Disney Movie Club part 5

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5
Do you mind sharing when you placed your order for Zorro 1 & 2? I placed my order 11/6 and they are still listed as Processing. I have a feeling DMC may cancel the treasures out of my order due to running out (no longer available on the site). This happened to me on my last two treasure orders.

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5
Thank you everybody, that was a big help. Yesterday my order status changed from Processing to On Hold. I called DMC today and asked the cast member if she could clarify my order status. After some checking, she said that my order will ship today. My order status changed back to Processing. I'm hopeful...

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5
My order for the 2 Zorro Treasures has shipped.
However, the order apparently only counted as 1 fulfillment.
It might be that the DMC has cleaned up their site, and now discounted items won't count as fulfillments anymore (as the terms say, but they always counted, anyway).
I ordered the first at full price, but the second was discounted from $39.95 to to $19.98. I have done this exact same thing to fulfill other accounts (using Lost season sets, for example). Anything over $19.95 has counted as a fulfillment before.
So, anybody else in the same boat? Anybody else have a discounted title count as a fulfillment since November 3rd?

^Same here. Only the full priced one counted. Even if that doesn't change it's still a better price than anywhere else. If it weren't spelled out in the TOS I'd give 'em a call... but since it is... Guess I'll have to make another purchase to fulfill...

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5
It's already hard enough to get a good deal through the club, and this will make it all but impossible.
On the flip side, they give away Snow White, Up and Monsters Inc at the B&Ms for next to nothing.
What is my incentive to join the club anymore?... Club Exclusives?
Ya, those are good for selling so I can recoup some of the cost for having to pay $35 for a selection of the month.

This is really going to suck though if it's a 'change across the board'.

You can use your "Other Offers" page to change your deal, which might make some things count as fulfillment titles.
Or you can call the DMC's CS line, and they can adjust your order to make items full price so they will count as fulfillments.
Just place the order, let the 3rd-5th items get discounted, call them, they will undiscount them, and you will have 5 fulfillments.
You can do this in the cart at CH, but the DMC doesn't have that option.
But I have to say: 5 fulfillments? Ouch.

My "Zorro Treasures" arrived today! WOW! These are some classy sets! Even if the 2nd, discounted, season doesn't count as a fulfillment I'm *still* happy with these!
Now I just need to find somewhere to unload the color ones...

Yeah, I know. I didn't know about some of the deals you guys have been racking up until after I joined the DMC. Live and learn. (And, I have!)

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5
I'm looking to fulfill my membership sometime soon. I have two quick questions that could affect my strategy for doing so:
1. Any idea when we can expect Up to be added (as a fulfillment, not an enrollment)?
2. Have there been any really good sales at DMC since they switched to the new site? I know there used to be the occasional B1G1 or B1G1,50%, etc. I'll stick it out a few months if those sales still show up. Otherwise, no point in waiting.
Thanks in advance!
Edit: Just to clarify: I'm looking for DVD deals, not Blu-Ray deals.

Got my Zorro Treasures yesterday as well. A few minor scratches (more obvious because the tin is black) but in amazing shape for being in a thin cardboard sleeve with no padding (and even more surprising our P.O. didn't manhandle it)

Up is my featured title selection right now. Wish they had some better choices for the double feature with FS though. I already have Snow White, and I have absolutely no interest in Santa Buddies.

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5
Speaking of featured titles, I don't see one anywhere on the site. It is a fairly new account (I don't like keeping them open for long). Any particular place I should be looking for it?

Thanks! Based on what I've seen in the past, that means I'll probably be able to get it through normal means once the featured title changes.

Not that I've seen. The "best" *deal* recently has been the Zorro Treasures with a B1G1@50% off, but the "sales" overall are pretty mundane... Mostly 30% off, B1G1@50% off, or free shipping if you purchase the Selection of the Month "double feature" package (which have been made up of pairings that appear to be designed to move slow selling or less desirable titles as the 2nd "feature").

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5
Sorry to ask another dumb question that's probably been asked before... I'm trying to buy two titles as fulfillment, but the 25% discount on the second title is going to prevent it from counting. How do I get rid of the discount? (Ugh, there's a question that wasn't fun to ask)

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5
another (dumb) question--do box sets count toward fulfillment? i have 2 more movies to buy and saw in the recent mailer that the Kevin Smith box set is available for $69.95
also,if i use the "15% Off Your order" option will it still go towards my commitment?
thanks for any and all help....

Re: Disney Movie Club part 5
^Box sets count. Depending on price they'll count as 2.
In the past, titles at $59.95 or higher counted as 2 fulfillments. The mailer *should* indicate just how many fulfillment credits the title will receive.
Also in the past *any* title that was at least $19.95 after the discount is applied would also count. BUT recent experience, coupled with reports from others of the same, is that they've "fixed" this. According to the TOS, discounted titles are *not* supposed to count, no matter what the price is after the discount. Several of us ordered both Zorro Treasures getting 50% off the 2nd. It met the minimum price threshold, but did *not* count as a fulfillment. The only way to know for sure in your case would be to order the title and see.

So it's not that it's a dumb question, but you should maybe read back at least a few dozen posts to see what people are discussing in this thread. There's lots of useful information here.
