I got my ZG epic shoulders last night. now i have 4 epics. we had a good time in ZG last night and were able to take down the bat, snake, spider, bloodlord and tiger all in one night. Hopefully the next time ZG doesnt reset between tuesday and thursday we can try out hakkar (we still need to kill panther which we havent done yet, but we've only tried on one run).

ZG is on a 3 day timer, we are having a hell of a time on the panther, we've had about 10 attempts on it between 2 runs, the best we have done is 39%.

Jindo and Arlokk are both harder than Hakkar IMHO. Hakkar with the pather aspect is a bit harder than normal, but completeky manageable.

Our guild schedules raids at 5:30 PST server time, and unfortunately, that doesn't work for me. So I'm never there for our ZG runs. I've had to resort to doing pugs and for the most part, bat, snake, spider, and bloodlord aren't a problem. But tiger always seems to be a major pain. Taking down the three at the same time requires a bit too much coordination for a pug to handle. Man I hate Thekal.

Darn you Fuzzbox for feeding into my addiction!!! I'll probablly be level 20 or more before the 10 day trial is over and I purchase WoW. I'm even going to purchase an extra gig of ram for this. I'm officially a wow zombie now.

I think you're limited to level 20 in the trial period.... you really think you're gonna play that much to get 20 levels in 10 days? if so, good luck....

On the other hand- great game, isn't it? It's probably single-handedly responsible for my lack of sleep the last few months... And there are some aspects of the game I never really worked with until the last few weeks, like professions, and dungeons... and I have no clue what ZG is that the above posters are talking about...

our group might try panther boss out tonight. we havent downed him yet but he's the only one standing in the way of Hakkar now (we've kill the other priests atleast 3 times each). I read about one strategy where you have all the ranged attackers stand at one spot in the middle of the room. when a person get marked they go to that spot and then a warlock or 2 will spam hellfire while a dedicated healer keeps them and the marked person alive. Anyone ever do it this way?

ZG stands for Zul'Gurub. It's a 20 man instance in STV(Stranglethorn Vale).

The way I've seen Panther done the easiest is to have your mages be on frost nova duty on the panthers, a healer or 2 to heal the marked person, and the rest as DPS on the boss. 3 mages is ideal, 2 would work too. The way it works is you position the mages near the panther spawns( between the 2 fenced area entrances ), and a 3rd one by the gong if you have a 3rd one available. If someone gets marked, they run towards the mages while the mages alternate casting frost nova to root the panthers in place. The marked person should try to run around the mages, while also avoiding the packs rooted by frost nova. That's what works best for our guild, it may not be the best for yours, but its worth a shot.

sooo true!

I started in the first part of June...from scratch.

I am currently a level 55 Warlock with lots of blue gear, 3150 life and 4600 mana...and having a blast!!!

I'm hoping to be 60 at about the 2 month mark which is just over a week away, might take a bit longer though. I'm going to hit 56 later tonight. Currently questing in the Plaguelands.

Started saving up for my epic mount at level 60. I've talked with 2 other 60 warlocks and it cost them just over 600 gold. Both of them have offered to give me some of the mats associated with this quest but I've set a goal of September 1st to have 400 gold saved up...about 30% there so far

My guild is doing ZG runs and doing well. They're also running MC and starting AQ 20 soon. I don't think I'll be joining them right away...want to finish up some rep quests, etc.

All's well in the WoW

I just managed to get my epic mount on my 60 Druid. Cost 800 G, which hurt, but it was totally worth it.

I basically sold a ton of disenchanted mats and leather and every.single.thing that I could on the Auction House, even if I only got 50 silver or so for it. Then I got some big blue drops running one of the instances and managed to sell them for 350-ish total, which put me over the top.

My guild is doing a lot of raiding but the times never work with my schedule. I'm having fun running instances when I can and running up my Priest alt - level 24 and climbing!

yeah, you probably will. I think I hit level 5 or so the first day, and then only played a level a day for a while after that. I guess I wasn't too addicted back then...

Now I'm around 36.5, and hitting the point where grinding actually makes more sense than questing. yipee.

Oh, I saw it for $29.99 this past saturday at Target. Not as cheap as the $19.99 I've seen it as, but decent...

the mid 30s suck for questing, in my opinion. going from 32-38 was always tough for me. Around 36-39 you can start running Scarlet Monistary and early Uldaman a bunch fo level up fast. In the 50s you get tons of points for questing and there seems to be a lot of quests between the plaguelands, u-goro crater, silithus, winterspring/felwood, and the badlands/burning steppes.

I made level 20 today and could probablly go higher if my uncle wasn't flying in from LA this week. I'll be purchasing the full version fuzzbox, so you'll get the free month of wow Now I need to find what profs will be a good combo for my Mage. All this training for skills is really costing me some dough.
I was such a retard, I didn't know how to get to Loch Modan. I was trying to walk all the way there, and the only path I could find at the time was through the Burning Steeps. Not a good idea for a below 20 toon. Needless to say, I was killed abould half a dozen times before I used my hearthstone to go back to goldshire. I finally did the newbie thing where I just asked a bunch of people in the middle of town how the hell do I get to Loch Modan. I didn't know you could take a tram to ironforge. I thought you had to walk everywhere unless you discovered a flight path. The tram was a savier and I got to loch modan finally.

If you download the trial, and then end up buying the retail, you actually have to go buy the retail box and uninstall the trial to reinstall the retail? That seems like a lot of wasted time. Blizzard should just let you buy the game directly from them and not make you go buy the media. All you would need is your cd key and the trial client then. Oh well. I really want this but I will probably have to wait a month or so more since I need to upgrade some of my system before playing it. Let me tell you guys something, and then you tell me how screwed I am.

Duron 1.2
512MB RAM
16MB Nvidia Vanta
20GB HDD (this needs to be added to first since I keep having to clear out the drive because it fills up)

I will have to at least replace the video card and buy an additional drive before trying this one out. How will the Duron and 512RAM do though? Guess I need to keep an eye out for deals on video cards and HDD.

Edit:
By the way, Darth Creepio, your xbox 360 is calling for you, it seems pretty pissed. Don't be surprised if you get the RoD next time you try to play it.

The trial and the retail copy are exactly the same thing. The differences are based on the account, so you would need to purchase the retail copy in order to "upgrade" to a full account. You wouldn't need to reinstall the game, as the data is exactly the same. You keep your characters from the trial too.

Your current CPU and RAM will get you running, but the game will really chug in the large cities and highly populated areas. The game also takes up ~5 GB of space and growing with each patch, so hard drive space could be a large concern.

Of course, if you're going to end up spending a few hundred bucks on upgrades to be able to play games like WoW, buying a cheap computer for ~500 might be more worth it

I've played some old xbox games. Apparently my 360 blog doesn't care about the old xbox games I've played. It will get lots of time this fall with Splinter Cell 4, Fear, Lego Star Wars, and Half Life 2. Right now I'm cheating on my 360, and it's with my mistress called Wow.

Question: If I add one of those 60 days cards to it as well, will it still count the first 30 days that are supposed to be free?

Sounds like you're following a very similar path to me, and making the same mistakes too. When someone told me there was a Tram, I was just blown away, and then when I took it and started to get an idea of just how HUGE the world was, it really showed me that I'd barely explored anything....

I'm also a Mage, and I chose Enchanting and Tailoring as professions. Enchanting is fun, but it's also ridiculously expensive to level it, as you wind up destroying good items that you find, rather than sell them. I took up tailoring just so I could make items that I can disenchant, to try to be self-sufficient. I'm not sure it's really working, but I'm staying relatively even.

I hit level 37 last night, and I only have 15 gold, not even close enough to the 40 I'll need to get a mount when I hit level 40. I have to do some serious work if I don't want to be walking everywhere.

And thanks again. Any free time is good for me :-)

FYI. A lv40 mount doesn't cost 40g. It's more like 80g or so, with another 18g for training to be able to ride your mount. Those are approximate costs, not exact. If you have someone you trust and they have a higher rep with the faction you want to buy the mount from, they get a 10% discount. They get another 10% discount if you have a pvp rank of 4 or higher. At rank 4 and with honored reputation, a lv 40 mount will cost you 64g.

I just got back from Target and purchased Wow for $29.99. Sure it's not $19.99 like some places have had it in the past, but it's still better than the stardard $39.99 that most places are selling it for. Thanks for the tip Fuzzbox. I'll probablly activate the retail code this weekend after I install another gig of memory this thursday. So how does this work, will Blizzard send you an email telling you about your free month for signing up a friend? I don't have to do anything myself for you to get it, correct?

Right now I'm leaning torwards alchemy/herbalism. From what I read in the forums, it's good for solo players and players who don't want to rely on others. I had to solo a lot on the trial account since I couldn't participate in chat channels. Maybe that will change when I can do things via email and the chat channels. It's always more fun working with others, but sometimes it can be a pain finding someone to do your particular quests with you.

P.S. About the whole trasportation issue I had earlier. I knew I probablly could have checked the forums or thotbot, but I struggle with the whole learning things on your own vs finding out every spoiler on the websites and forums. It sure is a lot easier finding it out than traveling around and dieing like the retard I was earlier.

That's a good combo for a mage. Just realize, you will generally make more money selling herbs than pots. So just make pots that you can use, or share with people you group with.
