I got all excited, filling up my cart with Blu discs, but then at checkout, the total price in the cart was like $180 .
I can't believe no one has commented on this glitch.
The Disney Movie Club threads used to be so much more active than this. What happened?

I think glitches are only comment-worthy if they're to our benefit, in general.

Well, yes and no. Obviously we love when they work in our favor, but just as well, I think it's worth mentioning if only to warn others not to make a mistake like I almost did. I was just about to hit the SUBMIT button when I noticed the outrageous amount they were going to charge.
Also, I didn't know if anyone had figured a way around this glitch to actually work in our favor... apparantly not.

Well late last year (I think), there was a glitch on the site where Disney was letting you pick anything as an enrollment, but some things were charging more before checkout. I think a few people got away with things they shouldn't have gotten as enrollments by calling the Disney CSR's after they placed the orders to complain (notably, I think a few people got the Collectors versions of Nightmare before Christmas and Sword in the Stone). I'm not sure what they'd do if you filled your cart with blu-rays. You could always give it a try, and see what happens when you call. Worst case is they make you switch them out for somthing else. Best case is you get something cool as an enrollment to make up for their mistake. So it's up to you if you think it's worth a shot.

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5

^ i did this, but not intentionally, as it was my first enrollment in the dmc. i just searched titles i wanted, they came up and i added them to my 7:2 order. at checkout, everything looked fine dollar-wise too. however, at the receipt page i printed, my total was over $100 or something like that.

next day, a mouseketeer just told me that wasnt supposed to happen and adjusted the price manually. didnt even mention that i wasnt supposed to pick those non-enrollment titles.

I tried filling my cart with Blus and was told that they had to cancel my order and I would have to join their blu-ray club.

I did the same thing about 3 days ago and have heard nothing back from them. Did you have to call them?... or did they contact you?
What was the offer for Blu-ray Club?

Thanks

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5

I had to call them and I'd advise doing so before the billing goes through. As for the Blu-Ray club offer when I got transferred over the woman didn't have any deals at that time. I just signed up again regular with the 5 for $1 code (will trade them in or sell them on ebay)

^Thanks duckydan!

To clarify for everyone:

Get 2 BR @ $4.95/each w/free shipping, THEN:

"As a Disney Movie Club member, all you need to do is buy 3 movies at regular Club prices in the next 24 months (starting at $29.95 per Blu-ray disc), plus shipping and processing of $3.95 for the first title in each order, and $1.49 for each additional title in that same order. You may cancel your membership at any time after purchasing the 3 movies.

YOU MAY ALSO TAKE A 3RD BLU-RAY DISC NOW AT THE SPECIAL PRICE OF JUST $19.95. PLUS YOU PAY NO ADDITIONAL SHIPPING AND PROCESSING CHARGE. This Bonus Movie will even count towards your purchase commitment, so you'll only need to purchase 2 more movies in the next 24 months instead of 3."

I signed up for this a few hours ago. So we'll see how it goes.

I tried to sign up like a week ago with the regular club, and adding all Blurays to my cart to see if it would work out in my favor with the website glitch. However, I never heard anything back about that app, so I assume they just tossed it. Nice of them to let me know .

For clarification purposes, I can be a member of both the regular and the BD clubs, correct?

I would imagine no one knows the definitive answer to that question, since the BR club is so brand new. A quick phone call to the club might give us the answer though.

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5

Hi I am new and I have a question before I join the Disney movie club. I tried searching for the answer but haven't had any luck or heard back from the email I sent DIsney. I don't have a blu ray player yet but I do have an hdtv and plan to purchase a player in the near future. I was wondering if the DIsney blurays offered in the club come with the dvd copy as well like they do on amazon.com. I am trying to decide if it would be beneficial to join the blu ray club instead of the regular dvd club? thanks in advance

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5

Some titles DO come with a dvd copy, but most DO NOT.
For all intense purposes, the titles are the same at the club as they are on Amazon.
So if it says at Amazon that the Blu-ray includes a copy of the dvd, it also should be the same at the DMC. Note that "digital copy" and "dvd copy" are not the same thing.
I doubt though, that you'll find enough Blu-ray discs at the DMC enrollment site to put together a whole enrollment package with Blu-ray movies that also include dvds. That type of Blu-ray package is still kind_of rare.

While you are at Amazon.com, check out some of their best selling Blu-ray players. They are getting better and are also becoming much more affordable. I personally recommend Panasonic for the lower tier players, and OPPO for the upper tier.

Hope this helps, and good luck.

Well, I called the DMC today and found out that you can indeed be a member of both clubs. Just to be safe (and perhaps to get better movie options), I'd sign-up for the club via telephone.

Are there any enrollment codes out there for the DBD?

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5

To help out the guy who wanted disney discs with DC or DVD:

Bolt - Dvd & Digital Copy
A Bug's Life - Digital Copy
Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert - Digital Copy
High School Musical 3 - Digital Copy & DVD
Jonas Brothers 3D Concert Experience - Digital Copy & DVD
Nightmare Before Christmas, The - Digital Copy (on some versions not all)
Pinocchio (3 Disc) - DVD & Digital Copy
Prince Caspian (3 Disc version) - DVD & Digital Copy
Race to Witch Mountain - DVD & Digital Copy
Sleeping Beauty - Digital Copy & DVD
Tinkerbell - Digital Copy
Wall E - Digital Copy

That said while none of the discs that are 3 disc combos with a dvd are on the startup list you may get lucky by calling to sign up.

Well, I already have a dvd club membership, and am waiting for a good fulfillment opportunity.
So I decided to try and sign up for the Blu-ray Club too.
Yesterday I got a letter in the mail declining my app because I already have an open account.

That sucks. That goes against what the rep that I spoke with said after she put me on hold for five minutes, after which she told me that it was ok. Now, maybe becuz I am a VIP member, having already fulfilled my account, it was a green light for me.

Try it over the phone and see what happens. Worst case scenario, you'll find out why they wouldnt let you double dip.

Wall E does not have a DVD, it is 2 discs, one feature, one extras, and the third disc is the digital copy

Made that adjustment... I only have the 2 disc one and assumed based on their other 3 disc sets.

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5

I haven't been visiting the Disney site lately, other than to decline the monthly selection, but I just noticed they're having the 3 for $60 Blu-ray promotion again. Actually, it says $20 each, with a minimum purchase of 3. I don't know if that combines with the 20%-off Blu-ray sale, but maybe. Now's a good time to fulfill, if you're into Blu-rays. You might be able to stack with a Featured Selection package for free shipping, too.

Well, I logged into my account and searched and searched, but could find no mention of this $20 BR sale. The only "offer" I see is 25% off dvds / 15% off Blu-ray.

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5

When you click on the Blu Ray headings, does it have the price 20.00 in red? If not, it's possible that it could be a VIP thing (which I hope not).
