Anyone have a character on the Thunderhome CST server?

Heh, well i'm not getting played to play it per se, but i do need to be familiar with it.
Meanwhile, moved on to a lower populated server to avoid long queue times... off to Crushridge now.

Just so you aren't suprised, these are non-combat pets that don't do anything except follow you around and take up a slot in your inventory.

I thought about buying an owl, but decided that anything that takes up a slot in my inventory AND doesn't help out in combat is a waste.

BTW, A new patch coming today, and it includes Christmas content. Should be fun. Prepare for a 39 meg download tonight.

btw, i'm on Warsong as Graydeth - Nightelf Hunter. total n00b w/ mmorpgs and this is my first foray into the genre. WoW reminds me of diablo except there are a lot of other people. i did have fun although i was definitely overwhelmed w/ the commands.
tomorrow, i'll start up my ffxi account and see what that's like.

Your graphics card is intergrated into the motherboard. It is sort of hard to gauge compatibility, it isn't a typical add on card such as Nvidia or ATI, so I am not sure it would be on the list of compatible cards. It may work but a more than two year old intergrated card might not give the best performance. You might want to look into adding a cheap budget graphics card for abou $70, and maybe consider that if you try WOW and can't get it to work. I have heard WOW doesn't take that much to run though so you might be okay.

Well this patch pisses me off a bit. Monday night I hit level 30 so I did all my Rogue training that night. The patch comes out yesterday and they lower training costs for the Rogue class. One of the items I trained in, Blinding Powder, was then changed to a higher level so I lost that and wasted a little over 1 gold for nothing. Dammit, I demand a virtual refund.
Not to mention as soon as I walked into a town, I was pummeled by snowballs.

That patch took forever to get last night. I'm not liking the Blizzard downloader at all it seems very slow.

I agree that the download utility (which is nothing more than a crappy bittorrent client) is unacceptable. There are several threads in the official forums complaining about it. Luckily, several folks in the community threw up mirrors, and I got mine from one of those in a matter of minutes.
Here's one you can use if anybody's still struggling with the automatic system:

yeah. the patch download pissed me off royally.
Its only 40 megs and it took me over 2 hours to download it.
I even turned off my firewall.
They really need to change it soon.

Like almost 4hours to get it...that slow. I have the free version of Zone Alarm that doesn't allow specific port setting so I'm sure the firewall is part of the problem. But like someone else said, even shutting it down does not make it any faster.
