good lookin' out, musick. I placed an order (w/NBA). They let you cancel up until 3/23 just in case something "better" pops up (even though I didn't get the Best Buy RZ preorder opportunity, i'm still holding out hope for them on a regular preorder as I have a $100 electronic gift certificate. I guess I could always just use that for games, though)

My willpower to resist getting a PSP is getting smaller and smaller. My wife wants to go on vacation in a few months and I am pondering getting one since I'm generally very bad on car trips.
I am going to wait and not preorder anywhere since I'm not in any huge hurry. I think I'll wait to see when Wal-Mart gets them in so I can use my associate discount and get 10% off. If Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2005 wasn't a part of the launch list I wouldn't be nearly as interested. I also have to find a good deal on a 1 GB Memory Stick so I can load some vids up on it too.

Kind of off topic, but wanted to get some second opinions.
I've got a PSP pre-ordered at EB Games as I put down $125 in store credit (I purged my collection last month when they were offering the trade in 2 games for $10 bonus credit). I currently own an Xbox, a Gamecube and a Nintendo DS and I'm wondering if I wouldn't just be better off just getting a PS2 instead of a PSP as I'm not exactly overwhelmed with the initial game selection with the PSP.
Anybody getting the PSP that doesn't already have a PS2?

I plan on picking up a PSP though I have never owned a PS2.
PSP has me sold on it's other media capabilites, mainly the ability to play videos. Plus, I'm looking forward to the web browser. As for the games, I do have some pre-ordered, but I probably could have waited. None of games being released for the PSP have been a determining factor in my decision to own a PSP.

You can make it through the game real easily. Most of it is pretty straightforward, but if you ever get lost, just look at the guide (which is very basic and just tells you what to do), or the Game Script to see what went on.
Probably too much hassle for most people, but for me I can play it a while then just read the script for the dialog I 'missed' to catch up on what went on.

We won't be going on vacation for a few moths and I'd rather wait and see what specials and deals are out there in a few months instead of getting a worthless bundle of games right now. I only want 1 or 2 games and I'm not so interested in all the peripherals and crap. I want a nice simple bundle and I'm willing to wait.

Be like me I will probably just get one at Walmart, since there's no game bundles just the system for $250. They had a sign up advertising they will definitly have them on the 24th. I'll have to ask a HS classmate, who is the electronics mgr, if there going to do the midnight sale like PS2.

I pre-ordered mine from Game Rush since I had over $200 in-store credit. There's no reason you should be stuck w/a bundle deal. I'm sure, Circuit/Best Buy/Target/Walmart and other local retailers will have a few in stock.

I have pre-orders with EB Games and Gamestop. I called both stores today and, only EB Games had changed their delivery schedule. Any pre-orders taken before yesterday were guaranteed first day delivery. Which ever store calls me first is who will get my money.

The salesguy at EBgames talked me into getting a PSP today, $20 down guarantees me a PSP on launch day. He said there was a decent chance of a midnight opening too. I put down money on Ridge Racer and Ape Escape just to be safe too. I'm not planning on spending $50 for any PSP game, so either there are going to be some sale or I'll wait for a price drop.
