I'm glad I waited a few days--I forgot about the Flaming Lips set until someone mentioned it in one of these threads, and of course I was able to jump on Amazon's Arrested Development sets. I also decided Looney Tunes Volume 3 was a good Christmas gift to ask for, since it's about the same price as DDD's discount in some stores... Sorry if this has been asked and answered in one of the million or so posts so far, but does anybody have the 1080 CD Oskar storage unit? If so, how is it? Seems like a fairly good deal at about $100...Also, is it still eligible for free shipping since it says that it will ship directly from the manufacturer? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hell yeah! The best season of the show, IMO. Also, a very underrated, misunderstood, and emotional season at that. Sorry. I had to go off-topic for this. Whether you got this for yourself or as a gift for someone, you/"the giftee" should not be disappointed (that's if you haven't seen it yet, of course). And that's a great price to boot - I paid upwards of 70 bucks when it was first released in May.

I asked DDD if they would honor the lower price for Millennium season 3 because it dropped in price after I ordered it and refund me the difference, and the CSR said they can either price match the competitor (they're their own competitor?) or give me the 20% off their own current price... which is exactly what I was asking for in the first place. When did they start hiring CH employees?

Yaeh, agreed. It must be very difficult. That's why I'm totaly cool with however longs it takes (plus free shipping is a bonus), but when they just outright totally canceled part of my order (in this case Psychic Academy) which was something I had really wanted it sort of angered me a bit, but I just gave them a call to see what was up with it.

It is hard to fathom the logistics in ramping up to a sale like this. This sale has been on, what five days now and only now am I noticing many titles on backorder. Take Lost S1 for example. That price and so many have posted they ordered it, which means even more did NOT post that it was ordered. Only now am I seeing it back ordered.

Not to mention that they have to have temp workers to fill in in CS and order fulfillment during this time. Getting people trained in a short period of time, especially the kind of worker you get as a temp, must be a challenge too.

I'm planning a 6th order, but many titles I wanted are going on backorder recently.

Someone mentioned Pi/Requiem for a Dream 2-pack. For that price, I think I will do a blindbuy on Requiem even though I didn't really care about Pi. Also, thanks to the people who mentioned those pinky violence flicks. I'm going to order those 2 that are currently out.

There will be no pre-ordering of Season 4, for me. At least not after the last season. What a crapfest. From here on, 24 is a "rent-first" title.
