I had this problem once in WipeOut. Did the same thing to fix it. Never had the problem again.

Has Sega announced anything yet for the PSP?

I bought Street too. The rosters are crap, and I can't believe you can't trade players (though maybe you couldn't do that in the console games either, i don't remember). It's pretty fun, but the framerate starts to hurt my eyes after a while, and I have yet to find a great camera angle... or maybe I just suck at the game. Do you use the analog nub or the d-pad to control the players?

I bought this game a couple weeks ago. Its such a beautiful game, i still cant believe something that looks that good is a "portable" game. Also, many people have mentioned loading problems in between holes. I really dont find that to be a big deal at all, its maybe 10-15 seconds and that does not bother me at all. It took me this long to get the game because there were so many complaints about loading. I dont see it being a big deal, I really dont.

Has anyone tried that "fast play" mode for multiplayer (between to or more psp's)? A friend of mine is getting this real soon, so we will be able to try it out, but supposedly it has a feature that when you are playing against each other, you can go at your own pace and you actually play at the same time, instead of waiting for the other player and taking turns. You will see different colors of streaks flying around to let you know what your opponents ball is doing. I really with Tiger 2005 for the xbox had this mode, or if it does I have not been able to get it working. Links 2004 for the xbox had this mode and it made that game a BLAST!!!

Hey karnblack, I'm trying to use that organizer your roommate made (sounds cool too) but I'm getting the following error when I try to run either version (and after running the EXEs for all the Utilities.)

"Component 'TABCTL32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."

Any thoughts?

Edit: NEVERMIND. I fixed it. I had to download that OCX and register it, but all seems to be working now.

I'll report back with impressions.

Cool. I don't really know too much about the program other than what it does and how to use it. I'll report any more findings to my roommate since he's the one programming it. I haven't had much time to fiddle with it myself. Also, feel free to add suggestions on what features you would like to see in the program. He has a list of stuff to do which is on his website at the link I provided, but he's always looking for more ways to make it better. He seems to spend a lot of his time programming lately. I just saw him start programming one day not long after he got his PSP, and I asked him what he was working on but he didn't want to say just yet. Then about a week or two ago he tells me, and it actually seems pretty cool.

I really like Tiger Woods. I've gotten fully adjusted to the controls and the inital load time is really the only overly long one. Between holes its not too bad. By far my favorite PSP game so far as I got bored with Tony Hawk and Lumines fairly quickly, but this one keeps me playing more and more.

Don't know what caused the freeze and it hasn't happened since I posted, but I have been playing it safe and I save every 2-3 holes just in case.

Hot Shots looks to be pretty good as well so I will keep an eye on it.

BTW has anyone noticed that Atom Films has a mobile movie section with videos enhanced for the PSP. Only three so far, but it looks like a lot of companies are trying to tie into the PSP and its multimedia capabilities.

Well Darkside, I figured since you quoted me, I should quote you right back

Here are all the "PSP DOWNLOAD" sites I have found so far. Everything from pics, to music, to video's specially encoded for the psp!!!

http://www.29hdnetwork.com/psp_guide.html

http://www.us.playstation.com/Content/Sites/65/Info/

http://www.gamespot.com/features/psp..._topslot_click

http://www.atomfilms.com/af/spotligh...emovietheater/

http://www.pspmagazines.com/

http://www.flickr.com/photos/bernardroth/sets/270557/ (This one is STARCHARTS for the PSP)

http://www.variancepress.com/downloads/index.htm

http://psp.connect.com/

I have downloaded a TON of media from these sites to play around with on my PSP, and I check them quite often, things are always being added. Have fun fellow PSP owners!!

There's a good amount of movie trailers here that are 32MB friendly if you still have the stock duo: http://discuss.mobiledeviant.com/showthread.php?t=551

I found the japanese download packet up on a PSP website, but AFAIK no one has been able to get them to work with the US version of Wipeout Pure. Supposedly the first download set for the US version will be May 14th, so not too much more of a wait.

Finally found a decent deal on a 512mb stick and picked one up for $52 on Amazon after a $10 Vividence survey gift certificate. I would like a 1GB one, but that is just not going to be in the budget for awhile.

I also got to borrow Untold Legends for awhile and really liked it. Nice Baulder's Gate type game.

Next up, MVP baseball and I'm really tempted to get Wipeout as well.

Golf! Whoa, looks a lot like Mario Golf too.. I wonder if it plays as good. I like that you can create your own characters (at least it looks that way from the screens). Might have to give one of the PS2 versions a spin to see how I like it.
