She's got a very pretty face, at least. But that's it.

Yeah not here, but on Facebook announcements, news articles, and comic sites people are really picking her apart.
She is too thin though. And her acting abilities aren't horrible but they aren't mind blowingly great either so it reeks of the typical Hollywood bullshit of having every actress onscreen be less than a hundred pounds
I find it funny though how many people used to always say that Linda Carter was the perfect Wonder Woman, and looked great in the role, but she was hardly muscular or amazonian.

It was a different time and Linda Carter did look like her comic book counterpart. She obviously looks a lot different in the comics now. Modern interpretations by the artists today are more athletic looking.

She's pretty, but IMO, not THAT pretty, if you put her in a lineup of Hollywood Hotties, judging on faces alone, she's certainly not who I would pick out. But you're right about that scene, that swimsuit is NOT flattering on her, especially her ass

which really makes you wonder just what it was the producers of the film are getting with her that they wouldn't have got a half dozen other actress of note who are already versed in the physicality the role would eventually (not sure this will be anything more than a cameo here) require?
BTW, as far as the subject of the casting couch- I always think about this quote from one of the writers of 48hrs. Selections from his production diaries were posted on MCN years ago and they make very interesting reading.
This morning went with Walter and production designer John Vallone to look for the exterior of the hotel from which Ganz will escape...in LA. This will be complicated by the fact that Rosalie, the little girl that Ganz, the bad guy, will use to blackmail Luther with will be snatched on screen much earlier in the film. Walter and I commiserate about now re-extending the girls part. One of the producers dearly wanted to fuck the actress who has been cast.
Walter and I noted that she has weary readiness to go along with whatever sexual horrors and favor giving would have to be visited on her on the way to having a career...Walter, that afternoon, did grudgingly confide his conviction that at the end of the day most actresses are whores. I can honestly say he said it somewhat sadly, as if he'd hoped or wished it hadn't been true, but that every actress he'd suspected it not to be true of had wound up disappointing him.

So today we've learned:
1) Most women are physically incapable of putting on significant muscle mass
2) Most actresses are whores
and most likely
3) Girl parts terrify more than a few of you.

And I'll try to make that my last misogynistic post of the day.

Edit: I forgot to mention that it was in the comics. WW said she doesn't wear make-up.

It's one of her super powers. It tends to go unnoticed because most TV and movie women have that same ability. It looks like they go to bed or exit the shower wearing makeup but in fact that's their natural complexion.

I think Gadot is great and should do well as WW.
But I had thought she wanted a break from movies to raise a family - wasn't that why she - y'know - in FF6?

Also, while it may make sense to step away from an ensemble role to spend time with your family, turning down Wonder Woman is a totally different story.
