What shows have you STOPPED watching?

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
For what it's worth, the recent episodes are some of the best of the series. There's an awesome homage to foreign cinema (I won't spoil which country's) in one, and the last episode, #8, is being hailed as the best episode yet. (Which I agree with, completely.) The pace is slow, yes, but the story, cinematography, and acting seem to get better by the episode.

^Thanks for that. I was going to venture into the Westworld thread, but I figured that was just asking for spoilers.
Based on your comment, I will get back to it. I do have the episodes on my TiVo.

I think that my interest in The Walking Dead waned after Negan's arrival and I haven't even seen S8 yet. I think that next time TWD comes up in the rotation, we'll skip the last episode of S6 (with the bat), and S7 altogether. I like Jeffrey Dean Morgan but I don't like Negan and what he subjected everyone to. I just wanted to see Rick and his crew kill (and occasionally get eaten by) zombies.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
I currently have 8 episodes of The Walking Dead and 8 episodes of Fear the Walking Dead rotting away on my DVR. I have really just lost all interest in both shows and have been contemplating deleting them all and moving on.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
I tried watching a new Netflix show "The Rain" and made it through barely 30 minutes of episode one. The dubbing (it's a European show) is awful, and the little kids, especially the boy, are annoying as hell.
Show has received universal praise, but it's not for me.

I finally bailed on The Walking Dead. I had the 2nd part of Season 8 on my DVR and tried watching the first episode and the show is utterly boring now. I deleted it from my DVR and have moved on as the show is a shell of itself from just 2 years ago.

I haven't watched the show but I'm pretty sure there's a time jump early on and the kids grow up, based on the trailers.

I used to watch Ray Donovan, Shameless, Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, I have not watched the last season of each one of those shows.
I am struggling to finish Legion, maybe give it another try over the summer.

You can watch it in the original Danish without the atrocious dubbing.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
Also, yes...streaming shows that you have given up on are fair game in this thread because now that I think about it I gave up on 13 Reasons Why because when I tried to get back into the swing of things and started up episode 7 a couple weekends back it did not take long for me to realize I might enjoy watching paint dry more than this show (its pacing has always felt off to me...slow shows can still be paced so they are extremely satisfying to watch, this is not one of those shows).
Unlike a show on my tivo I do not have to delete to make space but the odds that I will finish S1 and get into S2 anytime in the near future is slim to none.
Also, I cannot believe that I was excited to get Hulu through Sprint at the beginning of the year to specifically watch The Handmaid's Tale and now it turns out to be a show I do not care to watch. I watched ep 1 of season 1 more than 2 months back and I have no desire to get back on the horse.

I finally lost all interest in Elementary and stopped watching this new season. The producers have been very stubborn with the show's themes and I finally had enough of the same arcs getting repeated over and over.

This season has actually been pretty good so far, IMO. The large story arc is pretty interesting; much better than the stuff with Shinwell.

I gave up on Blackish about 1/3 of the way into the most recent season. Way too "very special episode". It's a shame, because parts of it were still funny (mostly at the office) but not enough to offset the constant drama elements that seem to have become integral to the show since the latter half of last season.
Oh, and yeah, Walking Dead too. Just too slow with terrible writing.

The Simpson
I don't want to stop but I have so many episodes and they are taking up space and I might need to erase them.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
Cleaned out the DVR last night with shows I never got around to watching and didn't think I ever would. A few were some History channel series on WWII but also Good Girls. Summer is not a time to catch up on TV shows since we watch less this time of year, so out they go.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
As someone that has watched every season as they aired, this most recent season is completely and utterly not worth watching. It's evident they changed writing staffs once again in the past 18 months or so. Delete the last season without feeling guilty. This past year they truly became zombie Simpsons, I barely recognized the show's humor.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
Normally I never stop watching a show because I find most things entertaining and even if I did stop it could be because other shows beat it out. I'm behind on Walking Dead, Elementary, Macgyver, Legion, Shadowhunters, Blindspot, I did Fear The Walking Dead for 1.5 seasons. Not even sure it's worth watching up on a lot of those. Some I'm curious how it ends and may just check out that part.
There is just not enough time in the day to watch all these shows. I think I would prefer if shows were around thirteen episode seasons so it would be a two for one on most network programs. Would rather have more variety and ten shows for the cost of five.
I was just thinking the same thing. I'm a few episodes behind and I do like it. Just so many shows on and it feels like it's spinning in a circle.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
I gave up all the late-night talk shows. Too many commercials and too much politics. I used to flip around between them, but they are just boring now. Anything interesting that happens can be viewed as a separate clip anyway.

Re: What shows have you STOPPED watching?
I quit one episode into the last season of Ray Donovan. It was a combination of not really caring anymore and not being a big fan of Susan Sarandon.
I got about twenty minutes into the fourth episode of season two of Timeless (the Salem witch one) when I paused it to use the restroom. While there I decided I was tired and was going to bed. On my way back to the living room to turn off the TV I decided that I just didn't care and deleted that episode and all of the rest of them along with the series recording (if it ever comes back).
I haven't officially quit Homeland, but I haven't started watching the latest season yet.
Also, while I technically haven't missed an episode yet, I did delete my Riverdale series recording after the second season with no plans to continue.

I'm thisclose to giving up Archer, but I think there's just one more season left so I might as well stick it out.
