New News on wipeout ...
TOKYO--While it is already known that Wipeout Pure for the PSP will get downloadable content, some new details have leaked from Japan. According to retail sources, Sony plans to release roughly two new courses, hovercrafts, and soundtrack songs each month.

The rough calculation of 48MB of updates during the six-month period suggests that gamers probably won’t be able to fit in all the updates into the default 32MB Memory Stick that comes included with the PSP Value pack.

I would have pre-ordered from EB, but the fact that they can't guarantee it at launch sucks. Id rather drive around and find one.

Well I got my email from EB as well. Games I went with were:

Ridge Racers
Untold Legends: Brotherhood of the Blade
Lumines

I was kinda bummed that Hot Shots Golf didn't make it for launch. Oh well. For my 4th item I was going to go with an accessory, not a memory card tho. I'll get a larger card off of ebay and save some $$$. I was either going to go with the PSP Charger Case - $59.99 or the PSP Mobile kit- $39.99. Any of you hear anything good/bad about either item? My original plan was just to get a decent carry case for the thing and pick up an extra battery but the Charger case seems like a nice way to keep both the PSP protected and extend the battery life.

Was playing lumines again this morning... man , i missed playing it!

Hooked it up to my reciever and it sounded great, and after play a continous 40 minute round... time has never gone by so fast!

If you are wondering what other titles you are going to pick up.. lumines should be on your list.

I am just going to go and get games and leave my US psp preorder on order until i want one. Getting Wipeout Pure (the download content looks good!),Twisted Metal and untold legends. No need for RR since they only added 1 tour to the list and already happy with lumines.

Setzer, you know you have to order 4 additional items right? Just reminding you since you didn't list a 4th.

Any word on which games you can play over the internet in infrastructure mode(not in ad-hoc mode)? I'm thinking of getting Lumines, Ridge Racers, Tony Hawk, and one more game... haven't decided yet.

For anyone interested, I made a few PSP Videos

There are about 37 or so total right now (3 of which were made by CaptainN8712 on the IGN Boards, so big thanks to him and same to fusion-one for hosting them)

http://xero.bilnnetwork.com

The .mp4's will play in quicktime, .wmv's in windows media.

Those 11 are the only games I have right now, so I tried to show a little of each.

Did they say when you would get it? I'm wondering if Sony's promise of 1 millions PSPs on launch day is going to make it easier to get one.

Nope. The e-mail didn't say where in line I am in preorders. I placed the order back in January, so I'm hoping I'm pretty high on the list.

I was told yesterday at Circuit City, that they could not let you pre-order until a week before release. I have a large amount on a gift card so I'm really wanting to buy mine there - but they say they haven't got a UPC code for it yet, so can't let anyone pre-order, although they have large displays of the cardboard boxes and games...

Anyone have any details about pre ordering at Circuit City?

Thats from Namco Museum,
it includes 7 'classic games' (Galaga, Galaxian, pacman, Mrs. pacman, Dig dug, Rally X and new Rally X), as well as 4 'remakes' (galaga, pacman, rally x, dig dug)

Its a bargain game so its pretty cheap, and whats nice is you can share the games with other people by sending it to them wirelessly,

Ah, I misread your post. I thought you had just pre-ordered. I didn't realize you were finalizing your pre-order.

Never mind - I was just told they aren't doing preorders and just to show up on the day... oh well. I could ask a different store clerk tomorrow but it would just be a different, more complex answer. I'm going to chance it.
