worth pre-ordering with a 30% coupon.

When you order stuff through the store, the price does not lock. They will charge you whatever the price of the item is the day you go to the store and pick it up. IAMMMMW comes out after the sale is over.

^ But if you order with ship to home and pre-pay, you lock in the price on the website.
