Looks like you may get an additional 4 extra play days for making a character on Lightbringer, CaptainMarvel since that was one of the the servers brought down. Depending on when you created your account, you may be looking at up to a week's extra playtime. Not bad.

I only played for a month on Sargeras. I played my last game of WoW a few minutes ago and I already miss it. It was a choice between studying or playing and if I still had the account I know which choice I would be making as my, "I am only going to play for an hour" became two and then three hours.

can't check right now since I'm at work.
I do know for sure that the hardest recepies sold by the guy at aeirie peak has skill of 250.
i.e. rugged leather armour patch requires a skill of 250 and it is 1 of the last recipes you can buy from him.
can't really read any Wow forums since they're blocked for me at work![Frown](/images/smilies/frown.gif)

My night elf rogue is up to 11 now on Feathermoon. That's with maybe 10 hours of play.
This is a really fun game. I'm still a little strapped for cash though... I'm used to being poor in RPGs at the beginning, but not this poor.
One question: I really would like to learn how to use one handed swords. I think I can learn that at 20; the problem is, I think the trainer is in Stormwind, which is a completely different continent. I've figured out how to get to the Hippogryphs and boats from the Night Elf cities, but that really only gets me to the right continent... do I just have to walk on foot the rest of the way?

If you do need to get to Stormwind, you'll have to take the boat from Darkshore to Menethil Harbor in the Wetlands. From there you will follow the path east and south which will get you to Dun Morogh. Follow that till you hit Ironforge. From Ironforge, take the tram to Stormwind.

I found her, but she only trains in Bows and Fist weapons. It lets you ask her about other weapons trainers, and she said I'd need to go to Stormwind to get trained in swords (and really in most other weapons I'm interested in).
I'm using daggers right now, but I did train in bows so I could pull enemies a little easier.

My NE rogue did the trek at lvl 12 and the only "dangerous" part is from Menethil to Loch; some lvl 21 crocs but keep your eyes open and you should be fine

I got eaten alive by a crock, but that was back when I was 6 or 7. I've got some new tools that should make the trip a little easier.

Interesting interview with Blizzard at www.penny-arcade.com today regarding all the recent server problems. A highlight:
Wow.
According to our research, other successful MMOGs in the U.S. had achieved roughly 300,000 subscribers after 12 months of operation. What ended up happening with World of Warcraft is that we achieved double these numbers in approximately the first six weeks of launch.

Any advice you can give me? I've been pumping my talent points into Sinister Strike so far, but I don't know really how I'm going to take my character after this. PvP is not a concern for me, since I have nearly no interest in it.

It really depends on what kind of rogue you want. Check out your talent trees and see which one you want to master. You will only be able to accumilate enough talent points to reach the bottom of one of the trees so see which one best suits your style of playing. I have a level 50 rogue and the majority of my talent point are in the Assassination tree. I am now working on the combat tree and have zero points in the sublety tree. My rogue is pure damage at this point, with a pretty high chance at landing critical strikes. On a few occasions, I've done 1400+ damage on 5-point eviscerates.

I found him last night.
The trip wasn't nearly as bad this go round... I only caught aggro once, and Sprint let me get away pretty easily.
It was neat trekking through Ironforge. I think I'm going to stay on this continent for a while. I like it better than the Night Elves homeland.

I imagine there's lots of DVDTalkers still playing, but we're scattered amongst different servers.
As always, I recommend that you choose a Low or Medium population server. If you don't want PvP, RP is preferable to PvE.
