Wonder Woman isn't American.

I know. Did Diana Prince/Wonder Women speak with an Amazonian accent during the old TV series?

Wonder Woman is Greek. An Israeli accent would be closer to Greek than an American accent would be.

She could have bulked up more. I partly blame the directors. When it comes to women, hollywood asks for skinny/sixpack women. IRL Athletic women aren't generally super low bodyfat (unless they are competing in weight category events).

Jessica Biel in Blade is the only one I recall having a somewhat believable build (her upper body musculature was fine, she just needed a bit more fat).

Well that's obvious regarding unknown actresses, point was people have thrown out a lot of other suggestions and I haven't seen anyone that I feel is leaps above Gadot. I'm a fan and don't see a reason to specifically want an unknown, just someone as close to the part as possible, and i'm guessing it's pretty hard to find the combination I mentioned previously.

Maybe, although I also think it's harder for women to get the tone that you see the way they're drawn in comic books that it is for men too.

I am not talking about the tone in comics, I am talking about the build of of real life athletic women.

I was referring to the same thing when I mentioned the comic book look, I don't think i've seen women transform that quickly in to that kind of an athletic build that i've seen men do for movies when they just need to bulk up or add muscle. Maybe it's a Hollywood thing, but it's also not the type of shape that I think most women care to get in generally either.

Re: Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) (D: Snyder; S: Gadot)

I don't think most projects actively push their actresses to go that route. A woman can just as easily get an athletic build akin to WW as a man can get a Superman build. Unless that body is naturally made to be thin/skinny, it should be fine and dandy. It takes time though. Many studios allow actors to get that frame. I don't think WB pushed enough for Gadot get that build. Yes, she's fit and tone and etc. But she's not WW. I don't think they're going after that. Reason for that? Fuck if I know. I can guess but I don't really know. Sexually speaking a lot of culture doesn't go for that visual in a woman. Thin is in. Or Gadott is just body type that can't get that much bigger.

The idea that a woman's body takes the building of more athletic/muscular structure than a male is complete BS. There can be many factors from one or the other in a specific set but it's not hard to build a muscular frame like Supes or WW if you got shit straightened out to build it.

I've had female friends say its more difficult to get a 6 pack then men since women have naturally a higher level of body fat.

In any case i don't disagree there's less of a desire for that build, even the Jessica Biel level of fit.

I fully expect it to be a total Robocop-type oversight. In the original 1987 Robocop, why didn't anyone try to kill him by aiming directly at his unguarded mouth? Same thing here.

That's a very small part of the body for RoboCop. Much like Batman.... it's always easier to aim for a bigger element of the body or even the head.

True, but I am not arguing for a six pack on Gadot, I am asking for a higher muscle mass+fat on her. Look at the sprinter, she does not have a six pack. Fit does not mean a six pack. The only thing a six pack means is low bodyfat.

There is no reason for WW to be ripped.

Gina Carano when she was not competing in a weight class:

Why do real-world cops wear bulletproof vests?

Yeah, a lot of people greatly overestimate how difficult it is to precisely aim a gun. They think shooting a gun is like a video game. It's not like a video game at all.

Hitting a small target (like Batman's mouth) would be incredibly difficult for 95% of the people out there. It's also substantially more difficult to hit a moving target than a stationary target. Batman isn't going to be standing still. Really only a professional sniper is precise enough to hit a small moving target.

There's also a joke that Robin wears bright colors to draw the fire off Batman, but I won't go there...

Gina Carano when she was not competing in a weight class:
Which is fine, I was just replying to Snake's comment about there being no difference between a man and woman's bodies with regards to getting fit, not your preference for Gadot's build for Wonder Woman. I don't know if it's true or a myth or too dependent on the individual. Could Gadot develop the kind of larger build that Carano does? She seems slimmer in general and it comes back to me just wondering out loud how much she could have bulked up.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree that it would be great to have a more physical/athletic looking Wonder Woman.

Except that Gal Gadot is a pretty shitty actress and has no screen presence. All she has is a pretty face. So they got someone who neither looks the part or can act the part.

And while in F&F 6, Gina did all the work of the two!

Is she a shitty actress? I've only seen her in a F&F movie, and they didn't exactly give her much to work with.

How could she top these fine actresses?
