Two online 40% off coupons? Sweet!

The new R.E.M. live CD/DVD set is much cheaper with this coupon than it is anywhere else right now. Good stuff.

Hmmm... was gonna use the codes on some pre-orders (with a $10 GC), but it looks like they're busted? The coupons are only applying 10% off list price. What gives?

It seemed to show 40% off in my cart on the Kevin Smith Blu-ray Box Set (11/17 release date), but I didn't complete the transaction as my Borders Bucks aren't accessible yet.

Meh, I think I figured it out. The pre-order items I'd selected already had a 30% off thing going on, so the code only gave me the remainder to total a 40% discount. Lame. Oh, well.

I have Borders Bucks available from "Now through Nov 30th" on the "My Account" page, but when I go to check out on the "Payment Method" screen, it says, "You currently have $0.00 in Borders Bucks".

Anyone else have this dichotomy?

Are you applying it to an "In Stock" item? I know some of their deals aren't eligible with Backorders or Pre-Orders.

Borders is having a one day sale on Wednesday, the 25th. Lot of Blu-rays and DVDs are included. Here's a link to the coupon that also lists all of the qualifying titles-

There are some great deals on that list, especially the $5 DVDs.

Hmmm, you might be able to get the Stargate: 15th Anniversary Blu-ray for $10 with that coupon. All it simply states is "Stargate".

Re: The Official Borders Coupon Thread volume 2 - Updated Weekly

Well I was first in line at Borders this morning, and as expected, they didn't have everything on that list. Several customers were asking where things were and the CS rep said that they didn't have any stock in store but they could order from Borders.com.

I was able to pick up a few that I wanted:

Starship Troopers BR (they only had 2 copies in stock)
Casino Royale DVD (only 1 copy in stock)

I wanted Mad Max on DVD and a few others, but no stock was available in store....and it wasn't because somebody else got to it first.

The Stargate that is on sale is NOT the 15th Ann. edition.

Weird. I think every title was available where I was. I manage to get "Rachel Getting Married" and "Mad Max" for $10 total.

I just used the coupon for Burn Notice 2, which I've been waiting a long time for at a nice price.

Picked up 2001: A Space Odyssey and Silence Of The Lambs on Blu-Ray.

Happy about the prices since I probably won't be out in the madness on Friday.

So is Borders' Black Friday sale the same as the Preview Night on Wednesday?

Thanks. I'd seen that one, but it's online only.

I'm interested in an OOP item I saw in-store today......
