Damn, I got my first shipping confirmation from my 1st order on the 11th & the F'n order STILL has not arrived. This is the slowest shipping I've ever had from this sale.

Can anyone recommend some basically what will become blind buys for $5 and under (give or take)? Looking to place an order with some Xmas stuff before it ends and might get a couple for myself.

A few DVDs I am considering buying from DDD are:
Ultimate Flint Collection (3 DVDs)
The Punisher (Extended Edition)
Black Rain (Special Edition)
I found reviews for Black Rain SE, but nothing on the other 2 other than the "official" specs. Does anyone have any review links?
Regarding the Flint collection, are these new transfers using DVD-9 or the same old transfers on DVD-5 packaged with a bonus DVD? I think the commentary tracks are new.
Without some review info, I'll probably pass on these this time. Too bad reviews on double-dip release often have such a big lag time. Fortunately DDD does this sale every 6 months.

It took about 10 days but I finally received part of my second order containing the James Bond Collection volumes 1 & 2. Still waiting for my third and fourth orders. Also received shipping confirmation today on several items that were back ordered.

At least I hope it goes all the way through 11/23 - since I have the whole day free tomorrow I'm planning on sitting down in the morning and whittling out some titles in my cart and wishlist and adding a few I have overlooked, then finally place my order(s). Then I'll go through again later to make sure I've ordered everything I wanted - I usually order a few items I've been on the fence about or forgotten about at the last minute.
However, if it does happen to end tonight, there's still a safety net with the DvdPlanet sale, which goes through the 26th.

I spoke with someone in customer service today about a pre-order that had gone post-order during the extended sale period. He helpfully credited me the 20% difference. He also confirmed that the sale ends at midnight Thursday night, so still time to spend more $!

its probably not the fault of DDD though. sometimes stuff just sits at the post office for a while. i know the denver postal system is really bad. but, with the number of orders talked placed from dvd talkers, some are bound to be at the long end of shipping time. people like to complain about it being DDD, but i dont necessarily think thats always the case.........
