If there's some actual news about TRoS and this thread is still closed, hit the report button to have it reopened. This round and round crap is ridiculous and doesn't belong here.

I will be getting tickets on Monday. Will A-List work for advance ticket purchases?

Yes as long as you have spots available, you're good.

Tickets actually go on sale late Monday

Tickets for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker will become available following the halftime of ESPN’s Monday Night Football game between the New England Patriots and New York Jets, after Disney drops the final trailer for the film. The game starts at 8:15PM ET.

I live in a small town and both Thursday 7PM showings for TFA and TLJ had about 12 people in the theater so I don't have to worry about selling out. This had better be one humdinger of a trailer because right now I just don't care really.

Anyone see showtimes for a Star Wars marathon in their areas? In NYC it’s just at one theater. (One with recliners, thankfully)

Dark Rey's double-bladed lightsaber folds in like a V and out like a staff.

Is that similar to any medieval or Japanese weapons?

So tickets should be onsale around 10pm eastern? I'm 6 hours ahead right now... debating if I should even get up early to try and get them after how bad Fandango/AMC was with Endgame.

Trailer supposed to drop tonight during Monday Night Football. I would expect a Youtube version shortly thereafter. I already saw a quick gif from it on Twitter, and it was a bit of fanservice in the best possible way.

Really interested to see if they show The Emperor so it gives us a clue to how he is returning. I still say this is a Hail Mary by JJ that will be either brilliant or be utterly ridiculous.

I'm mostly curious about the trailer to see if it matches up with the leaked synopsis on reddit.

Seems like IMAX and Dolby are selling out. I did get a regular 2D showing at 730pm on the 19th.

Re: Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker (12/20/19, W/D: J.J. Abrams)

I was waiting in line for a while for AMC. Got tickets at my local Cinemark XD theater instead. Almost forgot that I still have that membership there. Was able to use three of my tickets that I had accrued since I last went to a movie there (to see Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and got another ticket reduced to 8.99. So for 5 of us it cost me $29.49 at a Premium cinema. Not too bad.

Never been to the XD theater. I guess it's kinda like the Dolby?
