3D only release means I skip it in the theater. And this would only be the second sequel, but I guess you can't expect much from someone that can't spell "rumor".

Chris Stewart who runs Proton Charging is Canadian so that is the correct spelling of rumour for him.

It's the most reliable GB news site out there.

Why the negativity towards 3D? Unless they go out of their way to add a bunch of gimmicky 3D effects (which most hopefully wont) I don't see how it affects the movie.

I can't stand watching movies that way. If there are non-3D showings, I'm for it. Otherwise, it'll wait until BD.

The new 3D blu-ray discs can be watched in flat 2D if you choose; you'll even be able to watch it that way on your present equipment.

This movie automatically failed with the news of Ivan Reitman directing it. So do it in 6D with Smell-o-Vision and vibrating nut scratchers for all I care, Reitman hasn't made a decent movie in decades.

The on-again/off-again/on-again news about "Ghostbusters 3" is enough to drive a fan crazy. First it's happening. Then it isn't. Then it is again. Then the writers release a movie, "Year One," that turns out to be pretty lousy. Then series star Bill Murray says he's not interested, which doesn't bode well since a sequel depends on the approval of the three original 'Busters and director Ivan Reitman. Now, star Harold Ramis has confirmed that yes, it really is happening, and a Christmas 2012 release is the plan. He said that in an interview with ABC.
