Has anyone who ordered Batman the Complete Animated Series in the last couple of days had their order cancelled or shipped?

I might have to return my copy because the spindle that holds the discs to the case were completely destroyed when I got it. I don't want to send it back and then have them tell me they can't get a replacement from Warner Bros.

I'm not very happy right now, couldn't remember what items I ordered were going to be coming in the next few days so I went to the site to check. It showed my order as closed then when i went into the order all 8 backordered items were cancelled.

Just checked my order (placed yesterday). Closed/cancelled. One item was OOS, the other was in stock. Of course no email with "Hey, we had a problem" or even "We don't want your money."

Getting ready to leave for the day, but an update. I mailed five friends that I knew had stuff backordered as well before I went to bed last night. All three that responded to me have their orders showed as Closed and the items listed as cancelled. Here's the thing that is really getting to me, one of my cancelled items now shows as in stock if you add to cart.

I think it got pretty good reviews for picture/audio, but like the dvd released last year, there is only a 30-min documentary that doesn't deal with the film.

Thanks for pointing those out, I've been wanting this too. I can't seem to find the same titles at dvdplanet for some reason, but they do have the big box. (which costs more and doesn't include Sharpes Challenge) I may just import the Region 2 version which looks to be quite a bit cheaper.

Is it possible to cancel an item from an order?
I can't find a "cancel" option anywhere on the site.

You can't cancel directly on the web site. You either have to call or email. However since they are probably busier with the sale I would call.

DD does not have an online cancellation feature like Amazon. You can try calling to cancel (800-264-5076), but they're generally not very accommodating about cancelling any part of an order once it's been submitted. They just say the order has already been sent to the warehouse.

Once you receive the order, however, it's pretty easy to return for credit. They just email you a prepaid mailing label.

A follow-up to my order I listed previously, I received the DVD's today in a nice bubble envelope and no floaters! Excellent, thanks DeepDiscount! And, I wasn't worried about this part, but I should mention both DVD's did come with their Dust Jacket covers- A Charlie Brown Christmas(remastered) and How The Grinch Stole Christmas(Deluxe). My Local Wal-Mart is selling the Grinch one without the outer cover...
