Most of my first and so far only order has arrived. Just missing my Monty Python set which shipped a couple days later as standard mail. Still biding my time for a big second order that I'll split between them and DVDPlanet now.
Isn't DVDPlanet and DDD part of the same company?

I think I was the first one to post an order after the codes were activated and I finally received it today (in CA) via the free shipping. Thanks DDD! Very, very happy with my purchase of the James Bond Ultimate Collection Volume 1.

I hope they really extend this sale. I haven't had a chance to do anything with this sale because of too many things happening. Will all of the discount codes still work through the 23rd? I guess if they don't then I'll have to miss this sale.
The only 3 things I was really considering were the 2 James Bond Ultimate sets and maybe Acapulco HEAT season 2 simply because I never saw it, and paying $13 may be the only way I can. Hopefully it'll be worth a little as a used trade-in.
The real dilemma is I paid $47.50 + tax for each of my James Bond sets at Best Buy with the "Scene It" bonus DVD. With double RZ points (4%), my effective Best Buy price including tax is $49.42. So the difference is $5.51 per set... is it worth returning the unopened Best Buy ones with the bonus DVDs and ordering from DDD to save $5.51 x 2?
If I knew what was on the Scene It bonus DVD, then I could make that decision. A Google search turned up nothing other than 1 sentence about a trivia game sampler. Could anyone be more specific what's on the Scene It bonus DVD? Thanks.

I want to get the Great Yokai War, but I think I should just wait, maybe it will go down in price in time, and I already ordered so much.

Well , Versus is kinda campy but kinda cheesy fun. Gozu and Izo are strange Miike films which are both decent if you like Miike.
All have good special features.
(Also, Batle Royale is available in region free editions with Subtitled Extras and great quality picture and sound.)

Izo is really beautiful though, I need to get that sometime, I have the other two, Gozu is something I'd keep checking out, I had a hard time watching Versus on repeated viewings. I would just rent that one if you could, it's alot of fun the first time.

Yeah but not at DDD. Actually I've had my eye on Battle Royale for awhile, since I'm also a big Fukasaku fan, so thanks for the reminder- I'm gonna put it on the Christmas list.

Rent Izo first, don't buy it. It is a VERY divisive. Some people adore it, some loathe it. Gozu, strangely, is more commonly adored. Izo is a bit slow, and doesn't hit everyone's buttons. It is currently one of my least favorites, though I do intend to rewatch it soon.
I am not a fan of Versus right now either, though I did like Death Trance, so I may try that one again as well.
Gozu is my recommendation. Or, if you are more open-minded, Visitor Q is my personal favorite of Miike's films.
Just to show that I have a pretty large frame of reference

I'm not making the actual order until Tuesday, when some other things I want come out. Thanks for the second opinion but I think I will probably stick with Izo. As I said I will eventually own both, it's just a matter of which one I'll own first. After watching some clips and trailers on youtube it's very close but I'm leaning towards Izo. That could change between now and Tuesday though.

Oh, and I'll agree with whoever said Visitor Q is Miike's best. Fantastic film.
