The trailer had me up until they showed horses riding into battle, on top of a Star Destroyer, in space.

This goes out for anyone who loved the trailer, as I don't want this to come off as combative. What are you seeing that I'm missing? It feels like ROTJ 2.0. Rey/Kylo battle, a Space Battle between The Resistance and First Order, and a final showdown with Palpatine in whatever form. Nothing feels new to me, other than all of these same storylines from ROTJ will take place in new settings that are bigger in scope (that look cool cause its new).

Some cool visuals and the score is nice. Those are my main take aways from the trailer. There’s not a lot there to really get me excited as there’s really no hints at the plot or anything.

That’s a cool poster. I would hope Disney movie rewards has it available.

The site for the independent Atmos theater in town kept crashing so I gave up and just went for IMAX 2-D at the nearby Regal. Fandango crashed a couple times as well, but I finally ended up with seats for 7 pm Friday.
Now I’ll exit the thread while people continue to complain about the previous movies.

Got IMAX 3D tix right after they went on sale... great seats. Much easier to get tickets for this than Endgame.

Good trailer, IMO. I didn't care for the horses but the scale of the ships was cool (as we typically only get them in space) and 3PO's line kinda hit my heart-strings

Something to think about with this trailer, from Forbes:
Meanwhile, I thought it was a good trailer. C-3PO's line and the tagline of "The saga will end, the story lives forever" got me
The New ‘Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker’ Trailer Is Not For You
The third and final trailer to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is premiering tonight during an ABC football game for the same reason Disney tends to drop its family-friendly trailers during Good Morning America. The success of Lord of the Rings, The Dark Knight, Guardians of the Galaxy and The Force Awakens is explicitly linked to getting the non-fans to be almost as excited or interested as the fans. The goal will be to convince football fans and general audiences that Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is the one movie to see this Christmas if you only see one movie. That is of ever-increasing importance since it’s entirely possible that an increasing number of moviegoers will indeed see only one movie this holiday season.
This final Rise of Skywalker trailer will be aimed already excited or curious Star Wars fan, but at folks who will get their first real look at the ninth Star Wars episode during the halftime portion of the football game

That scene of Ren walking out of the water could have been badass if he had the helmet on - instead it's Adam Driver pouting. The hell?
