Dalton would be awesome if true.

Since DC and Marvel like to copy each other, maybe they will copy Iron Man and change Alfred into A.L.F.R.E.D.

I'm looking forward to who's going to be cast as Catwoman, The Penguin, The Joker, and The Riddler and then hearing the news that Superman has been cut from this new Batman movie.

For fucks sake WB, way to spend 30 years getting a new Superman franchise going just to cut it short by making him a sidekick in the Man of Steel sequel.

So Spider-Man 3 is the worst?

I could think of a ton more worse than those: Fantastic Four 1 & 2, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Green Lantern, Green Hornet, just to name a few.

Like Daredevil, wasn't Elektra's director's cut a huge improvement over the theatrical cut?

Elektra was pretty bad, the reason Spider-man 3 generally wins out for me is it has established characters, does absolutely nothing with Sandman and Venom, and all the characters regress into pre-teens for their love triangle. It actually makes me cringe in pain, something very few movies make me do.

No, it wasn't. It didn't really add much. Three minutes of pointless crap.

Although I haven't seen the director's cut of Elektra, I've read that it improved nothing. It apparently added 3 minutes of useless new footage and was widely criticized because the DVD looked like shit compared to the theatrical cut DVD.

This is how I feel, too! Superman gets a reboot, and all we can talk about is Batman for the sequel!

Granted, we have no idea what sort of role or how prominent Batman will have in this movie at this point. I'm hoping it's minimal to supporting.

"Spider-Man 3" could've been executed much better, no doubt there...but I still think the main problem was Venom being forced into the story. Raimi didn't want him, and from what I've heard, Avi Arad pressured him into it, the film suffering long-term as a result.

I've wanted to do a fan edit for a while, where the very last shot would be Venom in the church, screaming at the camera. Most other aspects of that story would've been kept in the background.

^^ Right, everything is just speculation at this point but if they've gone to the trouble of hiring a big name like Affleck as Batman and now it seems that Alfred is going to play a role it's becoming clear that Batman isn't just going to come to Metropolis to help Superman for a brief stint. It looks like a good portion of the movie will focus on him.

I'm gonna assume that's a joke since Alfred was once a British secret agent.

It's going to be interesting to see what they name this follow-up. Will Batman be in the title somewhere... would World's Finest be a marketable title? It certainly isn't going to called Man of Steel 2 if you're co-starring Batman.

Yeah, it was a joke. And a spectacular one if I do say so myself.

In all three Batman movies, I waited for Christian Bale to call Michael Caine "Alfie." Never happened. That's why the Chris Nolan movies suck!!!!

I'm guessing it'll be called World's Finest but the text will be small in comparison to a huge merged version of the Batman and Superman emblems.

Well that is because not is it just Batman, but its Batman solo franchise with Affleck, Affleck potentially directing JLA and also directing Batman Franchise. He would essentially be the 'new' Nolan.

Also the whole compare and contrast between Nolan and Bale's Batman and Affleck's Batman
