We are on our 5th Batman actor in 8 films in the modern era. Pretty much anyone can be Batman at this point. To hell with pre-conceived notions. All that matters is if the final product is entertaining. I'm optimistic that it will be.

First, I am allowed to change my mind on my own opinions. I also recently changed my mind from disliking Man of Steel to liking it. Oh, the shock! Oh, the horror! Such a shill I am for Marvel!

Also, that quote goes against your argument that I'm a Marvel shill, so way to undercut yourself there.

I still don't know why you have such a hard on for me, but if you're going to try and insult me with things that aren't actually insults, and then dismantle your own argument, well, be my guest.

re: Untitled Superman & Batman Film (2015) (D: Snyder; S: Cavill, Affleck)

So not sure if it's been mentioned but I've read a couple places that supposedly Timothy Dalton is wanted by Zack Snyder to play Alfred in Superman & Batman. I've always really liked him as an actor and always really loved him as Bond and think his take on the character is pretty underrated. It could be interesting seeing him in a role like this and I'm wondering if they're considering someone like him if they want to play up the MI-6 aspect of the Alfred character more in the next series of Batman films or what.

LOL at going from this movie was is awesome you are going to be in for a thrill of a ride to it's not a good movie in a year.

You are a Marvel shill I don't care what you felt about TDKR at one point.

Anyway I don't have a hard on for you but you come off extremely pretentious and you love to shit on other people's opinions a lot. The shit you pulled on me with the Best albums of 2012(don't remember the exact name of that thread) thread where I listed Lana Del Rey's album and you just singled that out was extremely uncalled for. You don't respect other people's opinions at all but I know you'll come up with some snarky reply and brush it off as I don't know what I'm talking about because that is the way you come off to me.

Cosmic Book News rose from the ashes where IESB fell, apparently

I like Timothy Dalton as Alfred though.

Agreed. It would be an inspiring choice, actually.

No joke, for a while there I thought you had decent taste in movies. Now I don't know what direction up is.

Joking aside, Man of Steel was awful.

I can understand disliking it, but awful? I can think of way more superhero movies that I'd have to deem as awful if Man of Steel is the barometer for awful superhero movies.

Yeah, damn opinions. I've seen some that were less professionally made that were more entertaining. MoS was a 2 hour plus movie trailer (half a trailer for a new Superman movie, half a trailer for, I don't know, Independence Day 2), nothing carries any gravity, and it was just brutally uninteresting to me.

Sure, I'd rather watch it again than Spider-man 3, but that's because that one makes me actively cringe.

Wasn't questioning your right to an opinion - relax.

So Spider-Man 3 is the worst?

I could think of a ton more worse than those: Fantastic Four 1 & 2, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Ghost Rider, Green Lantern, Green Hornet, just to name a few.

I think Spider-Man 3 is hurt by the high expectations set by 2. X-Men Origins: Wolverine was probably worse, buy following X-Men 3 my expectations were already rock bottom.

I agree with all these except X-Men Origins: Wolverine, it's not that bad of a movie just has terrible CGI and Deadpool was used very poorly.

Yes, upon seeing it more times (which I had to do for work), the massive flaws in TDKR, which I didn't notice the first time because I was so swept up in it being a new Nolan movie, a new Batman movie, the conclusion to the Dark Knight trilogy, became apparent to me.

Then evidently you don't know what a shill is, nor have you actually read most of my posts, just the ones you think you can use to make a dig at me.

Oh Mary, don't be coy. I made one comment, and ever since then you've made a point of shitting on my posts. I don't follow you around and shit on yours all the time. Let's face it, you want me. Just embrace it and all of your hate will turn to love.

Almost all the supporting cast was horribly used. Gambit was pointless. Stupid action sequences. I agree though, it's not that bad, but it wasn't that good either.

I'm probably one of the few fans of X-Men: The Last Stand. I rank it above the first X-film and toe-to-toe with X2. Storm is finally given something to do and Wolverine & Rogue's story arcs reach logical conclusions - The loner becomes a teacher and leader while the girl who hated her powers, loses them. I think the way Dark Phoenix was handled worked extremely well and that last scene between her and Wolverine always brings a tear to my eye.

Plus, it has a great score by John Powell. One of my favorites.

Oh I agree it's not perfect film by any means but I enjoyed it enough.
