Amazon.com still shows the 2/6 date. I hope they change it since I'll be buying it there.

I don't know what's up with amazon. Out of curiosity I also checked buy, dvdplanet, DDD and even Walmart and they all list it as 1/23, which definitely makes a lot more sense.

Doesn't make sense to me either. Then again, lack of extras didn't stop a lot of people from double-dipping on Superbit SDs for the improved PQ/AQ.

I'm still confused over Kingdom of Heaven. That's a 3 hour movie on a BD-50 that contained no extras from the 4-disc set. It was encoded with MPEG-2 and had a DTS Master Audio mix, but damn if that took up almost 50 gig, that's kinda scary.

I'd probably buy into BluRay much sooner if Fox's releases had the video based extras of their SD versions... All well, will wait for the double-dips in in a yr or two.

I still dont get why we dont have a release date for Harry Potter GOF here in the US....I assumed it was going to be Dec 5th. But, I would think they would have announced it by now.

I finally joined the HD revolution. With my 360 add on.

I'm fighting the urge to buy movies I want on DVD now, when I know in a few months they may be released in a better format.

DavisDVD has info on all the upcoming Lion's Gate blu-rays and they seem to be packed. Of interest are the all DTS-HD tracks, BD-exclusive extras on Saw III and HD extras on Reservoir Dogs. Sounds good I'm so looking forward to American Psycho.

The Descent looks like it's also going to be a great BD. That 6.1 PCM track should sound amazing. Sounds like LionsGate is on the right track now. Too bad Amazon.com still doesn't have this up for preorder.

Nope. Don't contain all the extras...ESPECIALLY American Psycho. That's in my Top 10 ever and even I'd be hard pressed to buy it if it came out with these specs.

Awesome news! Looks to me like they are sticking with MPEG-2. I wish they would provide some lossless/uncompressed audio, but the DTS will be fine.

Here's a positive review for The Mummy. Audio and Video gets 4/5.

For lower stock items, I wouldn't put much faith in BestBuy.com's availability listings. I've checked BestBuy.com several times for new releases, gotten a goose egg, and then seen those titles on the shelf when I went anyway a few minutes later.
