Time will tell. I'm convinced it is fixed, but we'll see.

Btw, I predict Jordis will be the most famous singer to come out of this show, including the winner. Just my $.02, flame away.

Mig's performance reminded me of a Japanese singer that knows no English, but can sing a song in it. Horrible, very weird vibe to his sound on it. IMO he has been the bottom performer the last 3 weeks, yet has only been in the bottom once and escaped elimination.

I still say JD is the best for this band, he would do the best with their back catalog and he has great stage presence. Marty is good singer, maybe the best left, but he is not right for the band. Mig, just needs to go back to Broadway with Ty.

What's weird is that this makes perfect sense to me and I agree with it 100%.

I agree as well. I think it has to do with his movements on stage. It's like he stands there and every once in a while he reminds himself to make some movements. So he flails his arm or something. I don't think he's too comfortable on stage. I would be willing to bet that he would look like Elaine from Seinfeld if he danced.

INXS has the a wide range of options with the three left:

Mig - the safest of the bunch and most likely to be picked if they basically want to stay status quo with the type of music they make. Will not add anything to the band, but will also not cause problems backstage and could be easilly controlled by the other members.

JD - the middle of Mig and Marty. Adds the sex appeal that Mig tries too hard to get and Marty does not posses. At times seems to be a kiss-ass, but we don't know if it is an act. The most likely to be a cancer behind the scenes. Will add something new to the bad, but may shut-down if he feels rejected.

Marty - the most radical departure for the band. Has been the most honest one of the bunch and the most likely to be a true leader for the band. May struggle with the back catalog. INXS will choose them if they really want to re-invent themselves.

Moose knuckle? ha ha. never heard that one before. is that a northern thing, or just the guy's equivalent of camel toe?

the move that Mig does on stage that annoys me EVERY time i see it is when he moves either forward or backward, but kicks his leg out behind him as he does it. hard to explain, but it looks very strange.

my eyes almost rolled out of my head when Mig tore his shirt. And cusm, great analogy on Mig's performance.

I think JD is the best fit. and yes, i am already sick of pretty vegas. we've heard it what, 4 times already? geez. at least he switched it up and went acoustic last night.

Marty is very talented, but just doesn't seem to mesh with INXS. I don;t think they'd stray that much from their back catalog. Trees, although having simplistic (even dumb) lyrics, is a better song than "Pretty Vegas", at least IMO. I love the last part he sings (forget the words), he delivers it perfectly.

oh, and like someone said, Jordis will be great. suzie could be in a band, but was not the best woman. she has NO moves on stage, except to try and be sexual with a guitarist, which comes off as comical.

That's actually a little bit of what Suzie remind me of with whatever she was doing. I wanted her to win, but I'm sure that's why she didn't.

I still think Jessica had the best stage presence of the women. If you paired Jessica's stage presence and look with Suzie's voice and sweetness (Jessica had a sort of gruff unapproablility), there'd probably be a woman in the top three.

I was actually pleasantly surprised to hear they dropped Suzie. I was sure they'd keep her around to the final just to have a woman there even though there was no chance of her winning. It's good to see the top three performers actually made the final show, though as has been said, if Mig wins I think maybe the fix was in. But then again, why would they want automatically want an Australian? To sell more records in Australia? No offense to them, I love 'em down under, but I'd rather suck up to America's 300 million strong record buying public. Maybe he got tossed in at the end to boost the down under TV ratings. Since the next show is the final, he would be done serving that purpose.

As with all shows of this format (like The Apprentice), the band, INXS, could have chosen the winner before the first airing and simply steered the eliminations around the voting (challenge) results. Suzie in the bottom three six times before getting bounced is some evidence of that. But I think the cream rose to the top, and they can pretty fairly justify any of these guys left as a winner. What I am looking forward to hearing is their reasoning on how they decide amongst the last three. All are talented performers, but very different personalities and styles and abilities.

I really liked this series quite a bit even though when I first heard about it I was not interested. I didn't even see the first two weeks of episodes. But when I tuned in I was hooked, because it was so NOT American Idol, which I had wrongly thought it would mimic.

I still think you'd need Jordis' image. Who wants their female rock singer annoyingly sweet. You need someone with an edge. I actually prefer Jordis' stage presence more than Jessica. She doesn't move all that often but that isn't the key. You just have to look comfortable.

sorry, those statements really shouldn't have been linked. I wasn't saying Jordis had moves and Suzie didn't. the moves statement was in comparing Suzie to the last 3 rockers.

Jordis doesn't have moves, but i think she'll be great for other reasons. She has the ability to captivate an audience without stage antics. I like suzie, but she didn't have that ability.

See, my least favorite thing about Jordis was her stage presence. The constant smiling, and the weird semi-clap thing she did. I don't think she always looked comfortable, especially during the INXS numbers and stuff like "Layla". Looking happy doesn't always mean comfortable.

As for movement, to me it's all about the context of the song... you shouldn't be dancing around during "Wish You Were Here", but you also shouldn't be a statue during "We Will Rock You".

This is somewhat related. Remember how they said go to rockstar.msn.com and register to win a Honda Civic. I go there and try to enter my name and address and WTF? No FL. I have never really seen a contest that excludes a particular state. Any thoughts on why?

It probably depends on the laws governing requirements for such a contest in the state, or any number of things, usually legal in nature.

Or it could be that INXS doesn't care about Florida people.

I believe that this show and other reality shows are definitely "scripted". I went to the 9/14 show and could tell from Suzie's look that she was leaving. This "look" was prior to the start of rolling the film at the start of the show. I with others that the winner is already known. Another interesting thing is that no one at the show was able to get tickets to the final show and, a lot of the people there have been to several of them. Not sure what to make of that.

I was going to type it that way, but I didn't want to alter the delicate prose style of Kanye West.

I must agree that Jordis by far was the best performer, and the most electric singer of EVERYONE there. She just had that *it* factor that no one left has. Too bad shes gone. I would buy her record anyday.

JD is annoying. The band will crumble with him in it.

Mig looks old, acts annoying, and is not much of a singer. Bad moves.

Marty has no charisma, is too obsessed with 'feelings' and 'emotions' and is bland.

So thats it, the show is more or less over no matter who wins now. BORING.

The bottom line to this entire discussion is who's album would you buy. Thats all that matters.

Would i buy any of the remaining 3 with INXS's album? No
Would I buy Jordis with INXS? no
Who's SOLO album would I buy? Jordis and maybe Marty, depending on what kind of music he put out. But i'd buy Jordis' first

So to me, that makes Jordis the winner in my book. Doesn't mean she's the best singer, or hte best performer. It means she'd sell me a record.

How does everyone else answer these questions?

It seems like the bottom line to any discussion YOU are in is "the show is fixed".

Anyway, no, the point is to discuss the show. I would venture to guess that a large people here wouldn't buy the new INXS NO MATTER WHO won of even any of the 15 in it. It's entertainment, nothing more.

It's clear you like Jordis, but objectively speaking, she has a long way to go. She has limited range, an almost zero sense of melody or timing and a very strained voice that would probably give out on her halfway into a show. She always seemed like she was pushing the "sk8tr, reeferhead" look just to push it and be different. I'm sure she can work on her talent and be successfuly, but ultimately, she's very forgettable.

I like JD. Always have. He's the only one that has what it takes to be a STAR. If the best Marty can put forward is "trees", well then, good luck with that. Mig is probably best suited to the stage. In fact, i'd be very surprised if we heard from any of these people again (JD excluded).

Of course, these are my own opinions. I've enjoyed participating in the thread with all of you.
