Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Good to see it works on BD's. Thinking about picking up the Friday the 13th set. If I can find another title for around $22.50 or up, it would knock down to around $62-$65.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

has there been an announcement on when the new bonus point system will be up and running? I just got the last of my 12 boxsets from the early august 20% + free shipping sale which should mean about 72 bonus points.

The $10/$25 coupon appears to be dead already...

I should have enough points to get a couple nice items too. They usually expire at the end of the year. Somebody should ask them on their facebook page where they were answering queries.

Happy Birthday Guillermo del Toro! Enter code 'Hellboy' at checkout and get Hellboy II: The Golden Army for FREE!

Not sure how long this is good for.

^Be aware this only works if you have at least $20 worth of stuff in your cart. It can be several under $20 items but the cart total must be $20 or more before it'll take the code. It gets free shipping as well.

Spend $19.95 and enter 'Rejects' as a code and you'll get The Devil's Rejects BD free.

Spoiler:

Never expected any of these to ship since a)it was a pretty sizeable glitch b)I received cancellation notices on these and a couple of more orders c)despite the cancellation notices, the orders still say "processing" opposed to shipped or cancelled.

In all there's 10 complete sets of House M.D. divided among the 3 boxes. Had I known what was in the boxes before opening them, I would have returned the box with only 2 sets since I was charged pretty much the same total price for those 2 sets as I did for the ones with 3 and 5 sets in them.

Anyone know if a package can be returned after it has been opened? The box, not the items inside obviously. If I can't, I will probably dump some while keeping some for gifts.

And in case someone thinks I was acting "greedy" by ordering all these, I only intended to place an order for the first box of 5 sets. But I, along with some others were having a hard time getting the new website to finish placing the orders. Short version of the story, I somehow had multiple orders placed for the same items and did not realize I was getting any of them until my mail lady showed up today struggling to remove these 3 boxes from her vehicle.
Lucky... I could use a new house.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

UPDATE:

Well, I got a package today from the glitch back at the start of August (they shipped it to the apartment we were living in until September and not to our new address like I requested but it's only a mile away). It was a nice sized box with this item in it, no invoice at all, but it did have this very basic typed note as well. I don't think this company has a clue at all what they are doing anymore...

Never received my Dark Knight sets. I just shot them an email referring to the House sets I received. I have sent in payment but it's not showing up as being paid. I would like to receive some of my other orders but I am assuming this is holding them up.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I placed a couple small orders during sales that included one preorder in each. Well, the preorders have been released for a month now and I still haven't gotten them (I did eventually get the other items). Once these orders are complete I am done for good with Columbia House. I just don't see the point any more.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

I got a call from our old apartment that they received three more boxes for me today. It sure looks like they are honoring this for me now. Even more notable is the little note they had attached to the KoQ invoice...

Spoiler:

I had the same note on one of my invoices for the House MD sets. It happened to be on the largest of the orders I received. My total wasn't quite that low though.

WOW! If I'd know KoQ was offered *again* at that price I'd have tried for a copy! Nice haul!

Of course that *was* back in August and I've slept so I may very well have tried to take advantage of it and just don't recall...

I am right with you Bill…

Oblivion arrived in 21 days after I placed the order…
The pre-ordered Pacific Rim 3D took 9 days…
I am still waiting on the pre-ordered Man of Steel 3D @ 9 days and counting to even ship…

The Weird Science BR that I pre-ordered was released 38 days ago and still has not shipped. Ditto for High Plains Drifter. WTF.

They will be out of business soon. Either they cut staff down to a minimum or they cannot afford to have stock on hand. Those are the only two reasons that would explain why they take forever to ship out orders. I'm still waiting on Pacific Rim from a month ago and Man of Steel from over a week ago.

My heavens! They finally shipped my order. It only took them a month and a half.

Re: Columbia House Sale Offer Codes, Part VI

Frustrating B1G1 sale w/ free shipping. I've tried finding a reasonably-priced set and adding a DVD that meets the 'free' standard (not pre-order, director's selection, etc.), and it just gives me a shipping discount but still wants to charge me for both items. It always worked before (and the set price IS above the price of the DVD, so that's not the problem). Was hoping to use the deal to pick up a more obscure or foreign title that isn't part of any big box BF promotions (and isn't likely to show up cheap at the flea mkt. or pawn shops in a month).
