I think there were a couple of talented people. I for one am looking forward to the Rockstar CD they are putting out. The thing that sometimes happens is I like it when contestants sing existing songs. Then when they put out an album I hate all the songs. So it is really more than just their talent.

I would at least check out a CD by Jordis. JD is good as well. Marty I would if he would stop his screaming and just sing.

I will probably never buy an INXS album again, regardless of who wins this thing. My own personal preference would be a solo album by Jordis. While I think Marty is a talented guy, I generally am not a Nirvana-type fan. The only thing I would pay to hear or see by MiG is a broadway show...maybe.

I like JD. Of all the contestants in the last couple of weeks, he has the most "michael-hutchinsesque" voice.

Mig kind of looks like the love child of Willem Defoe and David Bowie, and has a decent six pack stomach. Apart from that, I'm pretty underwhelmed by him.

Marty has a weird emo feel to his singing and look. There's an odd attraction about his voice, but he's not right for INXS.

I actually did buy one of the albums Marty has out, just to support an unsigned band (at least I know my money is going to the musicians instead of the RIAA). I think it takes a lot to get an album out and sell it as well as he and his band have without any major backing. I like it--definately not INXS, but fun to listen to.

I think they should just go with JD. I think it makes the most sense, it looks like he's calmed down a bit. Most importantly he has a vocal style that would serve the band the best IMO. You know, you can hear guitars cranking, nice energy, in short--rock n' roll. I don't think the others quite possess that or can do it as well...

Just a quick thought: Marty was stupid to pick a song he's already done twice. I liked his idea of doing Pretty Vegas even though I'm sick of it. It would have been ballsy. Mig made a HUGE mistake choosing BR.

I thought the same of Marty's song choice -- he should have picked something new. I don't know what MiG is thinking -- yeah, I'm breaking away from my stage background, but let me do another one I did on stage for 2 years (and which Suzie did pretty well). I just hope J.D.'s song is not prophetic.

Is the final live? Or do we need to be on spoiler alert? On Sunday's VH1 show they already showed them spending their last night in the mansion.

JD - "You Can't Always Get What You Want"
Marty - I think the Pink Floyd song "Wishing You Were Here" (I could be wrong, though)
MiG - "Bohemian Rhapsody"

I would also assume they will once again for the last time perform an INXS song, I could be wrong, though. I am kinda excited for tomorrow night, which marks the first time a Reality Show has had that effect on me.

I think that JD is going to win. Apparently, if you believe some of the rumours floating around, JD and Mig were always targetted for the top two.

I gotta say, I'm excited too. I started out the season rooting for Jordis, Brandon and even Neal. I quickly realized that Neal was a no-talent hack and eventually got sick of Brandon. I saw Jordis lose her drive and, while I still think she's great, feel that she stopped giving good performances very early on.

Meanwhile, I started out thinking that Marty was a pretentious loser and that JD was an irredeemable jerk who couldn't sing. Some time around Mr. Brightside I started to warm to Marty, and was sold when he belted out Don't Change. And JD clearly toned down the attitude and started delivering better and better performances. He's never been great, but he's improved immensely.

Now going into the final episode, I feel that only JD has chosen a final song wisely. Marty is just repeating himself and Mig (who I've never liked) really set himself up for failure.

As for performances we've seen to date, the best ones (the ones I actually listen to on my iPod):

Jordis:
Baba O'Reilly
The Man Who Sold The World
Heart SHaped Box

Marty:
Mr. Brightside
Don't Change
Trees
Wish You Were Here

The best performance of an INXS song to date, however, was Suzie's Bitter Tears.

Too bad this isn't Rockstar: STP . . . Marty is my favorite, but I'm not sure he's right for the band, INXS. Unless INXS chooses him--them deciding they want to go that direction instead of dance rock would be really weird, but interesting.

For the past few weeks I think it's been obvious that they are going to choose JD.

Ugh, all the hints were correct. JD..Really not sure how I feel about it. He's not a bad singer but the guy is just such a tool. I didn't really think any of the final three were that great or could hold a candle to Michael. On a side note, that new song Easy Easy sounds EXACTLY like What You Need and Bitter Tears. Oh well, I'll have plenty of old INXS to listen to.

Now that was a pretty good finale, and I didn't really have a favorite, but both were deserving.

(Spoilered for the west coasters)
Spoiler:
INXS picked J.D. to front their band, and after sampling both J.D. and Marty fronting the band on one song each, you could have flipped a coin, but I think J.D. offered more sex appeal, and probably reminded INXS more of the Hutchence vibe than Marty does. And at least there was discernible vocal style differences between J.D. and Marty, and Marty sort of sounded British in his INXS song, and in others he's sung that had a lot of melodies, which might have worked against him in the end. Now I thought it was canny for INXS to offer Marty the opening act gig when they go on tour, and that gives them a backup option in case J.D. blows up in their face (you just never know).

Anyhow, congrats to INXS, it was a good ride.

Spoiler:
After having started off hating JD I ended up thinking that it really was a toss up. I was glad to see Mig out first, since he was absolutely not up to snuff. Marty and JD both did great but JD did sort of "click" with them better. Cardiff Giant is right about Easy Easy. It definitely sounds like a conglomeration of old songs. It's gonna be tough for them to make music that sounds like it needs to be made after such a long absence. Marty might have been a better pick if they wanted to really stretch, but JD is probably a more familiar thing, which will work when playing their greatest hits on tour. Yeah, there's no comparison to M.H., who really was the epitome of a rock frontman, but that's ok.

As for next year, what the hell was she talking about? Stone Temple Pilots? Blind Melon? Soundgarden? Van Halen? What can it be?

Worst.
Decision.
Ever.

Will cost them a lot of tickets and albums in the long run.

They weren't making a real comeback regardless. They're deluded if they think their album will really sell. The tour might be big, as nostalgia tours often are.
