My 58 Warlock is 300herb/300alchemy and its been working well. I've made well over 100g+ selling herbs in stacks of 20. The warlocks free mount at level 40 has helped immensely. I've purchased a ton of items and had to spend quite a bit on other things so I only have like 50-60g right now...but its easy grinding to make good cash at high levels.

My next roll is a mage with tailoring/enchanting. Gonna start her very very soon I've watch several cold mages single handedly just destroy groups of mobs along with taking on single mobs who never even get close before they're dead. I'm going to have alot of fun running a cold mage!

And I'd agree with joeblow69. Most of the pots I make are for me or party members. I've sold a few, Elixir of the Mongoose sells for like 10g for 5...sold a few stacks of those.

Michael Ballack- as long as you're using the same e-mail addreess I sent the key to, I think it gets credited to me automatically. You're actually my first ever referral, so tt's new for me as well (hopefully this talk doesn't get the thread locked ;-) )

Eelkram- Crap. I don't know where I heard that. I guess that's what I get for assuming. I guess I have a FAR way to go then.... Maybe I'll be walking for a while longer. At least I get portals at level 40...

I'm doing a complete cold mage as well. I'm glad to hear it can be good. I chose cold mage because I thought that Gandalf from the LOTR movies was a master in the cold arts. I never read the LOTR books, so I only know him from the movies. I need to read the books someday. I find seeing movies before the books is better than reading books first and then seeing the movie. The book is usually always better, but seeing the movie first, you keep your expectations down.

You only need PVP rank 3 to get the extra 10% discount, not rank 4 as was previously stated.

doesn't help me either way. I hate PvP. I've never participated in a duel, and have no intentions on it. I only once wound up in a battleground by accident as a lowly level 25, and after 5 minutes of having my ass handed to me by others 5-10 levels higher than me, I learned all I ever need to about the PvP world.

Give me creatures and enemies to kill anyday.

I'm not a huge BG fan myself, but it's fun to go with groups/guildmates, especially when you are at the higher end of the bracket. WSG gets worse as you get higher, AB is fun when you've got a good team and AV can suck 3 hours out of your life like you wouldn't believe. Plus, you get a GREAT trinket for getting to rank 3, I think...Insignia of the Horde (don't know if Allies get the same). Does different things for different groups, but mine dispeals Fear, Charm and Stun - which is great.

All I do now is PVP and BG's... I love it....

Raiding gets very old after awhile. We have done all the instances and are flying through NAX. We do not even bother with MC, and we are talking about cutting BWL out as well. Just AQ40 and NAX. Once you learn the pattren, of a NPC, it is no longer fun. PVP is always a fun. Of course have some of the best gear in the game helps as well.

I do however really enjoy PVP in the 20's bracket with my priest. They can be so much fun in PVP

Well, when its time to get your epic mount 100g is a good amount of savings. Besides its not all that hard to get rank 3, a couple days playing some BGs will get you there easily.

Cutting BWL?!? Good grief, you must be in a hardcore guild. Our guild is barely talking about dropping MC altogether. Right now, it's once every two weeks for alts and it's non-dkp.

The disparity of gear in BG's is just insane. My priest (mostly in blues) gets whacked in the face with a Thunderfury way too often.

So my memory is being delivered today. I'm upgrading from 1 gigs to 2 gigs. What kind of performance increase will I see in WOW? I have a Radeon 9800 128mb video card, 2.4 ghz Pentium 4, and am currently running my monitor resolution at 1024 by 768. Right now I'm averaging about 60fps, but sometimes in the crowded areas it will drop to 30fps. What kind of settings will I be able to crank up with the added memory? Thanks guys.

We do not have many people that need anything in BWL. We are going to open it up for all the alts.

for the more advanced people:

Do some of the flight paths only open up later, or as the result of quests?

Last night, against better judgement, I wanted to wander around and open up some more flight paths. I travelled east through Ashenvale Forest (where I do have a path) over to Azshara. According to http://www.kaldorei.com/worldmap/, there is an Alliance flight path at Talrendis Point, but after getting there and getting killed a few times (i'm l37, creatures there are 45+), I gave up after finding no trace of a gryfon, or even any other trace of Alliance at all. The same thing happened when I went off to find Chillwind Point in Alterac Mountains- nothing there.

any clue?

You have to find them. I've got two jpgs with maps of each continent, including flight paths, that I printed off right when I started the game.

A lot of times you'll get a delivery quest that is more or less meant to get you over into a new area. But unfortunately there is a lot of hoofing. Did you actually get to Talrendis Point? In the town? I'm not an ally but it should have been there.

Yep, I discovered TP, and even had to be resurrected in the graveyard there a few times, but didn't see another other character around, much less a flight point.

maybe I'm just blind. But the exact same thing happened at Chillwind point. Got there, discovered it, but found no trace of anything...

Again, not an ally so I've never been to this place, but "discovering" it can happen a little ways before you get to the town. And a FP is always in a town, village, group of huts, etc. It's never just out in the middle of nowhere. So unless you found some vendors and other NPCs walking around, you didn't actually find TP itself.

And the graveyard isn't necessarily that close to the town.

There's no town by this flight path, just 3 or 4 scattered alliance (no buildings I can think of, although there might be a tent kind of off on the side) and a flight path. Even less of a town than Chillwind point (which at least has a building and a couple of tents). It's really close to the entrance to the zone (go in, hang a right, you should find it fast).

Re: Gandalf - He's actually the "keeper of the sacred flame" and a master of fireworks. he also hurls fireballs/flaming-pinecones so i would say he is a fire mage.

My guild hit AQ20 for the first time last night and took down Kurinaxx on the second try. Pretty awesome. We tried the general reaxx(?) event and was able to kill 3 captains before wiping. We then went over and quickly killed the snake boss in ZG before callling it a night.

Took me awhile to find the Chillwind Point one also. Its actually in the very southern tip of the Western Plague Lands. (North of the Alterac Mts.)

I've found all of the flight points on both continents for Alliance. Finally hit 60. When I needed the location of a flight point I always checked the World Map on the main WoW site.

http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/flashmap/

I've been in on 2 AQ20 raids (Kurinaxx), killed Garr in MC and had several runs on a few of the bosses in ZG. The guild I'm in is going to start and finish ZG in the next 2 days starting tonight...so it should be fun

Server lag seems to be a recurrent thing on Monday evenings. I think it's that there's a rush to try to get in play time before the scheduled downtime Tuesday days..

oh, for some reason I was sure it was supposed to be at the building alongside the river. I couldn't find anything there except the 1 structure that didn't do anything and an NPC that wouldn't talk to me. I guess I should have gone farther north.

Not that it's really relevant right now, as my friends and I are working on Stranglethorn Vale at the moment. but I'll remember that when we're levelled up enough to take on those damn Crushridge ogres...

I started a warlock alt on Aerie-Peak with a bunch of friends and the lag on that server is horrible. The latency is fine but sometimes my pets would randomly despawn and my insta-cast spells would take a few seconds to cast. And believe me, I'm not the only one experiencing it. Never was it this bad on Lightbringer.

I've tried about 5 servers and they're all lagging, the wow forum says they are getting ready to install stuff for the expansion and that some (try all)realms have issues.
