Denzel Washington or Idris Elba as Lex Luthor? It's possible: http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/299...casting-rumors

Idris Elba would be awesome, he can be very intimidating.

I'd rather see him play John Stewart/Green Lantern.

I like Elba as Lex Luthor. Stringer Bell had some similarities with that character.

Lately, Denzel Washington seems to be a practitioner of the Al Pacino school of acting: yell everything.

I was just about to comment on that. Elba would have to bring back the Stringer Bell character for Luthor.

He could lecture an employee about a 40 degree day.

Denzel would not be as much fun as Elba, I guarantee it.

Idris Elba would be a great Lex Luthor. I still wouldn't mind Jon Hamm though.

I guess it can't be any worse than Kevin Spacey. If they do go in that direction, I would prefer Denzel in the role.

I know I'll catch shit for saying this probably but I still hate when characters get unnecessary race/gender changes in movies for no apparent reason. I mean if that article is true it sounds like they're essentially doing it just to create diversity among the cast but even so there's other villains or heroes of different nationalities that could be used. Also even though I know he'll be used at some point I really don't care to see Lex Luthor at this point.

I hope they change more character's races and genders, too many white dudes in comic book lore.

I was waiting for the Enraged Internet White Guyz to go bugfuck over these rumors, but then I remembered it's perfectly acceptable if a black guy plays a white VILLAIN.

I'm not enraged by it I just think it's stupid and doesn't serve much of a purpose.

But the whiteness of Lex Luthor is essential, everybody knows he's boring as fuck and can't dance!

I'd much rather see Bryan Cranston as Lex.

I dont care what race plays a character, I just want them to play it well. Will Smith as Jim West sucked ass.
I prefer Idris Elba over Denzel 10 fold.
