I kind of enjoyed these at first but the more I see of their newer stuff... the more I begin to dislike them.

At this point, I don't think Zach Snyder is capable of a great movie. A good one, maybe, and that's the best this can ever be, just "good", it can't be great.

I agree that Snyder won't be responsible for a great movie, but that doesn't mean this movie can't be great. If he's willing to accept help from Affleck and his writer, it stands a shot. Snyder was willing to listen to Nolan and back off on the slow motion for Man of Steel. Affleck seems invested in making his Batman movies good, so I think there's good reason to be optimistic.

I'll give this "Everything Wrong With" credit that it's not like 45 minutes long. I can usually never bring myself to watch them because of the length.

Watchmen may have well have been a shot for shot remake of the graphic novel. I really like that movie so I won't take anything away from Snyder for it but I need to see something else good from him before I can call him a good filmmaker.

Snyder's great with visuals - he'd be one of the best cinematographers and visual artists out there. He's just not a good storyteller, and that's what a director needs to be above all else.

Let's not forget about Sucker Punch, which was pretty rough no matter how you decide to interpret what's going on. That's unfiltered Snyder storytelling there.

Snyder seems like he's a cool guy but he's so good at one spectrum of being a director that he is so easily swayed to something that is cool but fails at injecting a soul into it.
Really? David fucking Goyer writing a script solo? That's a red flag for anyone.
At least we have Terrio on this one. Hopefully he cleans the hell out of it. I'm glad he's rewriting Justice League too. Apparently he impressed WB w/ his work on this film. I do think Affleck's clout helped getting some quality writing into this, instead of just being a coincidence to have Terrio again. Affleck is a filmmaker mostly now. And I think he's really taking serious in what he does. So I hope that infects the WB halls w/ this property.
Look at MoS. There's so much stuff in that another filmmaker could bleed gold out of it but Snyder fails at getting it. It's all action and imagery.

The Honest Trailers are pretty good. That one worked really well if you ask me.

Talk about throwing in the kitchen sink...
http://shanlianonbatman.com/2015/05/...ng-el-mayimbe/
Superhero news scooper Umberto Gonzalez, a.k.a. El Mayimbe, dropped by the most recent episode of the Shanlian On Batman podcast to make it "official" that Doomsday will be appearing in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Gonzalez compared the super villains’s role in the film to what Darth Vader served as in Star Wars. The Dark Lord of the Sith was the muscle to Grand Moff Tarkin, who Mayimbe considers to be the main villain since he was the brains behind the Death Star. Similarly, Doomsday will be Dawn of Justice’s muscle, while Lex Luthor will serve as the film’s main villain, which we’ve already known about for awhile.
Gonzalez also mentioned that from what he’s heard, the live-action Doomsday looks "incredible," which hopefully means he looks similar to his comic book counterpart, extruding bones and all. So if this is legitimate, the fight between Superman and this monstrosity may look like it sprung from the pages of a comic book. Doomsday was first rumored to appear in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice last year, and since then, reports of his role in the film have included a climactic battle with Superman and him somehow originating from General Zod’s corpse.

I know a lot of folks hated Doomsday from the comics and the whole Death of Superman gimmick, but I would love to see the character on film. Not sure about including him here though in an already crowded cast (just like any other new casting announcement).
