What shows have you STOPPED watching?

I really wish The Blacklist would get canceled. The show is ridiculous, but Spader is amazing. I hate every other character on the show, but Reddington and Dembe are interesting. Spader deserves an award for this show because I have never seen one actor keep such an awful show afloat.

Long overdue, but I have finally stopped watching Hell's Kitchen, and I'm not looking back.

Once Upon A Time. I actually started up again with the last season (the addition of characters from the Frozen universe did it for me), but I am out...normally, this would be a show I watch in the background while playing Peggle, or whatever, but I have too many "background" shows still on my tivo as is.
I will be cleaning up more shows soon enough...I believe I have something like over 50 (probably closer to 60+) season passes between my two tivos, which gives me lots of room to clear up more space on my dvrs.

Schitt's Creek. I am a big fan of Eugene Levy and Chris Elliott as they are funny on the show. But the kids are just not funny and really ruined the show. Its a funny premise, but I gave it a few shows and then bailed.

I quit The Blacklist last season for the same reasons everyone else has said.
I gave up Person of Interest when it got too cartoony, last year I think.
I quit Last Man on Earth after 3 shows and American Crime after 2 shows.
Elementary is on the bubble for me. I have liked it so far, but I think they are running out of ideas and I like Forever better, which satisfies my weekly requirement for all-knowing British guy with hot female sidekick.

Blacklist - Even Spader/Reddington's intense acting/character became caricaturish. I found myself cracking up when he blew on Berlin's face.
Elementary - Couldn't suffer through another dreary Mycroft episode. Jonny Lee Miller looks confused half the time.
Supernatural - Felt like it's been running on fumes for years..

I can't really blame you, the show had decent stretches last season but this year has devolved even further into rote formula. If you have been watching since the first season the show now feels like a parody of itself.

So far this season I've dropped:
The Blacklist (formula became stale)
Pretty Little Liars (the concept has just gotten too ridiculous and is getting dumber every season)
Girls (characters have gotten even *more* annoying each season)
Portlandia (repetitive at this point; too much reliance on bad recurring characters)
The Americans (just wasn't hooking me back to return each week)
Gotham (love many elements of the show, but as a whole it just didn't have the draw to keep me interested)
American Horror Story (but I'll give the next season a shot)

I feel like I am close to dropping Madam Secretary. On paper, I should love that show, but I find myself surfing the web and doing other things every time it is on.
Good premise but I find the weekly plots tedious.

To me, the humor comes from the characters, which happen to do a lot of improv during recordings. I think it's very funny, but I understand it's limited appeal.
The show I've STOPPED watching (finally), halfway through this current season, after hating it since it's second season, is Walking Dead. I stuck it out, hoping it'll get better, but it didn't - just so thoroughly boring, and repetitive. What a fucking waste of time that was.

You know what, halfway though season 20 (right when it went to HD), is when Simpsons got better. True, the show went on a steady decline starting at around the 11th season. But it was halfway through season 20, when the show went HD, that it picked up, and while not as great as seasons 2 through 8, the last 5 seasons have been more than solid, and way better than seasons 12 through 19.

This season? It started OK but really hasn't gotten beyond OK at all. Like Agent Carter, it feels so bloated and artificial; "Once Upon A Time" in the Marvel Universe. I was excited for its return at first, but everything in the last 3 episodes has generated a tremendous shrug from our household.

I simply haven't liked the direction Agents of Shield has taken and the writing has gotten pretty mediocre this season. I smell a lot of ABC interference and a bigger push for Girl Power! in season two. If it wasn't connected to the Marvel film universe owned by Disney, the show would already be canceled.

Black Sails - again, the entire current season was piling up on the tivo, so I deleted my season pass and the backlogged eps.
I am this close to nuking Gotham and Agents Of Shield. I am resisting the itch to delete Arrow (I am approaching 7+ eps piling up on the tivo), and simply letting The Flash be the CW DC show that I enjoy watching during the week it actually airs. I am enjoying the heck out of The Flash, and will probably give the spin-off a fair shot at catching my interest.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
I think I'm done with American Horror Story. I liked the start of the season but it's become a chore to finish. The characters aren't particularly interesting and there isn't much of a main storyline tying things together.
The last few have been sitting on my DVR for weeks, but I'd like to finish out the season. So unless these last few are uncharacteristically awesome, it's going to get dropped.

I was late getting on the American idol bandwagon. Started watching when the XFactor debuted. But I've given up on this season. They changed the format so much it doesn't even feel like the same show.
