Is there any logical pattern to this system, and do some prices eventually drop?
I don't think I've ever seen any MoC DVD for less than $10. Are you getting the US and UK prices confused? There are a few MoC titles that run about 9 pounds (UK), which would be around $15, on CD WOW. And the high-end prices are about 14 pounds (UK), which as you point out is about $24-25. So the range is actually a bit narrower than you suggest.

That being said, MoC prices do seem to fall slightly after a title has been released for a few months, so TONI is likely to fall by about 1 or 2 pounds (UK) or about $2-$3. Also, it seems like the more stacked an MoC disc is, the more expensive it will be. For instance, SPIONE and SCANDAL have fewer extras than TONI and SAVAGE INNOCENTS (both of which feature commentaries), which probably explains the price difference.

I have to back Gypo on this one as I've seen 1-2 at 9.95 or so. Including Francesco Giullare Di Dio.

Well, I don't want to make a whole "thing" about this, so this'll be my last post on the price differences. But I really think it depends on whether your looking at UK or US price listings. For instance:

The price of Francesco giullare di Dio in US dollars: 13.95.

The price of Francesco giullare di Dio in pounds sterling: 7.99.

Perhaps the US prices do run below $10 when you use a combination of discount links AND coupons, but like I said, I've never seen any MoC titles regularly listed below $10 (US) on CD WOW.

Guess I should have been more clear. I was referring to the prices you get when you use the link(s) mentioned in this thread. As BuddhaWake says, Francesco Giullare is currently offered at $9.95, while several other MoC titles with the same list price -- some of which are older releases and/or with less special features -- are priced significantly higher, often hovering around $24. I'm just trying to figure out if there's any logic to this pricing...

Well I placed my first order for this site on the 19th and it still hasn't shipped. Any idea how long stuff usually takes to get out?

I ordered the donnie darko region 2 tin.

some stuff could take a little while. send them an email. On another note, my first warehouse experience went fine. I received the Miike box set yesterday. So it took like a week total. not bad at all.

Just report my experience of using warehouse.
4/30 ordered DJANGO REINHARDT - Swing De Paris $20.88 (before discount) (CD Boxset)
(vs. $20.55 @ cduniverse and $26.19 @ Amazon)
5/6 Dispatch notified by email

It's faster than what I expected (usually 30 days mentioned in the website). In search for DJANGO REINHARDT's recordings, I found some prices are even cheaper than cduniverse.com or Amazon.com. For that, I'm quite happy.

However, some albums don't have track listing or image so it may have trouble to choose the one you want (the release date info is usually incorrect). Plus the searching engine sucks.

Don't know DJANGO, but at first I thought it was some spaghetti westerns I wasn't aware of.

They are fast. Much faster than DDD and they're not arriving from under 500 miles away.

But you may hear of his music.
Minor Swing appeared in The Matrix and Chocolat. Also others in The Matrix Revolutions and The Aviator.

Might as well chime in on my first warehouse order, I ordered "Calvaire aka Ordeal" & "Tzameti" (this one in recognition of DVDTalker splattii's enthusiastic post). They took about 10 days to ship but they are now on their way. The lag between ordering and shipping also happens with the main site from time to time so it was no big deal.

Did anyone notice that the warehouse prices seem to have gone up? The items I ordered above used to be $24.15 each but now are $25.35.

They've got the just released R2 UK "Napola" in the warehouse but it's at $25.35 so I might just wait for the R1 due in a month. Note: "Napola" also appears on the main site but it is the German release without English subtitles.

Sure thing BuddhaWake, I'll keep you posted (FYI: I don't expect to receive them until maybe Friday).

In other matters:

Finally.....the awaited (at least by me) price drops on a couple of newer Masters of Cinema titles. Both "The Prisoner of Shark Island" and "Toni" are down to $17.95 (after discount). After discount prices used to be $21.95 and $23.95 respectively.

Is anybody else having problems with CDWOW? It keeps declining my credit card when I've tried to order the past 2 days...and yet I just ordered a couple days ago and it went fine. And my card is far from being maxed out, so I don't know what the problem would be?

Yes. I had this authorization problem with CdWow last year. Whenever this happened I had to call my credit-card company and they would do some magic to enable the retry to get through. I have not had this for a while but then I have not placed any order in recent weeks/days (so knock on wood).

Ricky Gervais' "Extras" is coming up $9.95. A great show and I assume HBO won't price it sub $10

Ordered it along with "The Prisoner of Shark Island" back on the 9th but it still hasn't been shipped....so you're not alone. I did receive "The Prisoner of Shark Island" some time back.

As for other stuff, right now I'm again playing the price-drop waiting game on the two newer Masters of Cinema releases: "Abhijan" and "Kwaidan"
