Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

If I use that code and the titles are over $20 each the purchases still count towards commitment, right?

In the past the use of a code would not negate a title qualifying as a fulfillment purchase even if it took the final cost below the fulfillment threshold. You should be able to purchase a $25 title for $15 and it will still count.

Thanks! I am going to place an order soon for a few titles that will count towards fulfillment then. I appreciate the help.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I used the $10 off code with the $11.99 dvd offer (no other purchase necessary).

Can it be used multiple times on one account? Anyone tried that yet?

I don't think so. I tried to use it twice on one account and it said that code had expired.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I actually earned the ten off any amount on my tv and movie accounts. So I placed 1 order on one account and it will no longer work on my tv account when it worked when I tested it before. Seems like they are using more measures to prevent abusing it even though I had earned the right to use it twice.

Was the coupon only good for Saturday? I tried using it for the first time today and, while it said that the coupon had been applied, it didn't take anything off my total.

I just used it successfully.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

NEW COLUMBIA HOUSE UNADVERTISED POLICY. I had 2 accounts and I cancelled 1 of them so I can take advantage of the enrollment codes. Columbia House just informed me that they have changed their enrollment policy and now they only allow 1 account to be active at a time. If you already have 2 accounts, they will still work, but if you cancel 1 and try to enroll in a second account it won't work anymore. They said it's to prevent them from getting confused when shipping movies (what a bunk). The enrollment looks like it might work, they say thank you for enrolling and we'll get back to you when we confirm your account, but they never setup the second account and you don't get a notification indicating that you're not getting the second account.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Were your 2 accounts the same (i.e DVD or TV) or were they different (DVD vs TV)? Then we can get back to the sale codes..

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I thought maybe I could find an item over $25 to use the coupon on. But I couldn't find ANYTHING! Buying two items would be pointless, since shipping would completely negate the savings. Hotel Transylvania 3D is the only item that comes close for me, but I never saw it, and typically non-Disney 3D titles become cheap at BB eventually...

In regards to the 1 account (per type) limit, I just submitted a request to cancel one of my accounts. I won't open a new one right away, but I like to have the option available to quickly submit an application. Such as the glorious period when BD's were accepted as enrollments. I miss that!

I keep a TV account active for coupons etc. and cycle through the regular accounts. A couple of years ago they upgraded my TV account so shipping is a flat $3 no matter what I order....sets excluded of course. I think this works well as there's no difference between the accounts aside from the initial order.

Is there a link to join the CH TV club with a good deal?

Negative. They used to have the HDL code that gave you 2 enrollments for $10. Alas, that deal is long dead. The only TV Club deal is the default offer of 2 enrollments for $19.90.

Other than giving you the ability to have two accounts open (thus faster cycling of accounts), there is no longer a benefit for being in the TV club that I am aware of. You can join the regular club and take 7 TV seasons as enrollments. That's what I always do... But until they offer BD's an enrollments again, I won't be cycling much. I don't want more DVD's, unless it's a title not on BD.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

They have really put me in a corner. Me and my wife both have 1 DVD account each that still has the Bill Me option (which is the only way I would do biz with CH). Since you cant get a Bill Me account anymore and you can now only have 1 I guess I wont be cycling any accounts anytime soon.

I recently opened a new account within the last 2 weeks and was allowed to do so with the Bill Me option. Don't know why it works for some but not others.

Actually just received all of my titles today as they were all showing up as "backordered" when I ordered them.

I just need to remember to call them to try and cancel an order I recently placed since they no longer respond to emails.

Same here. Things would start popping in this forum again if they would finally do that. I stopped cycling accounts altogether years ago and now just order the occasional BR when CH has a can't be beaten offer (which is rare), no different than any other vendor. But BRs for enrollments is way beyond overdue.
