Well tuck it back until the 18th. That goes for everyone!

I'm making sure to save every trailer and TV spot available in the likely event that they don't make it to the eventual DVD. It's hard finding high-res versions of the commercials.

I'm doing my best, man, but it's becoming increasingly problematic.

As for your commercial routine, that is a DAMNED fine, idea, sir.

I guess nothing that can't be learned from the most recent ads, if you know what I mean. Otherwise, that was an excellent review, especially in terms of building anticipation for the film.

I'm looking forward to the film, but I have a problem with everyone assuming that Ledger's Joker is going to be better than Jack's. Unlikely, in my opinion.

I can't even compare the two. I'm looking at it as a different interpretation (I prefer Ledger's style in the commercials, personally).

Because based on the ads Ledger's Joker seems to be much more based on the comic book that Jack's. Jack Nicholson's Joker looks like Jack Nicholson with some makeup on. When I look at Ledger, I don't see him in that role. Hell, if it were never announced who was playing the Joker, I can't imagine anyone guessing it was Ledger.

As for the Rolling Stone review, he doesn't give many 4/4 ratings. I read somewhere that he only gave like 4 or 5 movies a perfect rating last year.

< Lex > WRONG!!! < / Lex > At least for me anyway, Ledger's performance in the trailers is better than Jacks whole movie. Not that Jacks is bad, but I'm going to prefer Ledger's.

Nah. In the comics, the Joker tends to smile.

Well, in the comics I don't recall him being as campy as Jack's version.

Obviously they are going to be two distinct versions, but I think Ledger's is going to be closest to the comic book as possible.

Anyone excited about the score soundtrack being released soon? Judging from the trailer (I know it's not much to give a thorough impression but I bought There will be Blood soundtrack based on the trailer), it sounds amazingly dark, complex and epic. Could be another powerful Zimmer score.

I'm buying it as soon as I can.

Actually, the thought of hearing Zimmer do his thing with Batman a second time is kind of vomit inducing, but to each their own.

Also, what you hear in the trailers is music from "Begins" anyway.

I have always liked a Zimmer score-Gladiator, Pirates 1 to 3, Hannibal-all classical sounding but very moody.

Klaus Badelt did Pirates 1 if I recall correctly, Zimmer just rehashed alot of Badelt's themes for the sequels.

That score may have had Badelt's name on it first, but it was made by several people: Klaus Badelt, Ramin Djawadi, James Dooley, Nick Glennie-Smith, Steve Jablonsky, Blake Neely, James McKee Smith, and Geoff Zanelli. With the overall synthetic sounds established and produced by Zimmer.

Many of the scores made by Zimmer's clones in his factory (former name Media Ventures, current name Remote Control) are of Zimmer's own sound with other people imitating and adapting it for other movies, with Zimmer being an overseer of the projects.

Hopefully they don't name any tracks "Death of Qui-Gon Jin", or anything absurd like that ...
